Chapter 176 : Alex motives

"But whatever it is, I'm feeling slightly irritated." is Will, who didn't like Elizabeth being affectionate with Alex.

"Yes, how dare they show their love in front of us, don't they care for single people like us, "said Jack with a sour expression.

"I can't see this anymore," said Jack as he couldn't bear to see this lover's quarrel anymore.

"Guys can you stop your argument?" said Jack loudly attracting the attention of Alex and Elizabeth who were quarrelling.

"Elizabeth, why don't we talk about it after some time?"Said Alex as he also felt this is not the time for a quarrel.

"Yes, it seems I also lost my cool, "said Elizabeth regaining her calm composure.

"Yeah you totally lost it, "said Alex

"Whose fault do you think it is?"

"Okay, it is my fault but I came here out of curiosity with no other motive," said Alex. He just came here out of curiosity about the level of God's power in this world.

"I believe you for now."

"So Alex, what is this about another world?, you two are talking about?" asked Jack.

"You heard that?" asked Alex.

"Yes, loud and clear, that you have lovers in the other world,"

"So what is this about? I know you're not normal, but this is on another level " said Jack as he pondered Alex's words.

"Yeah, miss Elizabeth what is this about? , is Alex cheating on you and making some excuses, "said Will

"No, he didn't cheat on me, but he hid many things from me, didn't you Alex ?" Said Elizabeth with a gloomy smile. She can't blame Alex she can blame herself for falling in love with Alex, who is full of mysteries.

"Yeah the situation demanded," said Alex as he avoided looking at Elizabeth, as he could clearly see that Elizabeth was in an unhappy mood because of coming to the island.

"What is that situation?" asked Jack

"Well, since it came to this island, I will tell you guys, but keep it a secret "

"You can trust me, Alex,I will keep it a secret, "said Jack with a serious face.

"I don't think Jack can keep it a secret," said Will as he saw Jack's face.

"Hey what do you mean by that?" shouted Jack

"That is true , he is like that? "Said Alex while nodding his head.

"Alex how did you become friends with such a jerk?" asked Elizabeth.

"Well it was an accidental meeting "

"Hey don't ignore me " roared Jack

"Jack always caused me many problems. He always used me as a shield to deal with his enemies."

"And he always makes a mess wherever he goes," said Alex as he thought about the mess Jack had caused when he was travelling with him.

"Well, enough about me, tell me what you were about to talk about," said Jack interrupting the conversation.

"Okay,I got sidetracked,first let me tell you why I came to this island "

"Do you believe in God?" asked Alex.

"What Alex are you trying to recruit us into religion?"

"I didn't know you were a scammer," said Jack. He didn't understand why Alex was talking about God now.

"I'm not, say it do you believe in God or not?"

"I believe in God," said Will

"Then what do you think if I say we are here to meet a goddess?" asked Alex.

"Alex, I think you ate something wrong today," Jack said after watching Alex do absurd things.

"No, it's the truth we came to this island to meet a goddess," said Alex with a serious face.

"What? You're not kidding?"

"Nope, since the beginning, it has been my goal to meet the goddess. I heard she is the patron god of this island."

"What?" x2 screamed both Jack and Will with shock on their faces

"Elizabeth says Alex is joking?" asked Jack in disbelief.

"No, it is true, I was shocked at first," said Elizabeth

"Alex, why are we searching for a goddess?" asked Will

"Yes, we may not know what that goddess will do to us."

"What if she asks for sacrifices and kills all of us?" wondered Jack as he thought of the crazy believers he met once on a certain island. They wanted to sacrifice him to their gods.

Thinking about that situation still made Jack very fearful and sent chills down his spine. He remembered the crazed look in their eyes and the intensity of the situation. He was sure if he didn't get away, he would have been sacrificed.

"Don't worry since I brought all of you here, your safety is my job."

"Even if that goddess wanted to kill all of you, she had to deal with me first," said Alex with a calm face and a reassuring look.

"Alex we are talking about a goddess. I know you are powerful "

"But dealing with goddesses is not like dealing with humans. I know you are strong compared to humans."

"But we are talking about goddesses, they will be on a whole different level, "said Jack.

As he remembered the legends of Calypso, he shuddered, realizing that the goddesses were feared and respected for their strength and power. They could create and destroy, bless and curse with the wave of a hand. They were creatures of immense power and wisdom, and Jack couldn't help but feel somewhat intimidated by them. He doesn't want to go anywhere near Goddesses or Gods or their crazy believers.
