Chapter 7

"Yes he is a monster, he would beat me, starve me, and if I did something wrong or not I would be thrown in the basement. The longest I was there was a week without food."

"Oh honey and I thought I had problems, Mine are nothing compared to yours." Emma sniffles.

"Yeah, last week he showed up to make me come home. But someone on the street helped me get away from him, the monster wants me to go back. I will not go back to him." She says with tears.

"You do not have to, I will help you." Emma comforts her.

"Thanks Emma." She smiles

They walk back to the dorm, As they approach they see a shadow of a tall figure in the alley way. They walk faster, then the voice of the shadow shouts Kira's name. She looks over her shoulder and her eyes widen when she sees him. Emma turns to see a tall built man she has never seen around. This must be her husband she thinks to herself. She then feels Kira tense up when she sees his face.

"What are you doing here? I told you that I will not come back with you." Kira said looking into his eyes.

"Yes she won't go with you so please stay away from her." Emma says defending her friend

The man chuckles, "She will come with me if she doesn't want to die."

Kira stares at him with wide eyes and shaking with fear. Emma sees this and drags her friend inside the building.

"See you soon, Kira. No one can protect you forever." He laughs evilly

The girls make it into the building and head upstairs. A few days later in the afternoon.

Kira has just returned from another rejection from a producer. Crying in her room Emma knocks on the door.

"Emma, I can not do this anymore. I am tired of the rejection." She cries

"I know this is hard but you will get a great part soon." she reassures her.

"No! I cannot take it anymore!" She shouts

Emma is shocked by her outburst. At a loss for words, she takes her hands in hers.

"Why don't we go out for some air?" She asks her

"No thank you, I'd rather be alone." looking down at their hands.

"I don't like the idea of leaving you alone like this." Emma says with concern.

"I would like to be alone to think about what to do next." she says with a small smile.

"Alright, I will be back in a few hours so we can cook and watch movies." she hugs her

"Ok, I will rest while you are gone." She climbs in bed.
