Chapter 12

"I am not working on anything right now." Says Emma.

"Oh, I would have thought with that famous boyfriend of yours, you would be famous by now. Not just a pretty housewife." she said, frowning.

"I know but I want to achieve everything with my own effort. Not because I have a rich boyfriend." She says trying to hide her anger.

"You should have been closer to Lia." She sighs "She could have helped you out a little bit." she said.

"No I shouldn't have. Lia was always on her own when it came to friendships." She said through gritted teeth "She was a hustler trying to make it, now she has the fame she always wanted."

"Well Emma…" Looks down at her watch. "I think you should go now. I have a new tenant coming to look at a room." sensing the tension in the room

"Yes I should be going." She says standing to leave.

"Goodbye dear, and thank you for helping me home today." She closes the door behind her as she leaves.

As she is leaving the building she is lost in her thoughts about everything that has happened to her within this last year. Not knowing where her feet are taking her she suddenly stops in front of a building. She looks up to see where she is, she stares at the tall building. This is where all her troubles began. She walks in the building towards the elevators. The doors open, she takes a deep breath. This is the last place she wanted to be, she released her breath and the button for the 8th floor. The elevator doors open to the floor to the offices of Brassica Agency. She walks over to the reception desk.

"May I please speak with Mr. Ledger Jonas?" She says to the woman behind the desk.

The receptionist looks up from the computer, she sneers at the pretty woman who is in front of her with disgust on her face. Pretty women are always here trying to talk to their boss. Jealousy is written all over her face when she looks at Emma.

"Do you have an appointment?" She asks with hate in her voice.

"No, I would like to talk to him about working for him, Just…" She is cut off by the woman.

"He doesn't have any work for new recruits right now." rolling her eyes after she speaks. Turning her attention back to her computer.

"If I could just meet with him." She says pleading with her.

"Look lady, even if he was here, you can't see him without an appointment. You can leave now." She says eyeing her

As soon as Emma is out of view she walks into Mr. Jonas's office. Giving him a flirtatious smile.

"Hello sir." She says with a big grin.

"Hey" He smirks because he knows what is about to happen in his office.

"I have been missing you all day." She says

"Who was the person just now?" He asks as he leans his head back in his chair. While she is unzipping his pants.
