Hurtful words

Hearing this Ethan gasped dramatically and clutched his chest with his hand as he replied, "And I've only been told this shockingly helpful realisation now?" he said, "All those years, wasted…" he continued with a solemn expression.

"Just get good, you know." She replied as she stuck her tongue out slightly at him playfully.

His only response was a bright smile as he glanced back at her before getting up off the ground as he stepped away slightly to give her some space.

As he did this a thought seemed to have just struck Ethan as his eyes widened slightly and he snapped his fingers loudly. He then exclaimed somewhat loudly, causing a few people to look over with either curious or slightly annoyed gazes, "Oh, and I didn't follow you, just so you know." He stated matter of factly.
