Chapter 009 - Graduation

'...Her stares are kind of creepy,' Wynstan thought while skinning boars and deer near his house.

For these past few days he finally knows that there is someone spying on him, because of that Wynstan got an idea to always activate partial Zephyr's armor to always know what's around him.

Well except when he is in his home, damn he doesn't want to see Zenith and Paul doing it again. Let's be honest here, He's a kid and he has a better chance to woo Zenith's and Lilia's child and frankly Wystan prefers Norn and Aisha to be born.

Zephyr's armor uses wind to make an almost hd image of what's around Wynstan inside of his mind.

For Wynstan, knowing what's around you all the time is a blessing and curse at the same time.

Blessing because you can never be caught off guard and curse because well…umm you will see some things that you don't want to see.

Also he discovered who has his underwear and he will never bring up that subject to Roxy.

Wynstan wanted a peaceful life for now and complicated relationships will make that peace less peaceful.

Then a fat kid together with an army of children ruined his peace.

"My lord, we found a demon spy!" Somar said while kneeling.

"Oh god damn it!" Wynstan said as he facepalm then continued, "She's not a spy, just let her be."

"But my lord, we already brought her here," Somar said as a group of children dragged the little elf towards Wynstan.

Thankfully Zenith and Paul are out or he will be accused of bullying.

Zenith is in her clinic as she was this village doctor and Paul is patrolling around the village, he already gave up finding the culprit that destroyed the forest but increased his patrolling hours.

Roxy is teaching Rudeus while Lilia serves Roxy and Rudeus refreshments and watches them. Since Wynstan came and invented cleaning magic the chores around the house dramatically reduced. So more free time for the maid and Zenith.

Laundry and washing dishes can be done in a matter of seconds. At first, the family was shocked since Wynstan never told them about his magic but with a long explanation about this and that he's off the hook.

"H-hello! Nice to meet you!" Sylphiette said with a face so red it almost looked like a ripe tomato.

Instead of being scared because she was taken by the kids, Sylphiette was glad and happy because all her brain contents right now is the handsome child in front of her.

'Ahh, another Roxy but this time more expressive of her feelings,' Wynstan deadpanned at her.

"And nice to meet you too," Wynstan gently smiled then turned to Somar with a neutral expression, "Did you really think that an innocent girl with no fighting power whatsoever is a spy? Really?"

"Yes my lord, We saw her watching you from afar when we were on our way to you," Somar said while kneeling like a knight.

Wynstan then pulled Sylphiette to him and made her face Somar, "Look at her," Wysntan then pulled Sylphiette cheeks.

"Fueehhh," Sylphiette voiced out but didn't stop Wynstan.

"I don't understand my lord," Somar said with dumbface.

"Isn't she cute?" Wystan said while still pulling Sylphiette soft cheeks.

"Yes, but-"

"Ahh, I see, I see, I see, She's indeed cute," The knights/Kids shakes in fear because of the cold voice that they heard..

That voice belongs to Roxy, beside her are Rudeus and Lilia. Lilia did not say anything and just went to the kitchen to make something for the kids.

"Men! Serve your lord and protect him!" Wynstan commanded as he carried Sylphiette in his arms and dashed towards the door.

The kids being as gullible as they are actually form a wall between Wystan and Roxy. They thought Roxy was short and they could take her.

Roxy gets pissed off and sends weak water balls towards the kids, defeating them instantly but it's too late now to chase Wynstan.

"Forgive me lord, I failed you," Somar said as he comically passed out.

Lilia then entered the scene carrying food and drinks and called the kids.

"Rudy! We're going on a hunt!" Roxy ordered which Rudeus knew he couldn't refuse at all.

Time Skip.

Rudeus' birthday passed and his graduation was coming soon. Similar to the canon, Roxy gave him his first wand with a bright red magic stone that amplified his magic power.

He is now 5 years old which means Wynstan is now 5 years and 3 months old.

Wynstan gifted him a necklace with an embedded green gem, "Don't take it off under no circumstances, It will protect you…little brother."

Hearing Wynstan, who Rudeus unconsciously idolized, Rudeus' eyes become foggy but before tears can come out he wipes it off with his sleeve.

Zenith squeals in joy and it's a very high pitched one.

Lilia said oh my while smiling while Paul patted both Rudeus and Wystan's head, He has very rough and heavy hands 0/10 not recommended.

Roxy just gave them a silent smile.

Back to the present.

Wynstan is riding a horse together with Rudeus while Roxy is riding her own horse. They will go to an empty plot of land.

Because a lord that can't ride a horse is a disgrace to his knights, Wynstan actually learned how to ride a horse after a few weeks.

Wynstan actually made Rudeus choose who he wanted to ride with, Rudeus instantly chose Wynstan which made him slightly surprised.

Since the kids are always visiting Wynstan at his house, Rudeus' trauma of other people disappears slowly. He knows that they are not that bad seeing how sincere they are serving Wynstan.

"Sit up straight, Stay calm and keep your fingers closed around the reins," Wynstan is teaching Rudeus how to ride a horse while they are on their way to the exam venue.

Roxy is jealous though, she wanted Wystan to teach her too since her nightly training with Wystan ended 4months ago. Too bad she already shows Wynstan that she can ride a horse.

As for Sylphiette, Wynstan teaches her how to use mana and to cast a spell, Right now she's leading the kid's as the lord's magician, Somar is the right hand of Wystan.

After a few minutes, They arrive at a large plains where the Rudeus exam will take place.

Wystan is taking care of the horses near the tree while Roxy and Rudeus are about 50 meters away from him.

Roxy then displays her Saint Rank Cumulonimbus, This time she chants so Rudeus can slowly see how the spell is forming.

After saying a long chant the clouds began to darken as the wind became stronger and rain outright pour on the ground with occasional thunder and lightning.

*Buzz Crackle!*

A lightning bolt accidentally shoots towards Wynstan and the horses. It's so fast for Rudeus and Roxy to react but Wynstan just waves his hands and the lightning disperse and turn into light particles.

It's a very beautiful scene, like a bunch of fireflies in the middle of a storm.

[Magic Disperse (Active, Saint) - Completely nullify or disperse anything made of mana by inserting your own mana and forcefully destroy it.]

One of Wynstan's magic he develops to deal with troublesome things, like curses or other harmful magics.

"Be careful guys, don't horse around too much, You can do it Rudy, I believe in you!" Wynstan said.

'No pun intended?' Rudeus asked mentaly then proceeded to mimic Roxy's magic.

The process goes as the canon, Rudeus made a bigger Cumulonimbus as he reminisces about his past and his memories, the usual shonen stuff.

Now that he's already a Water Saint and Roxy knew that to be a King Rank he needed to understand magic on his own and create his own magic.

Meanwhile, Wynstan and the horses are the only thing in this place who's not wet.
