Chapter 7 Sharon
"Well, I will like you to show her
around, she did not know anywhere
and has no friends, so please you
can take her out anytime you are
hanging out with the boys."
"Ok mom, that wouldn’t be
a problem" come, he took her
and they walk round the building.
"So Sharon what were you doing
in the states.?"
"Ok, I went for studies, but am
done anyways, I only came back
for Christmas and I was bored so
my parents took me here, I thought
you are a girl."
"Really? Hahaha, why will you think
so?" Paul ask.
"Because my parents didn’t tell me
your gender, they only said they
are taking me some were I could
meet someone that will show me
around town so I thought the
person would be a girl. But is ok,
I don’t really need a girl anyways
am cool with you."
"Ohh.. so where would you like to
go?" Paul ask.
"I don’t know, anywhere you want
to take me is fine, I won't say no."
"Do you like to hang out with boys?"
"Yes sure, I will love to". She said so
excited to go out with Paul.
"Ok, let me get my car keys".
They zoom off to meet Patrick
and James still at the club.
"Heyy.. dude, who is this? And
why are you always with chicks
this days? Are you planning on
turning gay"? Hahahahaha Patrick
and James start laughing at Paul.
"I have always known you guys to
be stupid but that is ok since you
are still my friends. But meet
Sharon…. Before Paul could finish
with the introduction Patrick and
James where all over Sharon.
"Hey… pretty angel how are you"?.
"Am fine thank you", Sharon reply
smiling at their stupidity.
"What will you like to drink"? James
ask
"Well any drink will do” Sharon
said looking at Paul who just stood
there folding his hands and looking
at James and Patrick fooling
around with Sharon.
"Ok guys if you are done fooling
around I and Sharon needs to go
somewhere."
"Where are you taking her?" Patrick
ask.
"Is none of your business" Paul
said and took Sharon away from
them.
"Don’t mind my friends ok, that is
how they are always fooling around".
"I understand" Sharon said, I have
them in my school too, so I know
how they behave".
"Thank God you know".
"So where are we going now.?"
Sharon ask.
"I don’t even know, I only wanted
to take you away from them."
"I understand".
"Ok.. I know, lets go to the movies"
Paul suggested.
"That will be a good idea."
So they went to the movies.
"What kind of movies do you like?"
Sharon ask Paul.
"Well anyone, war, romance, horror,
drama anyone.
"Hmmm, so you like them all? She
ask looking into Paul’s eyes.
"Yes, I like them all, so which one
will you like to see?" Paul ask her.
"Romance", she reply.
"Ok, romance then, let’s go inside".
"Where is Paul taking that angel
to?, we really need to be tagging along
Paul this days, where in hell is he
bringing all this girls from?"
"Are you asking me?" James reply.
"Look, we need to be following him
around, if not he will finish all the
girls before Christmas is over"
Patrick said.
"So how do you plan to do that"?
"We go with him anywhere he is
going."
"That is not going to be possible."
"Why am I even following you?
You can’t even bring one girl,"
Patrick yell at James.
"And what about you? How many
have you brought?, Paul has
brought three girls within the
space of two days, we are still
on the Christmas crus and before
the holiday will be over there will
be no girl left for us anymore."
" Well, I don’t know about you but
am going out there to get one
for myself. James said and left
Patrick.
"Where are you going?, wait for me".
"But I thought you said you don’t
want to follow me again, go to
Paul then, I doubt if he will even
have your time when there are
many beautiful chicks to talk to".
"So what are you saying, that he
will no longer talk to me."
"No, but for now is all about the
babes for him."
"Ok, don’t worry, the holiday will
soon be over let me see where
all the babes will be than".
The movie started and they all glue
their eyes to the screen, But something
seem to be missing for Paul, he
is still not feeling the moment,
is as if something he owns left
him, and he was looking for that
thing but couldn’t place a
finger on it.
"Did you see that? Sharon pointed
to Paul what just happen on the
screen.
"What? Ohh.. I didn’t see that sorry".
"Are you ok? "Sharon ask.
"Yes, am fine".
"Ok, because it seem you are
absentminded.
"Me? no, am ok."
"Did you see what that guy did
to her?"
"To who?" Paul ask
"The girl in the movie he is
cheating on her.
"Really, that is very bad."
"Yes, is bad, if a guy said he loves
me, then he shouldn’t cheat on
me, if not I will leave him almost
immediately" Sharon said.
"Yea, I think so" Paul said.
"Can I ask you a question?" Sharon
said looking into Paul’s eyes.
"Yea, go ahead".
"Will you ever cheat on your
girlfriend?"
"Cheat on my girlfriend"?
"Yes,"
"Well, it depends” Paul said not
knowing why she should ask him
that kind of question.
"So you are telling me that you
are going to cheat on your
girlfriend if the occasion present
itself."?
"That is why am saying it depends,"
Paul said not knowing that it has
started to upset Sharon.
"Why do guys always do this?"
"Do what?"
"Don’t just pretend not to know what
am saying". She said almost
yelling.
"Wow.. I thought we are talking
about movie here" Paul was surprise
at her reaction of this simple
conversation.
"Is the same thing Paul, movie or not,
in fact I want to go home", she
said angrily.
"Ok, if you say so then let’s go, Paul
was even happy that they are
going home, he didn’t even want
to be here in the first place, he
prefer been with his guys than
with a girl that he is not feeling
anything.
Paul dropped Sharon at home and
drive off.
"Heyy.. look who we have here,
how did your outing go with Paul?
Her mom ask still with Paul’s
mother.
"Fine mom, can we go home am
really tired.
Ok, dear, just a minute let me rap
things with Paul’s mom.
"Ok, I will be in the car waiting for
you. Sharon said and walk away.
Ok, dear, am coming, the mother
said and went back to her
discussion with Paul’s mom.
"I think they are getting alone
really fine, Paul's mom said.
"Yea, let’s give them more time
to know themselves more."
"Yea,"
Ok, let me go, I see you later.
Thanks for coming back with
our daughter in-law she said
and they laugh.
"Ok bye."
"Bye."
"Dear why is your face like that?
Don’t you like going out with Paul?"
Her mother ask as soon as she
enters the car.
"Is not like that, am just feeling
tried that is all."
"Ok, let me take you to the
hospital."
"No mom, is just… I want to go
home please stop talking about
hospital am ok".
"Ok, let’s go then", they drove away.
"Honey are you sure of what you
and your friend are doing?" Paul’s
father ask his wife.
"Yes, I want him to end up with a
reasonable girl not some street
girl, I have work so hard to bring
up my boy, so is only reasonable
for him to end up with a girl that has
a good background".
"I know but what about the boy?
Will he love her? You know
children of today, they only go
for what they want."
"My Paul will want what I want,
I know him" she said with so
much confidences.
"And you are so confidence about
that?" The husband ask.
"Yes, as a matter of facts they
just went out together so you
see, is working."
"Hmmm, remember what happen
between us, when my father
wants me to marry the daughter
of his business partner but I
end up with you."
"Yes I remembered, but this is different,
he likes her, I can tell you that."
"Ok, if you say so let’s just wait
and see."
"Don’t worry am on top of my
game."
"What did she mean by that? Paul
keep asking himself as he drive,
asking me if I will cheat on my
girlfriend, and she expect me
to answer that? Let her get angry
all she want, she is not my
girlfriend, he keep saying until he
thought he saw someone that
looks like Christy, wait is that not
Christy"? He pull over.
"Heyy.. Christy where are you
going?"
