“Who are you talking to? I heard you talking to someone”, her stepmom ask as she enters Christy room.

“No one mom”

“Have you done everything you are supposed to do?”

“Yes”

“Is that why you are here doing nothing? My friend you and pay roasted meat for me, and if you go looking for men again, I will sink you alive.

“Yes mom”

Christy went out to buy the meat and pray that she would not meet anyone that will delay her even one second.

“Look at her” James pointed Christy to Patrick.

“But she is not the one you are looking for”

“I know, but she can take us to her”

“No, no us but you, me I want her so you go and look for your own”

“Guy why are you so wicked?, That babe belongs to Paul, just get your own”

“Says who? Is she married to him?, anyone can get a girlfriend, it doesn’t mean you owned her.”

“Your right, but in this case Paul is our nigga, you don’t have to do that”

“Let her speak for herself, if she says no, then fine and good, but Paul and you will not tell me what to do” Patrick said.

“Well, I’ve said mine, do what ever pleases you but don’t say I didn’t tell you, leave this girl now that you’ve not gone far.”

Just then Christy walk pass them.

“Heyy.. how are you and where are you going? Patrick ask Christy.

“Heyy… what are you guys doing in our neighborhood?”

“Woww.. really? Is this your neighborhood? I think we got lost Patrick said.

Ohh.. so sorry, am really busy right now I would have shown you guys the way”

Christy rush inside hand the meat over to her mom and went to call Bridget.

“Did you show them the way?” Christy ask Bridget.

“What way? Did they tell you that they don’t know the way to their house?”

Christy receive a call from Patrick

“Hello.. is me Patrick, how are you doing?”

“Yes am fine thank you”

“What are you doing right now? Can you come out tonight? I want us to hangout”

“No I can’t”

“Why not? Is it because of Paul? He ask but Christy did say anything.

“Fine, you will be going out with me ok, Paul has nothing to do and besides he wouldn’t know you want out with me” 

“Is not about Paul, I just can’t come out” she said and turn off the phone.

Paul’s mom and Sharon’s mother where having a good chat discussing about the future of their kids. Paul’s mom promise to deliver at her promise for Paul to marry Sharon.

I know you my friend, I know you wouldn’t settle for less, Sharon mom said.

You know me, I want the best for my child, since I don’t have a girl child, I will make sure my only son get married into the best family. She said.

Are you not wicked? Sharon’s mom ask.

How? my friend. Paul’s mom ask in surprise thinking if she has offended in her words.

You have one son, and I have one daughter by you are the one going to end up with both, is that not wickedness?

They keep chatting and laughing making plans for the future.

Paul’s mom only came back when is already dark.

“How did your meeting go?” her husband ask.

“Very well, we are working on getting them together.”

“Don’t you think you need to give him more time to get use to this plan of yours?”

He has enough time my dear husband, but he is not growing small, he will soon finished schooling, I want him to get married before he can take over the business, I want him to be responsible”

“But I know my son, he is responsible with or without a wife”

“Are you saying you don’t want him to get married?”

“That’s not what am saying, am saying give him the chance to make his own choice.”

“He is my only son, if you have given me more children I wouldn’t have been this worried”

Paul went outside for fresh air to help him forgot about Christy because he wants her so badly, there is nothing so painful to want someone so badly but you can’t have them.

Just then his phone rang, it’s Patrick

Am at home, where do you want me to be?

Stop pretending, I want to her house, Paul jump up at that statement.

I told you I like that girl, but that is not why I call, her sister told James that she wants you badly and that she doesn’t want to see James.

Patrick went to Christy house to do what? He brought out his phone to call but no, we spoke in the morning, it will look as if am stalking her.

I need to let her be and see if she truly love me. But Patrick, he is getting on my nerves.

Little man food is ready, his father called.

Ok dad am coming, Paul has already lost his appetite because of what Patrick told him.

You need to eat son, his father said knowing what Paul is going through, he himself have been in that position and he knew it was not easy to stay apart from the one you love.
