Chapter 160

“What! You’re marriage?”

“Yes I’m married but I’m getting a divorce”

 “I see” Ben said dropping his spoon, he lost his appetite. He never thought that Sharon could be married.

Is any thing the matter?” Sharon ask seeing the way he dropped the spoon.

“Oh, nothing, I was just wondering why a reasonable man will want to get a divorce, you can adopt children you know?”

“Yeah but Patrick is not the type to adopt children, he threw me out of his house and abuse me, disgracing me in front of his friends”

“You don't mean that?, so what are you going to do now?” Ben ask Sharon

“I'm pushing ahead with the divorce, I've really had a rough time with men but not anymore”

“What do you mean by that”.

“ I mean that I'm ready to remain single for the rest of my life”

“Surely you don't mean that”

“I do and I really need to finalize this divorced, you can't believe that this is my second divorce”

 “What! second divorce, what happened?”

 Sharon narrates everything that has happened to her to Ben. He couldn't help but stare at Sharon. “Surely she's a very strong woman”

They when to see her mother but Sharon couldn’t believe what her mother has turned into, she no longer look like her mother, the the grief of losing her only daughter has made her look like a mad woman.

“Mum…” Sharon Shouted waking her mother from sleep, she has turned the sitting room into a shrine, all manner of candles and red clothes, white powders and doll babies and Sharon pictures are all at the centre of the sitting room.

“My child, my daughter.. your are alive!” She ran and hug Sharon crying.

“Mum what is all this?, when do you become so dirty?”

Just then Paul’s mum walk in with food.

What? Sharon!... She throws the food away and ran to hug her.

“Oh, God thank you for bringing my daughter back to me” she hug and cry over Sharon.

When the crying has died down Sharon began to clean the house up.

“My daughter, I have try my best to make your mother stop but no, she was beyond consoling, all I do is bring her food which she refuse to eat.

They turn to look at her she is still crying.

“Mum is ok, am back now”

“And who is he” both woman ask simultaneously.

“Oh sorry, I almost forget because of the drama.” She said to Ben.

“Is ok, I understand”

“This is doctor Ben, his the one who save my life”.

Her mother got up and fell on her knees.

“Thank you my son, may God bless you and your generation”

“Mum, what are you doing? Get up” Ben rush her and take her up making her sit on the chair.

“Actually, his mother found me and brought me to his so Ben” Sharon continue.

“God will bless her” both women said.

“Have you eaten my son?” Her mother ask.

“Yes, Sharon has made food for me”

“Oh thank you, I have no food in this house for now”
