Chapter 159
Sharon asked Ben to teach her the Bible and Ben was so happy to be her pastor in the house. they talk and laugh and they study the word of God.
“Can I come to the office with you?” Sharon ask Ben.
“Sure why not? you can come and see things for yourself” he was so glad that Sharon could walk on her own. they went to the office together and both of them operated on a patient that day.
They came back so happy.
“Wow you are an excellent doctor I must say” Ben commented Sharon.
“Thank you, I also will like you to come to my office one of these “
“Sure I'm definitely coming with you, I would like to see your office.”
The day came when Sharon is to go home, Ben’s mother came to say goodbye to her
“Mum thank you for saving my life, I can never thank you enough” Sharon said.
“No way…, I didn't save your life my child, God save your life. I only brought you to my son because he's a doctor”
“Yeah, all the same thank you”
“No problem greet your people for me”
“I will” Sharon hugging the maid and the mother and then Ben drove her to town.
The police who declared Sharon missing has now declared her dead because she has been gone for a very long time.
When Sharon got home she saw a poster of her at the front of her house, she turned and look at Ben. Ben only nod his head.
“You won't blame them, you really scared them a lot”.
“Yeah I think so” Sharon took down the poster and went into her house and Ben followed her.
Getting inside, Sharon's house was so scattered with bottles of alcohol and cigarettes. She has been drinking and smoking the day before she left with her mother to see the prophet. She was so embarrassed, she didn't know what to do, she rushed to clean it up while Ben just look on without saying anything.
“When she finished cleaning she offered Ben a seat and rush to prepare something for him to eat.
While they were eating Ben was so quiet.
“Is anything the matter” Sharon ask.
“No, but I was just thinking do you smoke?.
“Yeah ,but not anymore”
“Ok…” Ben answer wondering when she stopped smoking because it seems she was smoking and drinking when she had the accident.
“Will you come with me to see my mum?”
“Sure, I would love to see your mum”
“alright thank you so much Ben”
“You're welcome, but if I may ask where you depress?, why do you have to drink so much alcohol and smoke so much cigarette?”
“Well it's not because I'm depressed, drinking and smoking is what I do. But that day; I was very depressed, that is why I took so much alcohol”
“I see, so what happened that day?”
“ I'm about getting a divorce from my husband because I couldn't give him a child”
Sharon said almost to cry, she has be holding in her tears for a long time and is not doing her any good
