Zain broke down, he had never felt this way before, he felt lost and broken he finally dragged himself and made his way home

Angel was fumming with anger at what she just witnessed now, she saw how Chris defended that maid of his, the way he even looked at her speaks volume

Chris brought Jane to his office, she sat down on the couch

"thank you sir" she said

"sir? I thought we had an agreement" Chris said

"I'm sorry I'm still not used to it yet" she apologized

"it's okay, I already have someone bring food there's no need to cook today you can do that tomorrow" he said

"you don't allow me do my work" she said

"you are so ungrateful, some people would be so happy to hear that, everyone wants less work and more money" he said pretending to be angry

"no I didn't mean it that way, I just mean that" she didn't know what to use as an excuse she was dumbfounded

"you don't have to say anything, just rest I still have some work to do" Chris said and walked back to his seat

Jane wanted to bring the issue of Zain up just she didn't know how to start, she didn't even know if she should

he just got fired because of her, she got this job because of him, why should she lose his because of her

soon the food arrived, Jack brought the food in himself

"here you go Jane the food has arrived" he said and dropped the food on the table and left the office

Jane went into the kitchen and took plates and cultlery to serve the food, she served the food and placed it on his table

"you should eat now" she said

"and you?" he asked her looking up at her

"you got me food in the morning already that's more than enough" she said

"I got this food because of you, I don't really have the intention of eating, I won't eat unless you eat with me" he said

"what?" she looked at him suprised

he only nodded his head

Jane didn't have any choice than to oblige

she picked a fork and was about to put some vegetables in her mouth when Chris spoke

"so I see spent a lot of money shopping, $1.36 million" Chris said with a serious face

Jane looked at him and fear and despair spread through her, she widened her eyes

"uhhhnn that wasn't my doing I told miss Grace but she insisted I get all those expensive clothes I can return them if you want" she explained hoping he would understand

"do you know even if you work five years you can't make that amount you just spent?" Chris said he really enjoy teasing her

"uhhnnn?" Jane exclaimed ' does that mean she has to work for him for more than five years to cover up the debt? miss Grace has really put her in serious trouble ' she thought

Jane tried to explain she even began to stammer

Chris suddenly burst out laughing, he found her to be very hilarious

"you look very hilarious just now" Chris kept laughing

Jane was a bit upset, what upset her the more was that she didn't even know why he was laughing

"don't worry about it I was just pulling your leg, money is not a problem, you don't have to worry about that, you can buy as many things as you want" Chris said and picked up his fork too

"really you are not mad at me?" Jane asked

"yes I'm not mad" he said

after they were done eating, Jane decided to bring up Zain's matter

"what is it?" Chris said after thinking about it for a while, he felt she was going to say something he didn't like

"can you please not fire Zain?" she finally said after so many hesitation

"why?" his face darkened

"well you see he's my friend" she said but she didn't know how to continue she didn't want to tell him what they had to do for her to secure a job here, she didn't want to lose her job

"do you like him" Chris asked her his voice as cold as ice, his head was spinning, he didn't like to think that another man has eyes on Jane

"no of course not he's just my friend" Jane defended

"then why are you so interested about his job? he can always find another job, besides he was harasing you, I don't understand you" he said

"no it's just that he has helped me a lot and it was thanks to him that I got this job, I don't want him to lose his job at least not because of me please let him have his job back I don't want it to be ungrateful and I don't want to owe him anything" she said
