Chapter 9: Simon is a bitch

Another loud moan pierced through my ears causing me to immediately turn around as I walked out of the house banging the door loudly in the process so that the two rabbits could be aware of my presence.

Walking in on your best friend going on at it with someone isn't a very pleasant sight, now I have such sickening event forever etched into my innocent memory. Perhaps she had already forgotten she had a roommate and that doing it in the living room wasn't a very good idea.

Seconds after I slammed the door, I heard shuffling and cussing from the other side making me aware that they had already found out about my arrival.

I turned around as the door was thrown open revealing a sweaty and panting Madison who had a huge T-shirt on. "Sorry Bri, I have a visitor"

I rolled my eyes and walked past her into the living room as my eyes immediately caught that of her "visitor" who thankfully had his pants on and was sitting on the couch with his leg crossed, remote in hand. He threw me a friendly wave and I quickly waved back with a forced smile, immediately diverting my gaze from the shirtless black haired man. Well I can't really be all cozy and friendly with someone whom I caught having sex with my best friend and let's not forget he was very naked.

I quickly breezed past him into my room desperate to get away from the brewing tension.

I walked into my room, a huge smile suddenly in place as I set my eyes on the cozy queen sized bed I had been fantasizing about throughout the day, I hurriedly took off my cloths and rushed to the bathroom to take a quick shower, after I was done I threw on my pyjamas, before I could finally throw myself into bed I heard a knock on door.

"Come in" I shouted already knowing it was Madison.

She poked her heard through the opened door as she gave me an apologetic smile.

"Sorry about that" she croaked out, as she scratched her head shyly.

I chuckled lowly seeing as Madison was a bit shy after what I saw "Don't worry Mads it totally wasn't anything"

"Come on Brianna, you shouldn't try to make me feel better after what you just saw, I should be more careful next time" she said apologetically.

Ok, ok it's fine" I breathed out and finally plopped myself on the bed with an exaggerated sigh, as I placed the duvet over my legs.

"OK...so Simon and I are out there if you need anything" she said as she walked towards the door.

"Don't worry about me" I muttered before she closed the door gently behind her.

I didn't even know who that Simon guy was, I was tempted to ask her what they were but that wasn't the right time obviously.

I sighed deeply and took out my iPhone, shamelessly on a mission to stalk hot guys on instagram before I went to bed, it's something I usually did when I was single, I mean what's better than grabbing your popcorn as you drool over hot shirtless guys with perfectly toned abs?.

I got up to go make some popcorn but sat back down when I realised Simon whom I really don't want to see is still in the house and probably still going on at it with my best friend.

I was about to type in the name of my victim for the night in the search box when my phone pinged indicating a message, I tapped on the message that popped up on the screen, immediately realising it was an unknown number, I scrunched my eyebrows in curiosity as I read the message,

Unknown number: Hey worthless Bitch.

Wha-

Ping!

Unknown number: It's been quite a while, can't wait to see you soon

My eyes were glued to the screen, too stunned to reply. Who the hell could this be? I shifted uncomfortably in my bed and read the texts all over again, finally gaining the courage to reply

Me: Who is this?

There was no reply after my message. The stranger completely ignored my text making nervousness sink deep into my bones, I shivered and sank deeper into my bed as I pulled the duvet up to my neck, I suddenly felt cold and needed more shelter.

Why can't I live a peaceful and carefree life?

I pulled out my phone and dialled Liam's number. He should be home by now.

His velvety voice filled my ears as he picked up on the second ring.

"hey sup"

"Nothing, just on my bed, I called to check up on you"

"Aw that's sweet, don't worry I'm safely at home in the comforts of my bed" he chuckled.

I chuckled and replied "oh okay nice, bye then"

"woah, so soon?, I mean it has only been seconds" he rushed out.

"Yes, the call wasn't supposed to last long anyway I just called to check up on you" I deadpanned.

"oh" He paused for a few seconds and replied in a low voice laced with a pinch of sadness "bye then"

He cut the line before I got to say bye, someone's grumpy.

I sat up quickly as a thought popped up in my head.

I could have told Liam about that person who messaged me, at least I will feel safer if I told someone about it, besides, Liam is a good enough candidate since he risked his dear job by helping me today.

Mulling over the thought for a minute or so I sighed and picked up my phone, twirling it in my hand as I contemplated whether to call or not.

Nope, I shouldn't impose my problems on him, he has already done enough for me, I shouldn't be troubling him with my endless problems, he's probably going to lose his job tomorrow and here I am thinking about how to trouble him.

I dropped my phone on the bed stand and sank deeper into my bed, sleep finally and quickly taking over my worries.

I slapped my nose in annoyance as I felt something tickle me, I groaned as I turned to face the other side of my bed desperate to get away from the funny feeling but still felt the ticklish feeling on my nose,

A giggle shot out of my throat unknowingly, my eyes immediately flattered open.

A loud scream rippled out of my throat, the sound deafening to my own ears.

It was Simon.

He was on the bed his legs at either sides of me in a straddle but he wasn't sitting on me, he stayed frozen with his eyes wide as he held a feather close to my nose.

"What the hell are you doing here" I was able to let out in a shriek after my ear damaging scream.

"I-I-I was told to wake you up" he stuttered stupidly and folded his lips in his mouth his eyes still wide open.

I shoved him off of me as the door budged open, Madison was suddenly in the room a curious expression on her face.

"What's going on here" she asked, glancing back and forth between a Simon who was groaning on the floor in pain and I.

I pointed accusingly at Simon, "He startled me in my sleep and he was straddling me with a feather to my nose for crying out loud" I cried out dramatically.

Simon shot up from the ground all signs of pain on his face vanishing immediately "Hey, it isn't that serious, you seemed like a heavy sleeper, after so many attempts of waking you up I resorted to the only one that could actually make you get the fuck up"

"Shut up, you still didn't have any right to get into my bed and straddle me, I don't even know you ugh!" I folded my arms and shouted back, I could feel the fumes shooting out from my ears and nose.

"Yo-"

"Shut up Simon" Madison quickly spoke up, shutting Simon up and ending our bicker in the process.

I glared hard at Simon one last time which he equally returned before we both directed our gazes towards a frustrated Madison.

"You both bicker like kids" Madison let out as she slapped her forehead.

"Why was he here" I asked.

"I was hear to wake you up for work" Simon spoke up angrily before Madison could, shutting her up immediately.

I almost fainted at the words that came out of Simon's stupid mouth.

"Ahhhh" I screamed as I immediately turned to look at my stupid alarm clock. It was a few minutes to 10am, and I was still at home, still dressed in my pyjamas.

"Someone please shoot me" I said exasperatedly.

"Gladly will, at least it is easier than waking your ass up" Simon mumbled a bit audibly which caused him glares from both Madison and I.

He winced and quickly walked past Madison and out of the room.

Immediately Simon left I begun to panic. I was late for work again, and this time there was nothing going to stop Miss Rita from firing me.

"I really hope you don't mess up next time" my stomach dropped as her words the last time I was late for work echoed in my head.

'Oh no, Madison I am completely doomed, I will be fired from a well paying job" I cried out.

I didn't realize Madison slowly walking up to me as I panicked. I didn't even feel her cold hands gently lay on my shoulders until she desperately shook me like I was some sort of Barbie doll, immediately gaining my attention.

I looked up at her as she spoke "I called in sick today and saved your ass by telling Rita that you were taking care of me"

I looked at Madison with wide eyes, she had immediately grown huge white wings and was smiling brightly down at me, I suddenly threw my hands around her in a tight hug causing her to squeak out.

I immediately released her so she could breath properly "Thank you Mads, you're a job saver"

She laughed out loud and gently patted my head "Don't worry about it sweetheart, what are friends for?" she said with a mouth splitting grin.

Madison's huge smile quickly fell as a loud voice resonated throughout the house.

Madison and I looked at each other, quickly recognizing the voice. We rushed out of my room and headed straigt for the living room.

The sight I was met with had me grinning.

It was Liam in all his black jacket glory, holding unto the front of Simon's shirt in a strong grip as they glared at each other.

"I will ask you for the last time, and this time if you don't answer me, so help me God, I will smash your head against that wall, What. Are. You. Doing. Here?!" he grounded out with locked jaws.

Simon's legs were visibly shaking as he tried to let out words.

"I-I am going out with Madison"

I feigned a gasp acting oblivious to the fact as I turned to Madison who was frozen to the ground a shocked expression etched onto her face.

She quickly shook her head and breathed in "yes, we are and what's wrong about that?" she asked with her arms folded across her chest.

I turned my gaze towards a fuming Liam who still had a strong hold on a sweating and pale Simon's shirt "You can't go out with this dude" he surprisingly said calmly.

"Why not?" Madison twisted her head to the side and asked in curiosity.

"Because he fucking slept with my girlfriend behind my back!"

The room went silent for a while as we all tried to process Liam's outburst.

"What!?" Madison bellowed after a few seconds, her face looked red in anger as she tried to control herself.

"I-I-I didn't sleep with her! She forced herself on me" Simon said, but we all could tell he was lying with how much he was sweating.

Simon's word seemed to make Liam angrier because in a flash Simon was thrown against the wall, He fell to the ground with a loud thud, groaning in pain.

"Get out" Madison screamed at a whimpering Simon.

At the scary tone of Madison's voice Simon immediately scurried out of the house as if he weren't in pain.

Well, Simon was a bitch after all.
