Chapter 14: Let’s talk

Yshianna's POV

"Good morning everyone" I immediately hid the letter inside my bag. There are actually a bunch of letters under my desk but I just covered it with a thick book

"Is everyone present?" The teacher asked and looked at us one by one. "Where is Mr. Martine—-"

"I'm sorry I'm late Miss" Anthony said. He's now wearing our school uniform with his hair messy and wet making him look hotter than usual.

Even the teacher that is basically 40 years old stared at him. "It's okay you can come in" she said like a robot following her master.

He walked straight to my side and sat. He didn't even glanced at me at least once! Wait...why do I have to care if he glances at me or not?!

I just focused on what the teacher is saying but I just couldn't get my mind off the letter that I read a few minutes ago. Who sent me that letter? I'll check the other letters later if they are saying the same thing.

"Hey" I called Anthony but he just looked outside the window like I didn't even existed. I sighed and just continued listening to the teacher. She's discussing a random math formula again. God! How I hate math!

"Class dismissed" the teacher said and went out of the classroom. Students immediately went out with their friends for lunch. I was about to go out when Anthony suddenly spoke.

"Are you really gonna eat with him?" He asked with a dark look on his face. I gulped because his presence makes me nervous, he is the only one who can do this!

"U—uh yeah" I answered. His jaw clenched, he nodded and licked his lips before walking away. He was about to walk out of the room but I called onto him.

"Anthony" he stopped in his tracks but he didn't bother to look at me

"Natalia and Lianna are with us" I said, is he angry while thinking that it would be just the two of us? Oh how stupid can I be? Stop assuming! You'll only get hurt.

He looked at me now but with a slight smile in his face that he's trying to hide. "I didn't ask" he answered which made me smile. He was about to go out when he stopped in his tracks again and faced me.

"Let's go home together after class" he said like it wasn't a big deal that the two of us are living under one roof. He walked away while I was just glued on my spot. He continued walking out of the door but with a light mood and aura which made me happy too.

Is this true? I'm not dreaming right? Can somebody please slap me! Slap me! I need to wake up! I pinched myself but regretted it right after.

So this is true—-

I then remembered the letters under my desk. I looked around if there are other students roaming outside. When there was none I immediately sat down on my chair and looked at the letters one by one with shaking hands.

'You slut! Jake is never gonna be yours!'

'You're not worth it, you trash!'

'Stay away from Jake you bitch!'

The letters were very different from the one I've read early in the morning. Those were just from the bullies and fangirls. I decided to just put everything in my bag and maybe dispose it somewhere far.

I was making sure that every letter is on my bag while walking to the door.

"Hey" I jumped in shock when I saw Jake smiling in the side of the door.

"You scared me. Stop doing that" I said while my hand is on my heart that was beating so fast because of shock.

He chuckled. "Sorry" he grabbed my bag when he got the chance and grinned.

"Give it back" I said while trying to reach my bag.

"I want to carry it" he said and started walking towards the cafeteria.

"Let's eat ice cream later?" He asked

"Don't you have work?" I asked and remembered his wound which would probably be the reason why he'll get scolded later by his manager

"It doesn't matter" he said

"But it's work" I said

"I won't be able to work with this wound anyway" he said while pointing at his wound. I nodded

"If I have time" I said remembered what Anthony said. I'm actually looking forward to go home with him.

"Hey guys!" Natalia greeted us with a big smile on her face while Lianna just waved at us and went back to chatting with someone on the phone with a big smile on her face.

"Hello again" Jake said with his bright smile that made Natalia freeze and just stared at him.

"What do you wanna eat? My treat" he asked me. He sat beside me.

"Pasta and pizza" I said and grinned.

"Alright then, I'll get it for you" he said and ruffled my hair before going to the stalls.

My eyes followed him but accidentally went to the table on the center. My eyes widened when I saw Anthony staring intently at me. Why is he here? He doesn't eat here that much, this is probably the first time I saw him eat here.

He's with the other players, they are laughing and talking so loud while he's just quiet and staring at me which made me feel conscious. When Jake passed by their table the players greeted him which he greeted back too. They were offering him a seat on their table but he shook his head and pointed at our table which made the other guys look at our table too. They smiled and patted his shoulder.

"What did they say?" I asked when he placed the tray that he's holding in the table

"They just asked if I was alright" he answered

"How about Anthony? Did he ask you?" I asked awkwardly

"He didn't even look at me, it doesn't matter anyway" he said and laughed like Anthony didn't punch him.

We started eating while Natalia is being so talkative and Lianna still chatting with someone on her phone. My eyes always wander around mainly on Anthony's side that was still staring intently at me like he was about to kill someone

"Why are you so quiet?" Jake asked when he noticed that I was so quiet

"I... I uh—- I just want to eat" I said and smiled. He chuckled and ruffled my hair. My eyes went to Anthony again that now has an annoyed expression on his face.

"Why do you look so pale?" Jake asked and looked closely on my face. I froze on my spot when I realized that he's too close! Even Natalia stopped talking and her jaw dropped

"Why are your lips pale?" He whispered but enough for me to hear. He was about to touch my lips when someone spoke

"Nic, let's talk" Anthony said making my world stop
