Chapter 26 - Arriving to Diagon Ally

Using the teleportation magic, they arrived at an empty passage within the alley, outside the view of anyone noticing them due to its emptiness.

Granted, they were both cloaked already so people wouldn't notice them even if they appeared in public. But it helped the process to be safe.

This was the second time she teleported, and while it was still dizzying, she had a much better grasp on it than before— causing her reaction to it to be relatively stable.

This seemed amusing to Albus, as while she couldn't see his face under the cloak, she could hear a soft hum of interest that escaped his mouth.

Speaking of teleportation— she couldn't help but be interested and amazed by the spell that Albus was able to use that allowed him to teleport so freely. She remembered it from the movies but experiencing it firsthand was something else.

She hoped to be able to learn it in the near future as it would be a great help in traveling around freely— that is if she hadn't figured out how to do it herself before then.

But that was enough of being lost in her thoughts— as soon as they arrived at the alleyway, she could feel the difference in the atmosphere.

They weren't lying or overreacting in the movies when they had shown Harry's first time here, it was extraordinary.

The magic in the air is so dense she could feel it seeping into her body without her even trying to absorb it.

Maybe it was because of the raw amount of wizards and witches that visited this place on a daily bases over the course of hundreds of years.

Or it was built here in the first place because of how dense in magic it was, and the wizards and witches that came here benefited from that.

She had no way of knowing currently, but it was something she was interested in finding out eventually.

Especially if naturally dense places of magic existed, it might be vital and valuable in her growth in the future. It may even aid in her becoming the best wizard this world has to offer.

And then some.

But for now, she was far more excited about exploring what the alleyway had to offer, so saving that thought for later in the back of her head, she followed along with Albus into the main walkway.

Instantly she was met with a crowd of people— wizards and witches of all kinds— a crowd so dense she would've easily gotten lost if Albus wasn't so close to her.

She was amazed by the sheer number of wizards that were there. Even though she knew that there would be a lot from the shows, there was something about experiencing it yourself that made it so much different.

Her eyes glanced to and from in amazement, looking at the people and the stores around them.

Their designs reminded her of a somewhat old English style, which made sense since this was the British wizarding community, and wizards have been around for ages.

Maybe they were influenced by the old British to make it as it is now, or maybe it was the other way around.

Her attention was then drawn to the things the stores had to offer, from magical creatures she had only read about in books to robes, clothing, and even magical trinkets she had never seen before.

She just couldn't wait to go and check them all out, so when she heard Albus speak, she was ready to go.

"Let's start with whichever one you want to visit first; since this is your first time out, let's use it to show you all the wizarding world has to offer."

She was no fool; she knew what he was trying to do. At least she had an idea of what he might be trying to do by bringing her here.

He wanted to show her all the great things the wizarding world had to offer while she was young, dazzle her, and slowly engrave some wonder about the world into her.

This way, as she grew older, she wouldn't become a Death Eater because of her parentage.

Fortunately for him, she had no intention of becoming a Death Eater to begin with— the name was lame anyways.

Unfortunately for him, however, she planned to create a whole new organization and maybe absorb some useful Death Eaters into it.

But even if she knew his intentions, it didn't change the fact that it was sort of working. She enjoyed this magical world a lot and couldn't wait to explore it more.

"Then let's start there!"

She said in an excited voice as she pointed towards a storefront filled with magical creatures of all kinds.

Albus gave her a short nod, a sign that they could go, and they began walking towards it.

During this brief walk, she understood that Albus would heavily limit the stores she could visit, and anyone remotely linked to the Dark Arts or Death Eaters wouldn't be allowed.

This meant she would have to find a way to sneak here on her own once she had the chance, especially since she was interested in checking out one shop here that would be considered a Death Eater shop.

'Magical Menagerie'

Was the name of the shop that broke her out from her thoughts and caused her to look up at the place before her.

The outside was filled with cages that displayed all manner of magical creatures, from owls to even Pixes, few cages even had birds of different colors.

But this was just the outside, and she was far more interested in the inside.

So without hesitation, she pushed open the door and entered. And instantly, she was hit by the foul smell of different animals all cramped into one space bursting forth into her nose.

It was clear they attempted to cover up the scent by the slight hint of sweetness mixed into it, but it did nothing to hinder the scent.

But that was to be expected in a place filled with creatures, so she ignored it and walked in.

I'm back :)
