Chapter 6: Spirit?

'Where the hell am I' I thought, studying my surroundings.

I was in a vast void which for some reason was different to the one I reincarnated from, I had a strange sense of awareness over everything. Things that could be here, is here and never will be here. It took me about 40 seconds until I finally came to a educated conclusion.

"So this must be my mindscape then".

"Indeed little one" a loud voice echoed.

"who are you and why are you here?" I demanded " If you are some spirit trying to take control of my mind know that this is my domain and it won't end well for you" I stated asserting my dominance into the direction I felt the presence coming from.

"By all means young one I am not here with bad intentions, in fact I have a proposition for you. It will benefit the both of us and future generations to come"

"I'm listening"

"I will even help you unlock some of your potential for your upcoming fight as a greeting gift, all I need you to do is become my successor, my avatar "

"Vaatu?"

"No my little brother is locked away just like I am yet unlike the harmonic convergence in a few decades, you can free me at anytime. When you enter the spirit world I will send one of my guides so you can do so".

"Well this sounds good and all but why would I help you when I have so many other routes to grow in power".

"Mine is better than all the others because no matter what spirit you meet, It will only be one lifetime whether it is 1000 years or 80. Now unfortunately I don't have enough time to continue our little introduction but I will still help you unlock your power."

A colossal tornado began to pick up in the void I was in as a silver entity with purple markings identical to Vaatu and Rava began to fade away.

"Wait, tell me who your are"

"I am Wuji the spirit of Nihility and Infinity the primordial spirit of Duality"

Once the entity finished speaking I was woken up by the sounds of cheering, songs and what seemed to be a lovely festive time, hell they were even people in costumes running around.

I decided to ask a soldier what it was and finally I found out. They were cheering on the champion I would face.

From further questions with different guards I learned that it was the old mans most powerful water bending officer, officer Jade with rumours saying he's a blood bender with anger issues. This really shocked me as I thought the only blood bender of this time was Hama but I guess since bending is way more potent Its obvious more special benders would pop up.

'Well either way it should be simple, one good chi block and I've won the fight. I just need to hope he doesn't used blood bending right off the bat'.

I then began preparing by practicing chi blocking forms on a bunch of tree's back in the forest but this wouldn't suffice. I planned on going further into my training but I was picked up by Orath and he took me towards a mountain at the opposite end of the base. Once we arrived he stomped his foot on the ground in a special way until 2 earth benders proceeded to open a square shaped hole that we stepped in, he then made a few hand signs which I'm guessing indicated the room he wanted. I thought this because after about a minute of the ground outside of our box shifting we arrived in a dark room filled with all types of blades and equipment.

"If this is going to be a watched fight where are the viewers?"

"They entered through a hole on the other side of the mountain, I guess you could say this is a secret entrance for trusted officers and higher ranks only".

Once he finished I decided to pick a double edged spear a long thick metal chain and a metal shield which had earth inscribing's on it. Now after a few minutes of testing it out to see if it was rigged I decided to step outside and Orath escorted into a long hall way which I'm guessing lead to the arena.

"Well Arthur, you can enter at anytime you want within the next 5 minutes just be in before then"

'Now then, my plan is to use the surroundings to my advantage and get into close quarters with him but that can only be done if I enter as soon as possible' I then decided to walk into the arena until I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder.

"But Arthur be careful and kill that bastard for me, he's the reason behind a few of my scars".

I nodded and continued to walk inside but when I made it past the entrance a metal gate came down blocking my exit.

It was a decently sized arena with the Sanguis bandit clans symbol (a blade coated in blood) imprinted into the dirty stone walls. I could also see around 700 people, some were booing most were cheering while others were stuffing their mouths with food.

After a few moments of observing I then looked up behind me above the entrance I just walked through and could see 4 important people.

The 3 generals and a decently toned black man who had brown eyes and no hair. He looked at me in a intimidating way and didn't take his eyes off me once.

'He must be the general then' I assumed

After a few minutes of waiting I was able to feel out the density of the walls and how I could propel myself by ricocheting off of them then after another 2 minutes the so called 'Blood bender' entered with 9 barrels floating behind him.

He ripped the water out of the barrels and let the water drop below him. He wore normal earth kingdom clothes and had a average fit build but the only different thing about him was the fact he looked blind. 'This will be interesting'

"As both combatants are in the ring we will have no more delay, both of you please raise your right hand to confirm your ready" The both of us raised our hands.

"BEGIN!"

A/N

In Taoist cosmology, Wuji refers to a state of non-distinction prior to the differentiation into the Yin and Yang that give birth to the ten-thousand-things .

Chinese Wuji "limitless; infinite" is a compound of the nothingness concept of wu and ji prior to yin and yang.

I haven't released many chapters because of my exams but please keep up the support power stones motivate me lol.
