Imprisoned by the CEO

“You will have to marry me and bear me a child.”  “What the fuck?!” Logic flew out of the window when Grace heard him say that. “Excuse me, what did you just say?”  Maybe, she was the one who had heard him wrong. It could have been anything except marrying him and giving him a child.  “You heard me,” Christian tsked, “but I’ll repeat it. Marry me and have my child.”  Her mouth opened and gaped at me. In her mind, she was trying to make sense about what was going on. How in the world had it come to be? What in the world could make the situation come to this?!  “No?” Grace replied, but then realized that the word was not firm enough. “No.” she said again. Christian frowned, and it seemed so innocent like he had not asked her the most unbelievable thing. “Why not? I thought you wanted to help me. You offered.”  “I offered my help, my brain, my support not my,” she hesitated, “stomach!”  What was the word for it? “Womb,” he provided.  “Yes!” She slapped her hand on the table. “You don’t get my womb!”   “I don’t?” He challenged.  “No!”  “What if helping me out means Lorelai coming out of a coma?”  Grace felt her heart drop. “What?”  Christian nodded. “What if helping me out, agreeing to what you have to do for me, means bringing your grandmother out of the, that she is in?”  ******** Grace  was one strong girl and with the people she put her trust in, that was only a small number, she knew she could conquer the world, or at least she thought to herself.  When her best friend proposed a deal that could change their lives, she made a decision that was going to be mutually beneficial to both of them.  But one renovation led to many and everything has been just a game, a manipulation from him. Everything was full of deceit, lies, planning and plotting against her. Every single thing, right down the fact that only he had been her friend…  Everything was a lie and she had been living it, willingly.  Tropes; Friends to lovers, office romance, best friends, frenemies, marriage of convenience, possessive villainous and morally gray heroes!

A date to the gala - V

<p>Miguel's eyes moved to his sister and by the looks of it, she knew what she had done. <br/>Grace just continued looking at everyone except Christian. <br/>"I don't want us to leave right now," Alejandro interrupted, "not that I am happy with what you have done. We need to do this at home and not here." <br/>Miguel finally averted his eyes and nodded to his brother before his hand went to Grace's waist again. <br/>Alejandro moved to his sister and gave her a side hug. "You and I will discuss this at home. Remember, I will be taking you there." <br/>It was the first time that she had seen the vega brothers together and she could tell that they were highly dominating. Perhaps the beginning with only and with the date when it concerned her boss. <br/>Miguel led her away, no longer being able to send the sight of his sister with his friend. <br/>"Are you alright?" She whispered to him who nodded. He wasn't fine but she felt it at that. <br/>The dinner finally began and she was relieved. She ate her fill but maintained the etiquettes at parties.<br/>"I need to use the restroom," she whispered to Miguel, "I'll be back soon." <br/>"Do you want me to come with you?" He asked and she shook her head, thanking him. She could find her way there. <br/>She stood up and left. The washroom was near and she relieved herself of the pressure. This was blissful.<br/>Moving out of the stall, she saw a woman in the corner of the bathroom but paid no attention to her as she washed her hands. <br/>She came and stood in the basin beside her and she started to wash her hands as she turned on the tap. "I hope you know this is only going to continue till he gets in your pants." She mumbled but Grace heard her. "Even if Miguel Vega does show attention to you, remember that family can be quiet caging."<br/>"Excuse me?" <br/>The woman nodded. "I was Alejandro's fiance. Trust me when I say that he still has his eyes on me and he makes that very clear." <br/>Grace watched the woman as she spoke such words. "I do not know you so why are you telling me anything?" <br/>She sighed loudly. "They are attractive and in today's world love does not have much of a standard. So, I am just warning you to watch what you are getting yourself into." She smiled and patted Grace's back. "Remember, not to let it go far." After that all Grace heard was the door being shut. <br/>Grace stared at the door before she looked down at her hands that were still washing away the foam. Rubbing them together she washed it off completely before drying them and then moved out with a heavy mind. <br/>Miguel smiled at her and the dinner was over. Grace had walked away to the washroom after the dinner. He stood up again and held her chair. She was impressed by that. <br/>Now, they all sat and the last speech was about to be made. The one where the host was appreciating them all. <br/>"I heartily thank you all for coming," Mrs Paltrow smiled at the stage as she addressed everyone, "ten years ago when I was asked to contribute towards mental awareness I was not as willing as I should have been but finding my eldest son drowned in the bathtub made me realise how much anyone of us can be suffering and how unaware we could be. The donations made today would be going against the fundraising for the bill making it necessary for everyone to be heard and be helped." She dabbed a tissue on the corner of her eye. <br/>"I once again, thank you for coming." She whispered as her eyes shone brightly with the glistening tears but the crowd did not mind that. The whole crowd erupted in applause as her husband took her away. <br/>"Ready to go home?" Miguel whispered in her ear making her shiver but she nodded. She was ready to go home. </p>
