Liam's POV:

The world around me fell silent due to the shock.

It is against the rules to try to kill the

Opponent in challenges like these.

I know I said before those challenges should either end up with one of the parties' death or surrender, but that only applies when someone challenges the head alpha.

Regular fights like this one don't have this rule and actually, it is against the rules to try and kill the opponent unless it's self-defense when the other party, in this case, me, tries to actually kill the attacker.

Which isn't the case.

Technically I am the one allowed to kill him now.

I screamed out of pain when I dodged his attack on my neck which made him bite my shoulder accidentally.

I could hear Claire gasping and asking around if she could come and stop the fight, she was actually scared for me.

Internally, I smiled because I actually had a real friend who was scared to lose me.
