Chapter 53: Split

Early the next morning, Kel and the others were gathered outside the Bannered mare about to begin preparing for their journey. Surprisingly only Yorgen seemed to be in high spirits.

"Haha finally today is the day. My journey to become the best adventurer I can be starts today!"

Lokir seemed irritated by Yorgen's energetic demeanor.

"Oie could you not shout so early in the morning, how are you even feeling this energetic"

Yorgen crosses his arms and raised his head up confidently as he replied.

"Well I have you know, I found a potion in my room that made feel extremely energetic. I think it's used by the more drowsy people in the morning, why haven't you guys drank it?"

Lokir, Kel and Hadvar gave Yorgen an odd look while Silvya was unaware of what Yorgen meant. Yorgen remained unbothered by the odd looks he was he was receiving. Lokir gave up and shook his head.

"It's to early for this...can we just get what we have to?"

Kel and the rest nodded in agreement with the idea.

"Okay, Silvya and I will get potions, you guys go get your weapons sharpened by the blacksmith near the gate. Don't buy armor or weapons not matter how good the offer is, trust me"

Lokir and the others nodded before turning and walking away from Kel and Silvya who went into Acardia's cauldron. Inside the shop, Kel and Silvya found Arcadia hard at work at her alchemy table.

"*ahem* Arcadia?"

A loud boom resounded from the table when Kel spoke. Arcadia coughed multiple times and seemed more embarrassed than she was hurt.

"*cough* *cough* Oh? Sir, excuse the mess I was just so excited to work with rare ingredients I became completely engrossed *cough* *cough*"

Kel waved the smoke that hovered near him away and the replied.

"It's fine, I'm just here for a few potions. I'm about to set off for my journey".

Arcadia recomposed herself before rushing to the back room where rummaging noises could be heard. Soon she came back with a bag of full of differently colored potions.

"Here you go, they're all clearly labeled and have instructions on them...but they aren't of a high quality...I apologize".

Arcadia seemed downcast as she said these words. Kel shook his head and took the bag.

"No worries, you just need the right ingredients and you'll improve by leaps and bounds. Anyways, We'll meet when I return. Happy experimenting."

After saying so Kel and Silvya left her shop.

"Lord Kel, do you really think she'll improve? She seems a bit..."

Kel chuckled and replied.

"Inexperienced? On the contrary, she's among the best alchemists in Skyrim...well human alchemists."

Silvya crossed her arms under her large breasts as she pondered for moment while they began walking towards the gate.

"Hmmm. You could always study alchemy yourself Lord Kel, you'd become the best".

Kel shook his head while shrugging.

"It's possible but it's not necessary, I'm here to hunt and not to settle down. I don't need to be good at everything here, when the powers I gain here are temporary...but they are exceptions..."

Silvya nodded at Kel's words and the pair proceeded walking and soon arrived by the gate where the others were waiting for them.

"Lokir, you'll carry the potions since you'll be attacking from long range. With that said, is everyone ready?"

The others nodded and soon the group set off. Once outside the gate, the group crossed the draw bridge and walked down the hill towards the stables. After passing the stables and reaching the crossroads, the group stopped.

"Well guys, this is my stop. I'm heading for Solitude. Good luck on your journey and if you ever visit, be sure to check for me in the barracks".

Hadvar broke the group and turned towards a nearby carriage. Kel, Lokir and Yorgen nodded towards him.

"Will do"

"Travel well"

"Good luck in the war"

Hadvar smiled and patted his chest.

"Haha, the next time you see me I'll be a war hero. Try not to die adventuring".

Lokir snorted at his remark and didn't reply. Hadvar chuckled once more before boarding giving the carriage driver some coins and boarding. Kel turned in a different direction and then spoke.

"We'll first have to go to riverwood then from there, travel west and we'll reach Bleak Falls Barrow. Arriving shouldn't take us that long. Let's go".

Yorgen was chirpy, Silvya was Neutral while Lokir sighed.

"I really need to buy a horse..."
