Three Months 2 (Love With This Kid)

Not caring about the public, Jade unzipped the pants and put her right hand underneath it. She gapped with her mouth wide open, forming an 'O' and her eyes bulged.

"No!! No, No!! No way!!!" Jade screamed in a male cute voice as she stood up. She was almost in tears.

"Is this kid mad?" A lady asked as she walked passed with her friends.

Onlookers, they were all looking at Jade who is now a HIM. Jade squeezed her hair in frustration and sat down. When she sat down, she noticed that her pants had dropped to the ground when she stood up and her underwear came in view to the world. Shoot!

Jade quickly pulled the pants up and closed her eyes again.

"Jade, time is precious." The old woman said and Jade scoffed. If not for courtesy and home training, she would slapped this woman.

"Why couldn't I be in a girl's body? 17,18 years? That means 5-6 years of my life has been cut short?" Jade frustratedly asked.

"All you have to do is be patient till three months which is about three days in your normal world." The old woman said retaining her composed self.

"Three days in my... Okay, I can try to do that." Jade said, sighing heavily. This was just so absurd.

"The main thing is 'Love' right?"

"What?" Jade asked. "How do you mean?" Jade fisted.

"Have you forgotten what I said?"

"You said I have to make.... Wait Ma'am. You said HIM instead of HER. You made a mistake." Jade said, clasping her hands together.

"I'm the writer, I'm not wrong. You have to make him fall in love with you. And call me Mrs Cearo instead of Ma'am."

This time around, the old lady crossed her leg on the other. Jade just noticed the chair that wasn't there before, which the woman is sitting on.

"How is a HIM supposed to make his fellow HIM fall in love with that HIM? Ah! What am I saying, this is nuts." Jade sighed and opened her eyes.

She was tempted to run away. 'wait, I can find my way back home from here right?' Jade asked herself. She sighed and closed her eyes again.

"You can't. You only go to places that are in the story. Not places that are not in the story." The old woman who was now sipping on a cup said.

"What's that?" Jade asked referring to the cup. Jade was baffled how things which weren't there would suddenly appear to be, in the blink of an eye.

"Ginseng tea. You want some?" The old lady asked and Jade nodded. "Good. The man you are on a mission to, loves ginseng as well. Go meet him to give you some." The old woman mocked and laughed.

Jade snorted.

"So, I make a man fall in love with this me, Jade and leave in three months time?" Jade asked to be sure and the old lady chuckled.

"Not you, Jade. Make him fall in love with this boy." The old lady said, smiling blissfully. Jade wished she could disfigure that stupid smile from Mrs Cearo's wrinkled face.

"And who is this boy?" Jade asked curiously.

"Just someone." The lady answered and Jade snorted. This woman was beginning to be an ass.

"Who is the man that I'm meant to make him fall in love with this kid?" Jade asked, pointing to herself. She has made up her mind to do as the woman says and leave. It's the only way. 'Making someone fall in love isn't that hard right? Especially Bromance.' she thought.

"I thought you knew him." The old woman asked.

"Well, I don't." Jade answered rudely. The woman is such a troublemaker.

"Messiah." The old woman said curtly and watched Jade's reaction.

At the mention of his name, Jade swone with butterflies. It was her crush.

"Okay."

Jade for the first time, gave a happy answer and the old woman chuckled.

"Wait a minute." Jade said, a frown drawn on her face. She pouted and asked "He is in the heavenly places and I am in Philippines." Jade said squinting her eyes. She had begun to think that this woman was a scammer.

"Well, not any longer Jade. He was reborn as a human. Didn't you read that?" The old lady asked and forgetful Jade thought for a while.

"Oh! Yes, the Baby Rio. But the baby was born from a no man and wasn't born of a woman. He was found in a cave by a mountain climber, Hans. So how is me being in Philippines related to Baby Rio who...." Jade recited but, was interrupted.

"Hans, the mountain climber is a mixed race. He is partly Filipino and partly American." The old Lady said in a serious tone. She was no longer smiling.

"Oh! I haven't gotten to that part of the book yet, sorry." Jade said bowing her head. "So, what do I do then to meet him?" Jade asked curiously. Yes! She wanted to leave but, she also wanted to see Messiah who was reborn as Baby Rio.

"Be like the water, Jade. Follow the wind like a tornado and be still like the calm of an ocean." The old lady said, avoiding Jade's gaze.

"Huh?"

"Just live like it's your normal life, you would meet him. It's only for three months anyways." The old woman said. Jade noticed that her mood swung. She was no longer cheerful as before.

"Okay. Do I get to see you each time I close my eyes?"

"No. Good Bye, Jade." The lady said and vanished. Blank! Dark! Nothingness!

Jade opened her eyes and closed it again. Nothing! Black!

"She's gone."

(BACK IN FLORIDA,

JADE'S APARTMENT)

"Jade, Jade. Can you hear me?" Nora knocked on the door. She was outside Jade's apartment and has been knocking.

"Jade if you don't open up, I'll bring down this neighborhood with my loud voice like that of a siren." Nora threatened. This trick works all the time but, it isn't.

Nora waited for two more minutes and yelled. "Jade is in love with a character in a story book!!!!"

Nora believed that there is no way this trick wouldn't work.

"Hey, mad girl. Go display somewhere else and leave the peace of this neighborhood!" A neighbor of Jade's from the flat upstairs yelled, his head out his window.

Nora quickly ran away. She'd deal with Jade another time.
