Chapter 16: First Power(3)
A wave of monsters came rushing towards them. The knights gulped and gripped their swords.
And then, their jaws dropped when they saw hundreds of fire arrows beside the green-haired man who seemed like a mage.
The hundreds of fire arrows suddenly shot towards the wave of monsters. They then looked at the golden-haired girl who was doing a martial art stance earlier with surprise.
"Hiyaaaah!"
The girl punched the monsters with her hands that are covered in golden light and the monster went flying through the air. She then kicked and punched more incoming monsters. She then laughed out loud like the monsters were cute.
She looked scary and crazy as monster blood started to cover her body.
"Hahaha! Is that all you've got?! Come here and fight me!"
"I didn't know you were this energetic."
Selena heard Spencer's voice behind her. She turned around and saw Spencer wearing the glasses he just bought earlier with Luke's money. The circular specs glistened under the sunset as Spencer was fixing the lenses. She then looked at him and asked.
"What? Do you imagine me just laying on the ground with the civilians while praying to god? I'm not weak you know."
She then continued to punch and rip some monsters to shred causing all types of blood to splatter all over her.
Spencer just sighed at the cruel sight and kept creating fire arrows. He then asked his siblings who is behind him maintaining the shield.
"Are you all okay in there?"
Lily, Josh, Michael, and Jess all answered.
"We're fine."
"This is easy."
"We should be asking you that!"
"Don't worry about us, the citizens are all safe."
The citizens inside the shield all looked at the four little backs in front of them. Even though the backs were little, they seemed to be oddly big for the civilians. Then they all gasped in admiration.
"There are so little and young but they already know how to combine their mana."
"That kind of feat is hard to do unless you practiced for years."
"Amazing, they created this strong and sturdy shield."
"They must be at least mid-level mages to do this."
"Amazing..."
The children didn't hear the praises of the people behind them and focused more on the shield. Josh, Jessa, Michael, and Lily's mind is currently a mess despite this chaotic situation.
'What happened on Ceb Mountain?'
'Brother Luke, what is he doing now?'
'Does this chaotic moment have something to do with Brother?'
'Is brother Luke alright? What about Nash?'
They all frowned at their thoughts but brushed them to the side when they saw some monsters slip through their shield. The people inside the dome screamed while looking at the monster banging on the dome. But then, a fist suddenly crushed the monster's skull.
"Sister Selena!"
Selena smiled at the kids and gave them a thumbs up while being covered in blood.
"Good job kids! Keep it up!"
The children nodded and they saw Selena rushing at the wave of monsters again.
The battle has been like that for hours and the knights were starting to feel tired. They also saw Spencer and Selena catching their breaths. Their attacks have become weaker and fatigue could be shown on their face. Selena then cursed.
"Damn it! Why won't they end?! They just keep on coming!"
Selena saw another wave of monsters rushing in. This time, there are high-grade monsters in the mix. Selena gritted her teeth and fixed her posture. She then heard Spencer's voice.
"Dammit, I'm running out of mana!"
Spencer and Selena gritted their teeth while looking at the upcoming monsters.

Luke feel water dripping on his face and slowly opened his eyes. He then saw Nash crying in front of his face. Luke then patted Nash's head and Nash flinched. His eyes opened wide while looking at Luke.
"Y-you're awake!"
Luke sat on the ground and asked.
"How much time has passed?"
"It's been four hours since you fainted!"
Luke frowned and immediately stood up. Nash looked up at him. Luke didn't look back at him and spoke in an urgent voice.
"Nash, flight magic. We need to hurry!"
'Damn it! I hope I'm not late!'
"W-what?"
"Hurry! Or else we'll be too late!"
Nash immediately cast flight magic despite being confused on Luke and Luke shot up into the air. Luke unsheathed his sword. The weight of the sword becomes lighter after becoming a man and obtaining [Herculean Strength].
Luke and the invisible Nash flew across the red sky at an unbelievable speed and immediately reached the city. He saw the ruined city gates and frowned. The buildings and walls were destroyed. He then started to speak to Nash.
"Let's go. The entire city walls are destroyed means that they are trapped at the center."
Luke's body darted in the air and reached the plaza. He saw a large dome filled with people. He saw the siblings struggling to maintain the shield with people inside and Spencer and Selena are fighting with fatigued expressions. It seems like they have been fighting for a while.
"Nash, help the children maintain the dome, looks like they can't hold on much longer."
"Got it! "
Even though he can't see Nash, he could feel Nash flew past him and headed towards the dome. Luke looked at the condition of the children. Luke gritted his teeth and shoot his body down at the battlefield. He then uses his [Herculean Strength] and gripped his sword tightly.
Slash! Boom!
Luke managed to cut three heads of the monsters at the front and landed on the ground. Dust flew up and Luke used that chance and killed the monsters that are close to him.
One, two, three... Six, eleven, sixteen, twenty monsters. Luke managed to slay twenty monsters in a short amount of time.
And before the dust completely disappears he stabbed the back of a five-meter monster. The dead monster fell with its face on the ground while Luke stepped on his back.
The dust finally disappears and Luke pulled out his sword from the monster's back. He then heard someone's voice, It's Michael.
"Big brother Luke?"
Luke looked at the tired faces of his crew members and pulled out some healing potions from his pocket. Luke then frowned from seeing the number of potion bottles left in his pocket. It is enough to heal the heavily wounded knights and his crew.
'After this, I'll need to buy more potions.'
Luke then threw the bag of potions to Selena, who was blankly staring at him. He then turned around and saw another wave of monsters coming.
Grrr!
Luke looked at the monster blankly and said something to his crew members, who are staring at his back.
"Good work, I'll take it from here."
