Chapter 125: First Revival(2)

"Ah! Haa! Haa!"

Luke immediately opened his eyes, sweat beads forming on his forehead. When all he could see was blackness, he frowned.

'Oh, right, I forgot I am in a coffin.'

"Fuck."

Luke placed his hand on the coffin's lid. The coffin was rather well sealed, and the weight of the dirt above him prevented him from opening it. Luke scowled and sighed.

"I guess I'll have to resort to force."

"How was the food, Snow? Isn't it delicious? Dad used to spoil us and take us there to eat..."

Snow gazed at Nash, who had returned to his usual sad demeanor in her shoulders. She then let out a sigh.

"Yes, the food was excellent. We should dine there regularly."

Snow's comment made Nash's face light up. They then resumed their walk toward the cemetery again to visit their dad. They go to the cemetery every day to visit their dad's grave because they miss him. If it wasn't for the group fetching them every time, they would just live at the graveyard together with their dad's tomb.

"Snow, I miss dad."

"Me too Nash, me too."

Nash lowered his head, a solemn expression on his face.

"When will he come back?"

Snow came to a halt and bit her lower lip. She then let out a sigh. She's the older sister here, so she can't exhibit weakness.

"He's gone, Nash. Let's face the reality and get move on."

As she whispered those words, Snow's lips trembled. She then began to swallow her emotions in the hopes that Nash would not notice, but he did, and tears began to well up in his eyes.

They always ended up missing him and crying, no matter what they did. It's excruciatingly hard to lose someone close to you. They even wished it was all just a dream. They'll just wake up in bed, greeted by Luke's sleeping face, after this horrible nightmare.

However, as Snow stated, this is the reality. The person is gone, their dad is gone, Luke is gone.

With mournful expressions on their faces, Snow and Nash continued heading towards Luke's tomb. They both kept their heads down but flinched as they sensed a familiar presence.

Nash and Snow trembled from head to toe. Their pupils were shaking uncontrollably from the sudden shock. Nash then spoke in a trembling tone.

"S-Snow... This presence..."

"Nash... I-is dad...?"

Nash and Snow exchanged wide-eyed, trembling glances. The two of them then began running towards Luke's tomb. As they approached Luke's grave, both of them were looking underground.

"Dad... Dad!!!!!"

"He's alive! Dad is alive!"

BOOOOOOOM!

Nash and Snow came to a halt when Luke's grave began to explode and sand began to fly in all directions, prompting Snow and Nash to close their eyes.

"Cough! Cough!"

Nash and Snow coughed and massaged their eyes as a result of the dust that was flying at them. When the dust had settled, they both opened their eyes, and what they saw made their eyes and entire bodies tremble.

Nash was just staring at it in disbelief, tears streaming down his cheeks. As he carefully pointed at the man flying on top of a damaged grave, his body trembled severely and his paws shook. Snow simply stared at this, her palms covering her mouth. She wanted to shout. Not from horror, but from surprise and delight. She couldn't believe what she was hearing...

Luke is back, he's returned.

"Ah finally! Some damn fresh air! Phew! I feel like I'll die again from suffocation down there."

Luke groaned and brushed the dust off of his black suit. When he heard a familiar cute voice calling his name, he flinched.

"DAD! DAD!"

Luke turned around with a smile on his face. Nash and Snow were then seen flying towards him at high speed. Luke simply extended his arms and waited for them to approach. Luke isn't going to lie, he badly missed these two.

When Nash and Snow came into contact with Luke, he held them tightly in his arms. He could then hear their muffled cries as they hugged him as tightly as they could. Luke simply smiled and touched their heads as he sighed. Because of their weeping, he could feel his garments growing wet.

Luke scowled; he had seen these two cry every day while he was dead, and he didn't want to see them cry again now that he was alive.

"Hey, both of you, don't cry. I don't like it when the two of you start crying."

Luke then placed his thumb on both of their cheeks and wiped away their tears. He then sighed and looked at how they look. Both of them appear exhausted and drained, and their eyes are red from sobbing nonstop for several days.

"Remember how I promised you two that I'd eat with you? Let's do it after all of this is finished."

Nash and Snow both flinched. They then remembered the events leading up to Luke's death. He vowed to lunch with them, but he hasn't been able to do so since his unexpected death. Remembering that time made the both of them upset again and Luke noticed this.

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere this time. I swear."

Nash looked at Luke with tears in his eyes. He seems like he's about to cry again.

"Promise? You swear you won't abandon us again?"

Luke remained motionless for a brief period before nodding and ruffling the hair of both children.

"I'm not going anywhere."

Nash nodded and went over to Luke for another soft hug. Luke happily took them in his embrace after Snow did the same.

Luke broke the hug and glanced at the children after a while of holding and consoling them.

"I heard there's a conflict going on right now with the Prilan kingdom. Who sent got in there?"

Luke received a frown from Nash and Snow. Luke merely sighed and glanced at them.

"Didn't I tell you already? I'm not going anywhere."

Luke was subsequently frowned by Snow.

"But war is a terrible environment in which people can die. We do not want you to approach such a location."

"Don't worry, I won't be doing much there. I was only curious as to who had been dispatched to the location."

Nash scratched his fur and exhaled deeply.

"Only Spencer and uncle Liam were dispatched. The other's we're too mentally unstable at the moment."

Luke nodded and brushed his palms across his face.

"Ah, I see. So, Liam and Spencer huh..."

Snow looked at Luke with a suspecting look.

"Do you plan to go there?"

Luke patted her on the head and nodded. She is truly as intelligent as her brother. Luke then began to wonder how he ended up with two intelligent children at the same time, both of whom can easily read his thoughts and plans as if they had known him for years.

"Yes, there was something I needed to question Liam about. It's very important."

Nash cocked his head to the side.

"Uncle Liam? Is something wrong with him?"

Luke pauses for a second before responding.

"Not at all. I just needed to double-check something."

Snow then began to inquire again, this time with concern.

"Why don't you just... Why not wait until the conflict is over? Please?"

Luke smiled while shaking his head.

"I can't do that. I do need to somehow introduce my revival to the public right?"

Nash and Snow exchanged glances before sighing. Both of them answered Luke who is looking at them with a smile.

"Fine, but we'll follow you wherever you go."

"Don't try to stop us, dad."

Luke ruffled their soft heads with a chuckle.

"Yes, yes. I'm not going to stop you."

Nash and Snow smiled sweetly and let their dad pat their head for a few moments. They missed him greatly.
