ME OR THAT!
Marissa stood there staring at her daughter who was taking the diaries upstairs in her hands but as soon as Sasha heard her mother say "What is in your hands?" Sasha immediately hid the two diaries behind her back and said "N-NOTHing mommy" looking all anxious and suspicious. Sasha then ran up the stairs rapidly. Seeing this Marissa immediately went to the living room and checked for the diaries in the wooden floorboards and to her shock, they were missing, Marissa got FURIOUS and ran upstairs to see if Sasha has them and when she entered Sasha's room, Sasha was sitting down on her bed and holding one of the diaries while the other one was laid on the bed beside her. Marissa then shouted
"SASHA EDWARD MORGAN WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING" hearing her mother's loud voice Sasha was surprised and dropped the book from her hands, then suddenly Marissa sprinted towards her and grabed her hand and said, "Are you out of your mind child?!?" and Sasha replied with "No mommy I am not but YOU ARE why won't you just let me read the diaries when you know how much I wanna know about aunt Zoe but you never let me. I wonder what's so secretive about these diaries". As soon as Sasha finished her sentence Marissa raised her hand and BAM... she slapped right across little 10-year-old Sasha's face...
As Sasha held her hand on her cheek which is now a bright red, Marissa then saw the tears forming in her precious daughter's eyes and tries to apologize to her but Sasha then looks up at her mother's face and says "WHY WON'T YOU JUST LET ME READ IT. DO YOU HATE AUNTY ZOE SO MUCH THAT YOU DON'T EVEN WANT ME TO KNOW ABOUT HER MOMMY?", Sasha replied in the angriest tone possible as she stared deeply into her mother's eyes. Marissa seeing the way Sasha reacted, she angrily snatched the diary from her hand and also the one on the bed and got so mad at Sasha and said "You better fix that tone young lady and HOW DARE YOU say that I hate my sister", Sasha just stared at her without letting out another word from her mouth. "You are becoming so obsessed with these diaries I am confiscating them" Marissa replied in a calm but kind angry tone. "NO YOU CAN'T" shouted Sasha. "ENOUGH YOUNG LADY I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD'VE COME TO THIS POINT BUT IT'S EITHER ME OR THESE; NOW CHOOSE" Marissa screamed out asking this and knowing her daughter's personality she was damn sure that she'll choose her, Sasha then muttered something to herself but Marissa couldn't hear her speaking so she said "huh? can you repeat that". "those...I CHOOSE THE DIARIES" as soon as Sasha said that Marissa's jaw dropped to the floor and she got the shock of her life. Marissa was just too stunned to speak and couldn't believe her daughter choose some goddamned diaries, then Marissa said "I am taking these with me and you are to never read these" as she walked downstairs and Sasha followed her eagerly downstairs to know what she is gonna do to those diaries but as Sasha reached downstairs she stood there in shock when she saw Marissa throwing those diaries in the fire with her own hands. "NO MOMMY WHAT AND WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS",
"This is what you get for not choosing me your own mother over these books Sasha". Sasha stood there begging and crying as her mother burned the diaries in the fire. Soon enough both the diaries burned up and all there was left was the grey dust...
Sasha fell asleep right on the floor while crying and thinking "were those books worth all the trouble? I've never seen mommy so mad about something" but the thought about her fighting with her mother and now how she might never know how her aunt lived her life made her cry her eyes out.
*A few hours*
Marissa came downstairs and saw her little girl had cried herself to sleep on the floor itself, when she saw this her heart broke into a million pieces and she lifted Sasha and took her to her be, she tucked her in while kissing her forehead and saying "I know Sasha how much you want to know about your aunt but it's for your safety love", then she also laid down beside Sasha and hugged her while crying...
