MEETING HARRY

At The Hospital,

At Annabelle's Ward.

Beatrice is fixing Annabelle's bed and folding her blankets when David, Susan and Annabelle arrive.

Beatrice: (To David) Sir David!. (To David and Susan, panicking) I swear I told her(refers to Annabelle) not to go, I even went down on my knees, but she won't listen to me.

Annabelle: (Laughs) Enough Beatrice, David isn't mad (David turns to look at Annabelle with angry eyes and Annabelle smiles apologetically).

Susan: I can't believe that bitch Stephanie actually had the guts to show up at the party. She's really got some nerve.

David: (Surprised) Stephanie?.

Annabelle: (To Susan, trying to persuade her to leave with hand gestures) Enough mother.

Susan: (To David) I should leave now. (Kisses Annabelle on the cheek) Take care honey. Make sure to have a good rest. (Turns to David) Good night son.

David: Good night.

Annabelle: Take care mother (Susan leaves and David turns to Annabelle).

David: You should rest now. (Slowly ushers her to bed) I specifically told you not to go anywhere and just rest. That's why I called Beatrice and the bodyguard to stay here with you.

Annabelle: I'm sorry.

David: What exactly are you sorry about?.

Annabelle: (Laughs) I'm sorry. I just find it really cute when you say that.

David: I'm being serious.

Annabelle: For how long are you going to scold me?. I already said I'm sorry.

David: (Suddenly remembers Stephanie) About Stephanie... (Annabelle interrupts him).

Annabelle: I know!. You don't have to explain.

David: Still, I feel it's my responsibility to not keep certain things away from you. The fact that you've already met her, makes me even more sorry because I should've told you a long time ago.

Annabelle: I understand. I just didn't want to pry or bother you about useless things. I very well know she's just a crazy person who doesn't know when to give up.

David: Sadly, part of it is my fault. (Stutters) We.... dated for 10 years. I was never intimate with her and I never proposed to her. She was quite spoilt, I must admit. She spent money on a lot of useless things and I just turned a blind eye to it. I thought of it as a way to repay her for constantly being patient with me, but it wasn't too long until she finally got the courage to leave. (Annabelle nodes as he continues) What's more important is that you're here now (they stare at each other for a while when Annabelle decides to break the silence).

Annabelle: (Stutters) I.... want to... change my clothes.

David: (Immediately understands he has to go out) Of course. I'll be waiting outside (Immediately leaves the room).

Annabelle: (Starts taking off her dress when she notices Beatrice had already fallen asleep on the couch. She covers her with one of her blankets) Good night Beatrice. (Two hours later, Annabelle wakes up and sees David sleeping next to her while sitting on a chair closer to the bed. She covers him with her blanket and goes back to sleep after staring at him for a while).

The Next Morning,

Still At The Hospital.

Doctor: (To David) We did a series of checkup on your wife and everything looks fine. The injury on her head should be able to disappear in a few days.

David: Thank you so much doctor.

Doctor: Not a problem. (To Annabelle) Mrs Jones, you are free to leave the hospital now, but you need to be extra careful.

Annabelle: (Excited) Really?. Thank you so much doc. I promise I'll be really careful.

Doctor: I'll take my leave now (walks out of the room).

Annabelle: (To Beatrice excitedly) We can go home. Hurry, I miss my bed so much (David laughs while watching her pack her things in a hurry).

At David's House,

In Annabelle's Bedroom.

Annabelle and Beatrice walk in with her things. David later joins them in the room.

Annabelle: (To Beatrice) Thank you Beatrice.

Beatrice: Lunch will be ready in a few minutes.

Annabelle: No need. I just want to sleep in for now. I'm a bit tired.

David: (To Beatrice) Just bring it up to her room when you're done. She'll eat when she wakes up.

Beatrice: Yes sir (leaves the room).

David: (To Annabelle) You should rest now. I'll be in my study if you need anything.

Annabelle: (Stutters shyly) Can you... not go?.

David: What?.

Annabelle: Stay with me until I fall asleep. Please..!

David: (Smiles) Are you scared?.

Annabelle: (Looks away so David doesn't read through her facial expression. Laughs suspiciously) No!. Me?, no way.

David: (Teasing) So, should I leave now?.

Annabelle: (Suddenly grabs his hand) No (pouting her lips).

David: (Laughs) Okay, I'll stay here with you.

Annabelle: (Walks to her bed and lies down. David helps to cover her up with a blanket) Don't go anywhere until I fall asleep.

David: I won't. (Pulls a chair and sits beside her) Just go to sleep, I'll be here.

Annabelle: Okay (gradually closes her eyes. 30 minutes later, she falls asleep. David slowly puts his chair away and walks out of her room while closing the door gently in order not to wake her up).

At Geoffrey and Jenifer's House,

In The Living Room

Therapist: (To Geoffrey, Jenifer and Diana) He (refers to Harry) won't open the door, nor does he respond when I call. Hasn't the girl he mentioned come yet?, otherwise I'm afraid your son wouldn't be able to open up to anyone, not even me.

Geoffrey: I had my daughter speak to her, but there's just one problem. She.. (stares at Jenifer who looks frail and then turns back to the therapist) seems to be married now. She won't accept our invitation either.

Therapist: I'm afraid that's the only way we can help your son, through her.

Diana: (Quickly grabs her phone from her pocket to text Annabelle which reads: "I know I said Harry was well and he moved on. I lied, I'm sorry. Please help my brother, he won't come out of his room no matter how many times we knock and plead with him. Here is our address, ***** apartment 25. You're our only hope).

At David's House(5:00Pm).

In Annabelle's Bedroom.

Annabelle suddenly wakes up. After stretching for a while, she decides to check her phone when she sees Diana's message.

Downstairs, In The Living Room.

The maid sees Annabelle arriving downstairs in a hurry, all dressed up.

Annabelle: (To Beatrice) Beatrice.

Beatrice: Yes mam.

Annabelle: I'll be gone for a few minutes. I don't want David to know that I left the house. Can you promise me that?.

Beatrice: But Mam... (Annabelle suddenly interrupts her).

Annabelle: Beatrice please. Just do me this one last favor. Okay?. I won't take long.

Beatrice: Yes Mam. (Annabelle quickly hurries outside, about to get into her car when the bodyguard stops her).

Bodyguard: Mam, I'm afraid you're not allowed to go out alone. Mr David specifically told me to follow you wherever you go.

Annabelle: No need. I can go on my own.

Bodyguard: I'm sorry Mam, but I can't let you do that. I'm under strict orders and if anything should happen to you, I may lose my job.

Annabelle: Fine!. Just take me there, I'm in a hurry.

Bodyguard: Yes Mam ( Annabelle and her bodyguard get into the car and he drives away 2 minutes later).

At Geoffrey's and Jenifer's Apartment.

Annabelle and her bodyguard arrive.

Annabelle: (To her bodyguard) Just wait for me in the car. I'll be right back.

Bodyguard: Yes Mam. (Annabelle walks to the apartment as shown on the address. She quickly takes off her ring before knocking on the door. Diana immediately opens the door).

Diana: (Surprised) Anna?. (Annabelle slowly walks in, meeting Geoffrey and Jenifer in the living room).

Jenifer: (Rushes to Annabelle and grabs her hands in appreciation) Thank you.

Geoffrey: (To Annabelle) You don't know how much this means to us. Thank you for coming.

Diana: (To Annabelle) Come with me. (Annabelle follows Diana upstairs to Harry's bedroom. Knocks) Harry!. Harry it's me Diana. I brought someone here who wants to see you.

Annabelle: (In a low tone) Harry!. It's me, Annabelle. (Harry immediately opens the door after hearing Annabelle's voice. They both stare at each other in disbelief. Annabelle immediately starts to tear up and so does Harry).
