At The Hospital

Harry, Annabelle, Diana, and her parents are all in the doctor's office.

Doctor: (To Harry's parents) After much practice, I'm glad to say your son should be able to walk now. Although his balances are not that good, he can start by using crutches. They're good for balancing his steps, until he's sure he no longer needs them (they all look happy).

Geoffrey: Thank you so much doctor. You don't know how much this means to us.

Doctor: You don't have to thank me, your son is a fighter.

Harry: (Grabs Annabelle's hand and whispers to her ear excitedly) I no longer need to use the wheel chair (Annabelle forcefully smiles ).

At Geoffrey's and Jenifer's Apartment

Diana arrives the living room with a cake filled with candles. She places it in front of Harry while everyone cheers for him.

All: (Clapping) Congratulations!.

Jenifer: Go on son, blow the candles.

Harry: (Grabs Annabelle's hand and gestures her to blow the candles with him. Annabelle turns to his parents and they agree by nodding their heads) At the count of three.

Annabelle: Okay.

Harry: one...., two...., three (they blow out the candles together and they all start clapping).

2 Hours Later

Annabelle decides to take some fresh air outside. She seems spaced out, while thinking about David.

FLASHBACK

David: I want to kiss you.

Annabelle: What?.

David: (Suddenly laughs) It's a joke.

Annabelle: (Awkwardly laughs) Oh!.

David: (After a minute of silence) What are we?, really?.

BACK TO REALITY

Harry joins her outside while using crutches for support.

Harry: Are you okay?.

Annabelle: (Suddenly snaps out of her daydream) Huh?.

Harry: You seemed lost a while ago.

Annabelle: No, I'm just a little bit tired. That's all.

Harry: A lot has been going on lately. Despite everything, you stayed with me.

Annabelle: I'm glad you're okay now.

Harry: I wouldn't have gotten better if it weren't for you. (Caresses her cheek) Don't ever leave me again. I'm lost without you.

Annabelle: (With teary eyes) Don't say that. Without me, you are capable of doing so many things even more than you can ever imagine.

Harry: Not without you.

Annabelle: (Hesitates) I may not be there always.

Harry: Are you planning on leaving?. (Suddenly starts to tear up) Where?.

Annabelle: No!. I'm not leaving. (Stutters) I just.. may be too busy at work sometimes or maybe having some family time, that's what I meant.

Harry: Then don't ever talk about leaving to me.

Annabelle: Harry... (he suddenly kisses her).

Harry: I've been wanting to do this for the longest time. To finally kiss you again.

Annabelle: I have to go.

Harry: (Notices the pale expression on her face) Are you okay?. You don't look so good.

Annabelle: I'm just really tired. I really need to go now.

Harry: Of course. You need as much rest as you can get. Text me when you get home.

Annabelle: Good night.

Harry: Good night (watches Annabelle walk to the car).

At David's House,

At The Dinning.

David is on the phone with Susan and a cake is placed on the table, not less than 3 feet away from him. It's his 30th birthday.

Voice: Happy birthday my son. I wish I could make it there on time, but unfortunately I still have a lot of work to do. I promise to buy you the most expensive gift when I get home.

David: I know you have lots of work to do and that's why you had to travel to another city. Just take care of yourself.

Voice: (Suddenly emotional) I remember when you were just a tiny little baby.

David: Don't you get tired of saying that mom?. You say the same thing every year.

Voice: That's right. That's because I'm your mother. Don't forget to send me pictures. Enjoy your day son (David suddenly ends the call. He starts worrying about Annabelle who hasn't come home since morning).

1 Hour Later

Annabelle walks in and finds David sleeping at the table.

Annabelle: (Slowly walks to David while noticing the cake on the table with a number "30" on it. She quickly realizes it's his birthday. She tries to wake him up when he suddenly grabs her hand) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.

David: I waited up for you. (Stares at his cake and turns back to Annabelle with a sad expression) It's my birthday.

Annabelle: I'm sorry.

David: You don't have to be. Besides, you had no idea. (Rises to go to bed) Good night (starts walking away when Annabelle continues).

Annabelle: Happy birthday.

David: (Stops and turns) Thank you (walks upstairs to his room).

In David's Room

David walks in and immediately heads to the bathroom. After washing his face, he grabs his phone from his pocket and starts scrolling through pictures of Harry and Annabelle. He stops at a picture of Harry kissing her and he suddenly starts to tear up.

FLASHBACK

David: (To Annabelle's bodyguard) I want you to watch her every movement. Where she goes and whoever she sees. I want to know everything. (Exhales) After what happened to her, the thought that her life might still be in danger bothers me.

BACK TO REALITY

David: (murmurs to himself while referring to Annabelle) Even after all these, I can't believe I still want an explanation.

The Next Morning,

In Annabelle's Bedroom.

Annabelle wakes up to her phone buzzing beside her.

Annabelle: (Grabs her phone and notices it's a message from Harry which reads: "I want to see you. We should go on a date today". Annabelle replies back with : "I'm sorry I can't make it today. My mom isn't feeling too well and I have to stay home and watch over her. She puts her phone away and quickly walks downstairs without washing her face nor brushing her teeth).

In The Kitchen

Annabelle quickly approaches Beatrice who seems to be cooking breakfast.

Maid: Good morning Mam. You're up early today.

Annabelle: I need your help.

Maid: Yes Mam, what do you need help with?.

Annabelle: I need you to help me cook all of David's favorite dishes. I want to redecorate as well.

Maid: Right away Mam.

Annabelle: Thank you Beatrice (after cooking and redecorating for hours, Annabelle hurries back upstairs to go take a warm shower).

2 Hours Later

David arrives home to total darkness.

David: Why is it so dark here? (the maid suddenly flips on the light switch).

Both(Annabelle and Beatrice): Surprise!!!!!..

Annabelle: (Runs to David and lures him to the table filled with all of David's favorite food) Since it's still your birth month, with the help of Beatrice, we cooked all your favorite dishes and (stutters) did... a little tiny bit of redecorating, just to make sure the house looks lively.

David: (Smiles and pulls his chair to sit) I can't believe you did all these.

Annabelle: I just wanted to make it memorable for you and it's a way of saying I'm sorry for missing out on your birthday. (Serving David) You should try all the dishes, they're really good.

David: Thank you.

Annabelle: (To Beatrice) Beatrice, come eat with us.

Maid: (Surprised) Mam?.

Annabelle: Don't just stand there, join us.

Maid: Thank you Mam (Joins them at the table and they all chatter while eating).

3 Hours Later

David walks up to Annabelle's door and tries to knock, but he feels a heavy weight on his hand.

David: (Nervously) I don't think she'd still be awake, is she?. (He turns to go to his study when Annabelle suddenly opens the door) Oh, (stutters) Uh... I just... I just wanted to say thank you for today. I'm grateful you thought of me and I'm sorry I made you feel bad.

Annabelle: No, you didn't. As your wife, it's my responsibility.

David: (Surprised) What?.

Annabelle: (Suddenly confident) I'm saying yes!. I want to kiss you too.

David: How did you... (Annabelle suddenly interrupts him).

Annabelle: How did I know you weren't joking?. I know. (Suddenly feels shy. Scratches her neck) I'm sorry, did I come out too plain? (David suddenly kisses her. She places her hands around his shoulder and they kiss passionately while gradually moving into her room, shutting the door behind them).
