I Want To Escape This Novel

"Man, I wish I could leave this place." I got trapped inside a novel called 'Return of The Failure.'  The novel was about a young man from Earth who got summoned to another world with the ability to Resurrect In The Past.  My current problem was that I became one of the major antagonists, Seth Lionheart, a member of a criminal organization.  The other problem was that I was the first villain to get slain by the protagonist because I hurt a girl he had a crush on.  "...Damn... this is troublesome."  I must leave here because the nation will hunt me down if Seth Lionheart's secret is revealed.

Transmigration

Ethan McClean woke up with a headache that was killing him.

"...Jesus. Where am I?" He asked, gripping his head. His last memory was driving to a library to return a book until a truck crashed his car, but now he was somewhere else. Ugh, he should have never made online memes about truck-kun.

He got his clothes covered in mud as well.

His eyes flew open, and he recognized he was inside some alleyway, surrounded by medieval walls.

There were some different changes to his clothes, too...Strange black trousers and a jacket that he had never worn before...and a wand?

"What's going on?!" Ethan shouted, but it felt unfamiliar to him.

'Huh? My voice sounds a bit strange.'

He stood back up and leaned half-way near a puddle to see his reflection. If it was not obvious...

"I'm another person?!"

His hair and eyes were both identical and green. He was no longer bald and old! He stroked his bangs with awe

The individual he was possessing was quite handsome and beautiful. He looked like he was still in high school, unlike a mafia gangster who smokes cigarettes and drinks sparkling water.

'My mustache! Where is my precious mustache?! My sign of manliness!'

"Aaaalright..." he said, turning around. "Let's look for some information."

He returned to the streets, walking among a crowd of people with tattered medieval clothing until he heard a shout nearby.

"Milord! I have been looking for you everywhere! We must hurry!" It was a man with round glasses in business-looking attire.

"Huh? W-what?" Ethan stuttered, surprised as the man gripped his hand tightly and made him run with him with super speed.

As if a strong current of wind blasted him in the face, his lips and cheeks stretched backward as his gums were exposed flapping the air with a wet sound.

"W-WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" screamed Ethan Mclean as droplets of saliva sprinkled from his mouth.

"Please, be patient. We'll be at our destination quickly after we break the sound barrier."

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!" Ethan could not hear the man because his cheeks stretched so much that it covered his ears.

'My knees are getting wobbly...' He held the other man's hand for life as his eyelids and mouth flapped hard, accelerating further until a sonic boom was produced.

For poor Ethan McClean, it generated intense heat and pressure that would be impossible for a human body to withstand these conditions as his muscles, bones, and organs would become so strained that he was surprised his body was doing quite fine.

'Huh? What's going on?' he thought, 'I am starting to get used to this.'

"We are now at Full Moon Academy, milord," announced the man who kidnapped him.

"W-wait... let me catch my breath..." panted Ethan as the other man looked puzzled.

"Has the alcohol gotten to you? I apologize for being too reckless then," he bowed lightly.

'Bastard. How are you fine? You have no cuts and dust in your eyes without goggles and equipment. My feet hurt so much. I am surprised that my shoes and clothes have not fallen apart. My body could have melted which would kill me!' Ethan glared at the formal-looking man who had an innocent expression on his face.

"Milord? Is something wrong?" asked the man.

"No no no! Nothing is wrong! Everything is fine!" Ethan's frown curled up into a smile.

"Is that so? You looked upset a moment before?" he questioned.

"Ah~, I just had a rough morning! You do not need to apologize," stated Ethan with the best friendly expression he could muster with his strength.

'If I could only punch you in the face,' thought Ethan.

[ Looks like someone has anger issues. ]

There was a green holographic screen that appeared in front of him.

"Huh? What the heck is this?" asked Ethan as he realized a hologram was hovering above him.

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, never mind me! I think I was hallucinating!"

Now, that I think about it a little, he looks like a butler.'

"You are acting a bit strange. Usually, you would act quite coldly to me," he replied.

'Seriously! Then why was I being so respectful!'

"Are you taking my generosity for granted?" he glared, but the butler remained unfazed.

"Of course not, Lord Seth Lionheart," responded the butler, seriously.

'What?! Seth Lionheart, the same name as that one character from 'Return Of The Failure?!' Ethan's face began sweating like crazy as he realized Seth Lionheart's description during his introduction in the novel matched his current looks.

'Shit... I think I got transmigrated... into that novel series...' Most would be rejoiced, hearing they were now inside their fictional story.

However, 'Return of the Failure' was not just some isekai, but a psychological horror series that would plague the reader with nightmares of how gory and gruesome the deaths were in each volume.

[ How rude of you to ignore me. ]

'System! Please help me right now! I wanna return home in my comfy bed scrolling through the internet on my phone!

[ Nope. Sorry, not doing that. ]

'Wait, come on! Listen, you can get some other sucker!'

[ Too bad. That's not my problem. ]

"Milord.... is something wrong. You look so frightened, it's disturbing..." said the butler.

"Ahh! It's no problem Jilk! I just cannot wait to enter the academy! Where's my school bag?"

"It's in your ring, remember? Your mother gifted it to you."

'A ring with a pocket dimension?! That's a good start!' thought Ethan, somewhat relieved.

"Anyways see ya. Gotta go," he exclaimed, walking off to the school.

'I need to find 'them' fast so I can survive in this dangerous world...'

First chapter done! I am a bit happy that I was able to finish this one.
