Chapter 48 : Defeating The Royal Palace's Army And Headed Towards The Home Of Weapons

When they exited the space tear, they were back to the dessert they were at before entering the void. Wang Qian stopped the carriage as he and Bai Lian got down. They looked around for any danger that might come their way. Thankfully, there wasn't any. Wang Qian then summoned out his status

'My current stats are now 106000, so I should be able to deal with the royal palace army now. Should I stay here and wait for them to find me? Nah, that might be a little to dangerous. I'll just continue heading towards that village that the uncle from before said.'

"Let's get back onto the carriage, we're heading towards the village the uncle said before."

"What about the royal palace's army?"

"We'll just fight them if we meet them."

They then got on the carriage as they started driving it back onto the road. There was no strong wind or any sands blowing in the air, just the hot sun in the sky letting off rays of light and heating the dessert.

The carriage continued on moving. It was then that Wang Qian heard some noises, he turned around and saw that the royal palace's army has found them and is only a few meters behind them. He quickly created a barrier around the carriage, just in case the mages on their side fire spells towards their carriage. 

"Let me try this spell." Bai Lian said. She then raised her hand as multiple mini light rays appeared above the army. Yes, this was the new spell that Bai Lian learned, [ Light Rain ]. The rays dropped down on the army who was defenseless, killing multiple of them. 

This gave Wang Qian the chance to use [ Death Possession ] on them. His mana then flowed out of his body as they possessed the ones who had died, turning them into zombies. The zombies rode their horses as they attacked their comrades, disrupting the order in the army. 

Bai Lian then condensed multiple flame arrows as she shot it towards the soldiers closest to their carriage, making the numbers of zombies increased as the army got even more disrupted. Sadly, this situation didn't continue long as the army quickly killed all the zombies before more was created. They then continued to chase after Wang Qian's carriage while the mages fired spells to take down the barrier.

"This plan isn't working any more. I should think of a new way, else we will be stuck in this stalemate where their attacks isn't effective while mine doesn't last long." he muttered

"Why don't I try using [ Water Cage ] and [ Flaming Cage ] to trap them?" Bai Lian suggested.

"That'll work. You can try it, but don't use too much mana." 

"Okay"

She then raised her hand again as multiple cages made of water and fire appeared and trapped a few soldiers in it, some of them started burning after accidentally touching the flames. This cause the number who were chasing Wang Qian and Bai Lian to decrease a lot.

'She can condense so much cages in a single try? Moreover, it's the cages of two different magic! I guess she might have been really trained a lot in the void.' he thought

Bai Lian continued to repeat using the two spells, trapping more and more soldiers. She isn't worried that they will come back and join the army again, she knows that it will take about one full day for the cages to disappear on its own, or they'll need the strength equal to or stronger than a B-rank adventurer.

Just like that, the army which seems to have a whole city of people reduced to about the amount of people 3 villages can have. It was at this time she decided to use another spell. A giant light ball condensed above the group of soldiers who were behind them, it then fell on top of them, smashing them and the horse, causing them to lose their life. 

It was then that the system sent him a message.

"Finally, I guess that means we're safe now. Let's head to the Home of Weapons now."

"Hurray, I can't wait to try new foods!" Bai Lian said

"Haha, I'll definitely buy them for you once we reach there." 

Wang Qian then contacted Tie Feng through their link.

'Tie Feng, are you there?'

'Replying to my lord, your loyal believer is here'

'I'm coming to the Home of Weapons now. I've already settled the matter about the royal palace's army, we'll be reaching there in about 5 hours'

'Understood, I'll prepare a room for my lord and Princess Bai right now.'

'No need to do so yet, you can just do it after a few more hours. Well, that's all for now. I'll contact you again after reaching the city.'

'I'll be awaiting for my lord and Princess Bai to reach.'

The conversation as Wang Qian placed his attention back onto driving the carriage. The carriage move slowly but surely towards their destination.

Currently, Wang Qian and Bai Lian are lining up in front of the city's entrance. It is evening right now as when they got out from the void it was already afternoon. Wang Qian quickly paid the entrance fee after it was his turn and drove the carriage inside the city.

What he and Bai Lian saw was lots of adventurers who were holding their weapons and walking around with it, there was also many blacksmith shops near them. Wang Qian contacted Tie Feng as he continued to drive the carriage in.

'Tie Feng, I'm inside the city already. Where should I go now?'

'Can I ask where my lord is right now?'

'I'm near the city's entrance.'

'Then can my lord see a 5 floor building nearby?'

Wang Qian raised his head as he looked around for a building that fits the description that Tie Feng gave. He quickly spotted one on his right side.

'Yup, I see it now. So I should just head there right now to look for you?'

'I'm not in there currently, that is just a place to receive guests from other cities. I'll send people over right now to pick up my lord. In the meantime, my lord can have a rest there. I've already told the staff there to give my lord and Princess Bai the best treatment possible.'

'Thanks a lot then. I'll head over to that building right now'

He then drive the carriage there as he stopped it in an alley at the side. He and Bai Lian then got off as they entered the building.

"Welcome to the Spirit Fire's guest receiving branch. May I have your name?" The staff who was at the front desk asked

"Wang Qian"

"Ah, Mr Wang Qian! Mr Tie Feng has told us about you. Let me lead you to your room to rest, I'll inform Mr Tie Feng about your arrival later."

"Thanks a lot. Let's go, Bai Lian." he said while extending his hand towards her

"Okay" she held his as they followed the staff up the stairs, reaching the highest floor before entering the third room on the left.

"Please wait here patiently, Mr Tie Feng will arrive soon"

They then entered the room before sitting on the sofa together. Bai Lian decided to take a nap as she laid down her head on Wang Qian's lap. He didn't mind as he patter her head while thinking.

'We've finally reach this city. I wonder how long can we stay before leaving again?'

Just like that, the two rest over there while waiting for Tie Feng to come and pick them up.
