The conflict

Ell glared at the older kids, "Take that back or else."

The group of people looked at him and laughed, "Or else what? Are you going to call your mummy to help you? All of us here are at least Intermediate (middle) already!"

In the crowd of people, there were either people who were also looking down on Ell, or concerned for him.

The examiner was looking at this conflict going on quite interested. "That boy down there is nothing to scoff at, I can feel ki coming from him which indicates he is at least Advanced (high). That kid could beat up all those other kids making fun of him easily."

This is because there is a big difference between Intermediate and Advanced. This is because of ki, Intermediate swordsmen cannot use ki, and are just more skilled than beginner swordsmen. However Advanced swordsmen can use ki in their attacks making them much stronger than Intermediate swordsmen.

"Examiner? Are you just going to let this group of people bully this small child?" The blue eyed woman asked.

"Tch." The examiner was annoyed. "Just let him beat them up goddamn it." The examiner cursed inwardly.

"Alright, I'm going to explain the rules for the first trial." The examiner announced to the large group of people.

"Ahem." The examiner cleared his throat. "I am the rules."

"Many people were outraged in the crowd of people, with many people shouting at the examiner.

"SILENCE!" The examiner shouted releasing his killing intent, and everyone immediately went silent. "I won't order you to do anything that I think is too unfair."

"Now I'll make you fight each other. Okay who wants to fight who first?"

As soon the examiner said these words one of the people from the group of people shouted at him, "I want to fight that little kid over there!"

The examiner was smiling behind his stoic unchanging face, "So, what will you do now kid?"

However just when the examiner was about to respond to the person, Ell shouted up to the examiner. "Excuse me, can I take all of them on at once?"

"Good! Good, little kid, nice answer!" The examiner thought in his heart.

Hearing Ell say he'll take all of them on, the group of people weren't angry, they had no shame whatsoever, in fact they actually felt a bit sorry for the kid instead.

"Examiner are you really going to let this kid go into harms way?" The woman intervened once more.

The examiner glared at her once more, "I believe this kid can do what he wants."

The woman realising convincing the examiner wasn't an option to stopping Ell, tried to convince Ell. "Kid don't do this, don't waste your life like this."

Ell just shrugged her off and told her, "I'll be fine."

One of the people from the group scoffed, "Ye don't worry about him! He'll definitely be fine!"

Ell walked up to the stone circular platform, and as he walked the crowd instinctually created a path for him to walk through. The platform was big and could house many people on it, but right now it was used for a one vs five fight.

The examiner looked at him as if trying to gauge what Ell was going to do, "I wonder what type of person he is. Most youngsters with that sort of power, always either were brought up by strong people or had a traumatic experience before. However, the latter of the two are mostly always unhesitant about killing people, emotionless or willing to go to extreme lengths to gain power whether it be artificial power, or forbidden powers. Or even all of them altogether. I hope that he is not one of those people."

This examiner thought that way because these people are mistreated by the people and frowned upon, also his teachings aren't suited for these types of people and desperately is trying to find a worthy inheritor.
