Earth Corp (6)

'I don't know if I'm understanding this properly'

Dr Briefs stared dumbfoundedly at the trio of individuals that had found themselves in his company, the words of the leader replaying in his mind.

"S-So you just took over the Red Ribbon Army?" Dr Briefs asked again.

"Commander Red, the leader of the army, relinquished authority of the army to me out of fear for his life," the leader explained.

"But you're not threatening me, right?"

"Well, you're not the leader of a hostile military organization, when you become one, I may be more persuasive," the leader re-iterated.

The Leader chuckled, trying to appear harmless which was difficult given his appearance.

"No, Capsule Corporation has already done a lot of good for Planet Earth and I salute you for your contributions," he said softly.

"However, what I desire to do, as the new Guardian of Planet Earth is to create a unified scientific organization that best serves the interests of Earth as a whole," he explained.

"It has come to my attention that the scientists in the Red Ribbon Army and Capsule Corporation are among the best on the planet and by joining hands, a new age of scientific prosperity can be achieved"

Dr Briefs inhaled, taking in a puff of his cigarette.

"So you want me to absorb the Red Ribbon Army?"

"I want Capsule Corporation and the Red Ribbon Army to merge, forming a new organization called Earth Corporation"

"And I own the company?" Dr Briefs said, slightly confused at the gift horse presented to him.

"You, Dr Gero and Dr Wheelo share ownership of the company as the peak scientists in your field, although you will take on some of the financial responsibility, I hope you can see the potential for profit," the leader added, pointing to the two gentleman sitting beside him.

Dr Briefs considered his proposition, tilting his head.

"Sounds good to me," he concluded.

"Excellent, Officer Black will be in touch, I look forward to our partnership doctor"

'This was too easy'

I floated high in the air, looking down on a massive skyscraper that was built a few kilometers away from West City near the coast of the region, a large number of robots periodically flowing in and out of the area.

In a matter of days, Capsule Corp and the Red Ribbon Army successfully merged, all the old Red Ribbon Army bases repurposed as humanitarian check points, vital resources and development goods housed inside of them.

The Headquarters of Earth Corporation was in West Country, several subsidiary bases rapidly being built in all the countries around the world. The World Government was actually very happy within our mission, quickly and pleasantly co-operating with us under the condition that Commander Red was imprisoned for his crimes.

'I'm just glad most of the workforce were able to transition'

All the generals, colonels and soldiers that didn't have the skills to work within Earth Corp were fired, given a small severance package. The actual scientists and engineers were happy to transition, pleased with the humanitarian focus and pay increase.

Generally speaking, when the news came that there would be a more pacifistic change in methods, there was no riot or uproar, instead a quiet sigh of relief.

'I'm glad things worked out financially as well'

Finances were a tight issue in the short term as the Red Ribbon Army's reserves were completely depleted in making the transition, fortunately though, various countries had already signed contracts, providing a stream of revenue that kept us afloat.

I exhaled softly, happy that everything went according to plan.

'To make things easier, I revealed my identity as the planet's Guardian'

I explained to them I wasn't truly a god but a mortal that had developed enough strength to defend the planet from forces and powers that could wipe out the Earth.

Of course they were skeptical initially but you could only be so skeptical in the face of someone who could fly, crater the earth and create massive energy orbs that explode, seeing it with your own eyes enough proof, even for scientists.

'This world is quite different'

All the civilizations on the Dragon Ball's Earth were on the same continent, one massive stretch of land housing a paltry number of countries. Although engineering had led to a technological level that surpassed my Earth's, the absence of organized religion had staggered the moral development of this version of humanity.

'Funny how they can make a drug that turns you into an animal but not agree on basic human rights'

I exhaled softly, teleporting down to the ground.

I had given the scientists of Earth Corp some of the blueprints for the robots in my spaceship, this action somewhat cementing my status as a supernatural entity.

These robots dramatically reduced the labor required to actually run Earth Corp, robots acting as the security, the cleaning staff and greatly accelerating the administrative process, more efficient and advanced robots already being constructed with the machinery we were developing.

=============

Dr Wheelo was a small pale-skinned man with deep white hair, Dr Gero of slightly greyer complexion with equally white hair, not so many wrinkles on his face yet.

Between them was Android 16, or more accurately, Gevo, Dr Gero's son who had apparently yet to die in combat.

"Is this the Android you have been working on?" I asked, confused to see 16 already.

According to both scientists, they had already stumbled upon a massive breakthrough.

"Yes sir, my son was badly injured after a mission yet the cybernetic enhancements I made to his body have allowed him to regenerate at rapid speed," Dr Gero said, visibly impressed with himself.

"The technology inside Gevo is cutting edge, it enables humans to function without worry for injury, also providing them with a potent healing factor," Dr Wheelo added.

I smiled, trying to hide my lack of excitement.

"Incredible work, this new technology will completely reshape human life"

'I guess they haven't developed the Energy Matrices yet'

Dr Wheelo and Dr Gero continued to chatter away, thanking me for trusting them and funding their projects, going on about how huge a discovery this was.

What they didn't know was that they were capable of developing an even more powerful technology and world shattering technology, one that was capable of granting humans infinite stamina.

'I guess it's unreasonable to expect so much so early'

It was honestly a miracle that both of them were willing to defect to my side, a large paycheck all that was needed to have them kissing my feet, giving them the freedom to explore science as they wished.

'Still, this should alter the course of development for Earth'

I had already informed Officer Black that he would functionally be in charge of Earth Corporation, a position he was elated to be in. I didn't have any plans of running a company, my job to get the ball rolling on an organization that would continually develop Earth.

'I also want to start exploring space'

Although this world was non-canon, there were core anchors of reality that wouldn't change. Among these was the existence of the Saiyans as well as Frieza, two threats I wanted to be proactive in dealing with.

'I'll have to wait for Kami to come back'

I then had an epiphany.
