The Ninjas of Genten Part 2

Saya and the others went to the Shinobi Tower and looked up. It was a fairly large tower up not as tall as the towers in Terreria. Nene equipped her grappling hook and smiled. Saya looked at her and began to put her grappling hook on as well.

"Alright first one to the top of the tower wins. Grappling hook only." Nene said.

"Right." Saya nodded.

"Ready...Go!" Nene yelled and shot her hook up and it hooked onto the top floor then she flew into the sky.

Saya did the same and she began flying to the sky. Nene's feet landed against the building and she began running up the building.

"E-Ehh?! I can't do that!" Saya said in complete shock. She began to try and make the grappling hook retract the string faster. She began zipping upwards to the top floor. She looked down and didn't see Nene and gave a smug laugh and reached the top floor. "I win!"

"Took you long enough." Nene said and stood up from her chair. "32 seconds."

"W-Wha-- No! There's just no way!" Saya said.

"Us ninja have the ability to use Ninjutsu. We do not have aura like everyone else, we use our Chakra. Everyone has Chakra, but only us ninja can harness the power of the Chakra." Nene said.

"Ninjutsu..? I only know Assassination Techniques." Saya said.

"Come, I'll show you to another training grounds where we practice our Shurikenjustsu." Nene jumped down the Shinobi Tower.

Saya followed and used her flames to reduce the damage of the fall by a lot. They all went to the Shurikenjustsu Training Grounds. They entered the training grounds and saw targets all around the area. Kunoichi ran to the front and smiled.

"I'm the best at Shurikenjustsu! My record is 40 Targets Per Second! All bullseye." Kunoichi smiled.

"Such perfect accuracy...there's only one woman in Arcania with that amount of accuracy." Saya said. "Can you give me a demonstration on how you do it?"

"Mhm!" Kunoichi nodded.

Saya watched and stepped back. Kunoichi smiled confidently and took out shurikens and her eyes glowed. Nene started the timer and Kunoichi dashed off and spun in a circle, releasing the shurikens from her hand. The took out the next batch and threw them, all hitting the targets in the bullseye and Nene stopped the timer.

"43 Targets in One Second. You're faster than before. Your training is really paying off." Nene smiled.

"I hold the record for most targets in one second. Even Hanzō couldn't reach 25." Kunoichi gave a smug smile towards Hanzō.

"Tch." Hanzō vanished in a puff of black smoke.

"So what's Hanzō's specialty?" Saya asked.

"Concealment." Nene said. "Hiding his chakra he can conseal is presence and also turn invisible."

Saya felt someone cover her mouth and Hanzō appeared behind Saya and looked at her. Saya froze and looked at Hanzō.

"You should never be too comfortable even when with a friend." Hanzō released her and walked back next to Nene.

"M-Message noted..." Saya nodded. "U-Uhm what about K-Kotarō?"

"Me? I'm the Master of Misdirection, Disguise, and Deception, but I am one for Ninjutsu. My main weapon is an Ashiko." Kotarō said and showing off his claw.

"I see, and you Azami?" Saya looked at her.

"Kenjutsu, Bajutsu, Kyujutsu, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Naginatajutsu." Azami said.

"She's the first ninja here to earn the title Master of Arms. Being able to use a sword, bow, lance or spear, and her bare hands." Nene said.

"I'm curious about you though Saya. From everyone in your group, you are the only one who can harness Chakra. Why don't you use it?" Azami asked.

"Well, mainly because I can't use Chakra. It's not compatible with my techniques and style. Miyuna asked me the same thing about a year ago." Saya said.

Azami thought for a bit. It is true, Saya had family in the past who were Ninja in Arcania, but she followed the Assassin bloodline more. Azami looked at Nene and Nene nodded.

"Saya, battle me!" Azami smiled.

"Huh?!" Kotome looked up.

"W-What?" Saya asked.

"I wanna learn more about you. From what I know, you are the closest ally to Stella. You're basically her retainer. I wanna find out why." Azami smiled.

"The people of Genten are no pushovers when it comes to thier fighting ability." Ashe said.

"M-Mmph." Saya nodded and looked at Azami. She knew they weren't pushovers at all, which is why she's kinda hesitant to accept the challenge. She took a deep breath. "I accept your challenge."

Azami smiled and nodded. She led them towards the training grounds where they have mock battles. Nene and the others who weren't gonna fight sat on the sidelines and watched. Azami stretched and jogged in place. Saya did also wanna try out her new technique that she acquired by training with me. Azami looked at Saya and got in her fighting stance. Saya got in hers.

"I'm ready when you are!" Azami smiled.

"Let's go!" Saya said.

Azami dashed towards Saya and went for a jumping kick. Saya dodged the kick and turned around and dodged Azami's neck few attacks. Nene was impressed with Saya's ability to dodge. Saya countered Azami's hit and palmed Azami's chest and blew her away. Azami slid back and grunted. Saya looked at her then Azami clapped her hands together and separated her hands then a sword appeared. Saya took out a dagger. They dashed to each other and clashed. Azami was doing handsigns with the hand holding the sword and lightning surrounded the blade.

"Elemental Ninjutsu..?" Saya said then jumped back.

Azami looked at Saya and smiled. Saya knew clashing with Azami with her flames was bad idea because of Elemental Fusions. Overload would destroy Saya's aura and make her take more damage with the neck lightning based attack. Saya dashed to Azami and her eyes glowed. She bellowed and Azami parried her slash then Saya lost her footing and Azami sweep kicked her off her feet then kicked her upwards. Azami got in a stance like her mother and Kotome noticed that she was planning to do the same with Saya what Aria did to her.

"Lunar Lightning Flash!" Azami said and slashed.

Saya opened her eyes and they shined white and she bellowed then her flames surged powerfully. Azami was shocked. Miyuna stood up and noticed Saya's flames changing colors. Nene's eyes lit up. Saya's voice echoed as her flames turned from red to white. She countered Azami's slash.

"Master Skill: Arcania Inferno!" Saya yelled.

A white flaming tornado surrounded Azami and Azami grunted. Saya landed and slammed the palm of her hand against the ground then a magic circle appeared under the tornado. The magic circle shined and Saya bellowed then an explosion happened releasing a powerful gust of hot wind. Everyone covered their faces. The smoke cleared and Azami was still standing, visibly tired as her dragon horn vanished and she fell on one knee. Saya turned normal and her flames vanished.

"What the hell was that..? I've never seen anything like that." Azami asked.

"It's called Awakening." Saya said. "Awakening boosts our power by tenfold and gives us mythical power. Not everyone can awaken unfortunately."

"Awakening..so...cool.." Azami passed out.

"I am quite surprised. I didn't know you all also possessed Awakenings." Nene stood up and walked on the battlefield.

"You all can awaken?" Saya asked.

"Yeah, but we call it Fury Mesou. Our abilities and special moves change within our Awakening." Nene smiled and picked up Azami. "Tomorrow, Aria and Stella will have their battle. I'll be cheering for Aria."

"And I'll be cheering for Stella." Saya smiled.

Nene walked off to put Azami in the guest bedroom so she could rest. Saya stood up and everyone came to her. Miyuna held her arms and checked her.

"That was..." Miyuna started to speak.

"A technique I learned while training with Stella. Arcania Inferno is a technique that can be used offensively and defensively." Saya said and passed out.

Miyuna held her up and looked at her surprised. Saya used all of her energy on that one attack. She tried to hide it but her body refused to stay up. They took her inside to rest. Kunoichi smiled and stood up.

"I'm so pumped to train some more!" Kunoichi said.

"I'll be here working on my meditation." Hanzō said.

"Yeah I'm going back home. I'll see you tomorrow." Kotarō stood up and walked off.

"Huh?! No one wants to train with me?" Kunoichi asked. Hanzō nor Kotarō responded to her. "Hey don't ignore me!"
