Chapter 32: The Unsealing's Consequences

Author's Note: There will be a few scene changes at the very start of the chapter so, if you don't understand, that would be okay. (At the start of an unfamiliar setting change, I will describe the place without spoiling where it is.)

<In a place where the laws of every realm that ever existed and will exist aren't valid>

There was a round table of size that could not be comprehended. Seated along the outskirts of the table were innumerable figures that all looked different, but had the same serious expression on their faces.

After a few seconds, the figure that looked to be the one who called the others to the meeting stood up. The figure cleared their voice before starting to speak.

"Thank you all for coming. And so, we are all here to address the danger to-"

"Ahh!"

"Hmm? Brother, do you have something important that you have to say?"

"No. I am sorry for interrupting. Please continue with the meeting."

The two brothers looked at each other, trying to convey their thoughts to each other without the other meeting participants knowing.

(Is it something related to what we are talking about now?)

(It is... somewhat.)

(We will continue this conversation later then.)

"So, you felt the seal that the both of us created become undone?"

"Yes, I have."

After the meeting was over, the two brothers started discussing what the younger brother felt.

"Which seal was undone?"

"It is the 1st seal on OW#10."

"I see. Who could be powerful enough do that?"

"As I said, it was very unusual."

"How?"

"The seal was undone, not destroyed. It is still very much intact but, the one inside has escaped."

"I see. Call my successor, Aurora, here."

"Her little brother as well?"

"...You might as well. Even though he is childish, he should still know about what is currently happening as he is your successor. Plus, if he knows anything about it, I believe Megiddo will have to explain himself."

<In a rift between realms, a figure wearing a hood stood>

"Ah. I see that the next world already has someone who is collecting and freeing their world's Divine Beasts. Not good. It seems that our opponents have already started their preparations."

*Growl*

"Do not worry, Master. I will make sure that your wishes will be fulfilled."

At that moment, the hooded figure stepped out of the rift and arrived in an entirely different place. The location was the outskirts of a beautiful forest. However, far from admiring the scenery, the figure turned around and started walking. While walking, the figure then started muttering to itself.

"Master is a common figure in mythology across all of the realms. There should be a few peopIe on this world that worships him. I will repay the favour by helping him achieve his goals and defeat his enemies. We just have to be patient. I swear it as the last of the Titans. Right, Tekko?"

*Beep Bloop*

*Initiating robotic noises*

(Last setting change before going back to Alex)

<Inside of a beautiful palace, there are two people standing in the throne room>

"Are you sure, son?"

"Yes. The artifacts have started to glow, albeit faintly."

"Bring me there."

The King and his son then start walking until they reach a painting of the late queen. They carefully move it aside to reveal a hidden door. The son opens it with a pass code and they walk through a dark, deserted hallway. They keep walking until they see a light and enter a dazzlingly bright room, adorned with clear and gorgeous diamonds.

"Let me see it."

The King walks over to a giant ball of crystal that is around 10 meters in diameter, right next to a pure white gemstone. This crystal ball was excavated around 400 years ago and was kept as a family heirloom by the royal family. What made it unusual was that the ball exuded lots of magical power, though most of it gets sucked into the white gemstone that was found with it.

"So, the prophecy is coming true."

"You actually believe in it, father?"

"Yes. 'A great evil will come to the land, but the 7th hero will command, an army of all the races. The hero has a great sword, forged from divine metal, adorned with 5 elemental jewels that give it power.' It is obvious that the white gemstone is to become one of jewels on that sacred sword as it is white, like the light element. Plus, if the hero is real, then our kind will cease to be discriminated against because of the acts of our forefathers."

"*Sigh* I guess that you have great faith in that supposed prophecy?"

"I do."

(Alex is back! Whoo!)

Damn it!

Why did I decide to bring this metal with me! Oh, I know why. It is because I thought that this kind of metal would be special! It was found right inside of the ruins, so it should be freaking special! Anyway, right now, I am definitely, most definitely, calmly running away from the ruins while carrying a huge lump of metal I found inside.

People would say that carrying this much would slow me down by a lot but, this kind of metal is super light. I wonder why?

(I believe that you should be more worried about getting out of here.)

Yes, you are right. That was Ignis Drakonis talking to me through our soul connection. Apparently, I was correct in assuming that we would be able to communicate telepathically. I know I am speaking so calmly in my head but, I am truly terrified right now.

(Hey, can you see, like, some lava flowing behind me or something?)

(Yes. Actually, there is lava flowing all around you.)

(What the!)

(Do not worry. I will give you directions. Make sure you follow them.)

(Um, alright!)

Wait, there is lava flowing all around me! Oh my Death God. Looks like I will have to follow these orders as well as I can or else I will actually die this time!

(Go right. Now, duck down in 3,2,1, now. Okay, jump now and start moving to the left side. Slow down a bit and turn left.)

I followed these instructions as well and as fast as I could. After what felt like forever, I finally got an order that signalled the end of my suffering.

(Good. It looks like we have finally reached the outside world. It was a very long time since I last experienced the outside.)

I survived that ordeal pretty much unscathed and unsealed the first Divine Beast I encountered. I would say that the result was well worth the price! Plus, I got some weird, oddly light metal.

Oh yeah. Saying his full name would probably be inconvenient so, maybe I should make a new name for him. It should be something that kind of describes him and should be simple.

Hmm...

Eh.

I will just name him after the word 'heat'. The language spoken in this era was different from the one I spoke in my past life. The primary language in this era is called 'Gorokian'. The primary language I spoke before was called 'Lativanian'.

The word 'heat' was pronounced 'Callis'. So, I will just call him Calido from now on then.

(Hey.)

(Yes?)

(I will give you a new, much shorter name. You want one?)

(You may call me anything you want.)

(Ok. Your new name is Calido. So you like it? It means 'heat'.)

(... Yes. It is a fitting name for a being like me.)

And so, those were the events that transpired because of the unsealing of the first Divine Beast, Ignis Drakonis, now known by the name of Calido.
