"Welcome home sir Zen" said a butler, in a respectful and polite tone
"Hello Gary" I replied before walking through the main gate
This place sure is big... There aren't even that many servants here....
I walk through the door and meet a maid that greeted me
"Hello Sir Zen, Lord Mavin requests for your presence at dinner"
"Alright, Thanks for relaying his message. Can you show me the way to my room Bella?"
"It's my honor Sir Zen." Replied the maid with an indifferent tone.
Damn, Don't tell me that she's the type to always be serious... Oh well...
I'm more concerned about The Principle Mavin Maximus asking for my presence at dinner... Usually they call me when it's dinner but It seems that this time.... The Lord especially made sure that I don't leave.... There must be something that he wants me for... or a problem about me...
I walk to the direction of my room while examining the area. Damn. This place is more luxurious than most nobles. Even the door to my room is out of Gold.
However I quickly change my expression back to normal as I remembered that he is one of the strongest human's alive and is someone worthy to be remembered in History after thousands of years.
I lay on my bed while thinking about my main body. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm currently being observed due to where I am, and the fact that my identity as an orphan with my strength is suspicious. It doesn't really matter if it only remains as a suspicion but I should be more careful on what I'm doing...
I'm glad that I gave myself space magic... It makes it a lot easier to get to my Main Body and I should have quite a few good items over there hehehe. I thought of as I laughed while having an evil grin.
I should take a look later after I'm sure that none is spying on me. I speak in my mind while getting up for dinner.
The butler that was waiting outside my room leads the way for me...
As I walk through the Magnificent dining room, I see 4 different pair of eyes staring at my direction. I see an arrogant looking girl around my age with long white hair and blue eyes. The other person is a kind looking boy that's also around my age. He had blonde hair and pure green eyes. … I then shift my eyes at the two remining people... A woman that seems to be the exact copy of what appears to be her daughter but considerably older... The other, Mavin Maximus, An older man that looks to be in his thirties. He has Blonde hair and the same green eyes as the boy, but can be seen to have a lot more ferocity and determination in them and holds a certain type of a righteous aura to him.
"Zen, Sit down and have a meal with us" Said a calming voice
I sit down after thanking him and start eating the lavish dinner.
Mhm, I nod in satisfaction after satisfying myself with the meal.
It's been a while since I've tasted food this tasty.
I then wait for them to finish while thinking of what The principle needs me for.
"Zen." said Mavin after finishing his meal with a smile.
Here It comes!... I thought of while nodding for him to continue
"How would you feel to be adopted by me?" The man said with a deep smile.
HUH?!!! I Instantly get shocked but swiftly change my expression back to normal and reply
"Sir... You are someone that is known by almost everyone and have an incredibly high standing with a good reputation, while I am merely a commoner... Besides... I still miss my mother.... I am sorry but I humbly decline."
Mavin Maximus's eyes instantly glinted as he then smiled and said
"Haha, no need to get so worked up... We all miss our parents as well, It's alright if you don't feel fine being adopted right of the bat... besides, I actually wanted you to come for something else."
"Something else?" I replied while secretly sighing if relief that he didn't mind me denying him... Becoming an adopted son of the Principle of Star Academy? sorry but I don't plan on getting on unnecessary trouble.
"Indeed, There's actually an Auction that's happening tomorrow and I'm planning to have my children to go there. Do you want to go there? I could also give you some allowance although there'd usually be a few rich nobles attending the Auction."
Hmm... It's actually not bad to go to an auction since I also need some Items and skills that I could use which I could use instead of showing my real power...
"You should go there Zen... It'll be quite a good experience for you" Said someone with a charming smile. This time it was a different voice that said it.... Lynaria the wife of Mavin, who is known for being one of the very few B rankers that could fight A rankers. Fighting against higher ranked people and still winning is usually something that only people like the protagonist can do.
"Then if you'll allow me to" I said with a widened smile.
"You should be thankful for my parents for letting you come and even giving you some money" Said Ayla in an arrogant tone.
However I didn't retort her and instead shamelessly ignored her. Who wouldn't want free money after all? hehehe.
however it seems that she was rather annoyed quite a bit looking at her expression but before she could do anything another voice was heard.
"It's only a little bit of money anyway Ayla... There's no need to get so worked up..." Said Ray the son of Mavin.
"Only a little bit of money?" Ayla changed to a weird expression and said "So he's freeloading here and using our stuff, eating our meals and taking our money, and you consider this to be only a little?"
Ray flinched a little but he didn't give up and replied "Ayla no need to be so worked up... You know that father brought him here because he saw that he had talent. This means that he could greatly assist humanity later, which would obviously be better than what we are giving him.
"Talented? He doesn't even look that strong. How would father know that he's capable? Didn't father beat him up in an instant when he tried to steal his money like a poor person?" Ayla retorted which made the surrounds become awkward however Ray was still able to reply.
"How about this then Ayla? Since you think that he's weak, how about I spar with him tomorrow morning before we leave? And if he's weak then Ill do what you say. But if he's capable then you wont argue about him staying here." Said ray showing that he trusted his father's judgment.
"I'm fine with that, I also want to spar against Ray to see how strong I am" I replied
"...I hope you wont take back your words" said Ayla while showing a mocking smile to me before leaving.
'Ehem' Mavin cleared his throat, trying to change the awkward atmosphere "Sorry about that Zen, Although she said that, She doesn't mean it... She's just a bit tired from training too much recently"
"Haha, Its true that my sister has been training a bit too much lately, She even recently broke through E -" Said Ray with a happy expression
I leave after chatting with them for a bit, since I'm quite tired and feeling the need to go to sleep.
Guess Ill have to show a bit of my power If I want to go to the Auction.
Hmm...? I feel as I have been tricked...but I cant tell where...
Well It doesn't really matter...
I guess that Ill be having a fun time tomorrow as well! I thought, with an extremely delighted expression
