Chapter 70: Lich Subjugation Part 7
"David freeze the gem, Christine use knockback arrow, Maky cut his arm that holds the gem."
I commanded them in panicked tone and they understand immediately the graveness of the situation and move according to my will.
I begun weaving my mana and cast a spell.
--Paralyze--
Status ailments usually don't work on undead creatures since they are literally dead but using pyschic magic to stop the movements is possible.
Christine immediately shot an arrow and the Lich was fall back. He couldn't avoid the arrow while being paralyze.
David as per instruction, immediately freezes the gem, cutting any external magic and incantations to pass through the gem.
Makoy also move at almost light speed and cut the Lich arm that holds the gem. Making it fall for the ground.
The Lich didn't make any sound nor it could express it's expression. He was just rolling in the ground totally helpless to us.
Ferdinand move on his own and retrieve the frozen gem.
"Is this some kind of bomb?" Ferdinand ask but suddenly I saw Makoy trying to finish the Lich.
"Maky no!"
--Light Barrier--
I immediately cast my spell to the Lich and the Lich has been protected by Light Barrier. When Makoy hear me and saw the barrier he stop and look at me.
Good thing that he stop, if he continue his sword will ignored my barrier and slice the Lich of. The Ally Immunity spell is still active to everyone so the effect of my barrier to them nonexistence.
Everyone look at my direction.
"Why did you stop him? The Lich has to die right now." David ask.
"Under normal circumstances yes he is, however this gem here is a Nihilistic Bomb that would disintegrate everything in 1 km, the Lich is planning to use it as a last resort . He's planning to die with us."
"So if our Maky here kill the Lich, the bomb will activate? Is that why you stop him" Christine asks.
"Stop calling me Maky." Makoy demanded but we ignored him.
Let's just face the fact that Maky is better than Makoy okay?
"Actually no, that's not the reason. If he died the bomb will not explode since it still need to be commanded inorder to activate and David's Ice prevented incantations to pass through the gem."I explained.
"They why did you stop him?" Ferdinand ask this time.
"The gem contains souls, which I believe is from the people who died here in Marinduque."
"Trapping souls to be used as a energy for that bomb. Let's kill him." Makoy raised his sword and prepared to activate his skill.
"Stop that Maky I'm not joking around. We still need him to return the bodies of people who died here. If I have them I can revive them."
Everyone was shocked upon hearing me.
"Are you sure?" They all ask in unison.
"Yes definitely, so stand back. I'll do the negotiations."
Makoy stepped aside and I move to where the Lich is. Currently he is healing his cut hand while inside the barrier.
I face the Lich who was inside the barrier and I close my eyes and enter world of creation. I then created a necklace that could translate his words to our language and vice versa, after that I manifested it immediately.
I then cancel the Light barrier that separate us. The Lich is looking at me without emotions, I could only tell whether he is excited or not because of the glow in his eyes but right now are his eyes are telling me that he has given up already.
I approach him without a fear and put the necklace at his neck.
"Do you understand me now?" I asks.
"What do you want?" The Lich replied and everyone aside from me was surprised but we ignored them.
"Return the dead bodies of the people you kill here, that's what I want."
I wear my serious expression and look at the Lich in the eyes.
"You are very powerful. Why don't you just create a new bodies for them. You are the god of the other side right? Surely it's possible."
My blood boils immediately upon his refusal. I place my left hand is his neck bone and glare at him.
I then activated my magic.
--Life Drain--
The Lich remaining mana has been transferred to me, the Lich bones are trembling but the light in his eyes are not wavering.
You got some Lich pride in you huh?
"I'm not a god and I'm not joking here. Creating a new body for those souls is very hassle. There is a straight method, so why did you think that I wont use it?" I asks.
"I won't give them to you. I will carry their dead bodies with me kekeke."
I tighten my grip in his bone when suddenly someone put a hand at my shoulder.
"Archie, now that he can speak, ask him why he came to our world. Ask him everything that is related to the dungeon."
David said and my mind clear up a little.
"You heard him, I want answers as well."
The Lich just look at us, it's hard to tell what his possible expression is since he doesn't have skin.
"I will not get anything from me."
The Lich replied which gave me an idea.
"Is that so? You leave me no choice but to do it."
A magic circle appeared between the two of us and golden chains pass through the magic circle, binding the Lich.
"David stay away from the Magic Circle." I said and David immediately complied.
"This... How dare you? I won't let you do this to me!"
The Lich tried to stand up but he can't, a Lich with no mana is just a talking skeleton.
"You are more useful alive than dead. If you just complied with what I demanded, then you should have experience death over this." I smiled at the Lich while looking at his micro actions that indicates despair.
I place my hand in his core and extract half of his sould from there.
"Ahhhhhhhhh.... Damn you, why are you splitting my soul in half?"
The Lich shouted in agony. Although he couldn't feel pain in his body, it is different if you harm his soul.
The reason why I extracted his soul is because, I will put it in my pocket world as assurance. I know that there is no way for him to scape my slavery spell but he is a mage that could do a lot of things like me so I want to be sure that even if he find a way to undo the spell on his own. It is still impossible for him to disobey me.
He will still live normally with only half of his soul so things should be ok for him but the moment that I destroyed his half sould, it is also the time that his control over his body will erode and the other half of his soul that is with him will dissipate on it's own as well. Basically killing him.
The Lich is still shouting in pain because of his soul being split into two. After the extraction is complete. I look to his bright white soul and put it in my pocket world.
"Stop over reacting, everything is your fault so you deserve it." I said while ignoring the Lich.
I then begun chanting my spell and the golden chains that binds him, permeate in his bones and reach his remaining soul.
The Slavery is now done. It is impossible for him to disobey my commands now, and the slavery magic that I perform is a very high level one. He cannot do anything against my very morals as well even if I didn't tell what are those. Also a telepathy net has been establish between us, no matter where we are we will still be able to talk to each other.
"Welcome my SLAVE."
I said and show him my happy expression.
"Damn..." The Lich was about to speak ill to me when suddenly he stopped and place his hand on his core.
It seems like the slave punishment has been activated to his soul and he is in pain. Its just not that obvious because he's skeletons.
"How does it feel being a slave as well? Isn't that your specialty? Slaving dead bodies? For a necromancer to be in slave what a funny thing to happen hahaha."
I sarcastically laugh at him when I suddenly heard the others footsteps coming to us.
"Did you enslave it? Is he safe now?" Ferdinand asks.
"Yes, don't worry I can dictate his life and death with me. I'll give it my command first, let's talk about it later." I replied to him and look back to the Lich who was still placing his parm in his chest area where his core is.
"My first order to my first slave. You are not allowed to kill yourself or ask others to do it for you, understand?"
It's just a precaution incase he prefers killing himself than being my slave.
"Bull..." Suddenly he stopped speaking again and was forced to kneel in the ground while holding his chest because of the pain that he felt in his soul.
"Yes, I I I will follow. I will follow." He said and I could tell that the pain that he feel has been at ease already.
"Good, now return all the bodies of the people you killed here."
He raise his hand and one of the his ring glow, and thousands of dead bodies has been piled up in front of us.
Everyone doesn't want to look at the pile of dead and Christine who was with us, couldn't handle it and vomit. Makoy is currently helping her.
Usually these people when reanimated using necromancy magic will be able to move only and performance simple commands and those who are with powers at first will to retain their powers after being reanimated. I know that some people here are awakened but I feel no powers from them. My guess is really right, he claimed all of their powers and give them to his guards to increase their powers.
I immediately transfer all the dead bodies to my pocket world and look at the Lich.
"We will get out in this dungeon later but first summon your skeletons first and ask them to retrieve anything that has value here specially your magic obelisk."
"Understood, can I also get my 4 death knights? They are my keys to magic obelisk." The Lich ask and I immediately remove my spell on them as well as remove the space lock on the place.
The Lich use his remaining mana and call upon the 4 death knights.
They were teleported in our place and the Lich immediately give orders to them and they move.
The Lich use his ring and summon all his remaining skeletons. He then ordered them and everyone complied. I can now understand the purpose of one of his ring, they serve as a place where he can store his skeletons.
"You have an army now at your disposal. Their addition to our country will made the Philippines hold 10 Special Rank fighting force." David said to me and I just realize how amazing enslaving the Lich is.
I am really glad that the idea of enslaving him pass through my mind. It would be a waste to kill him.
