Chapter 38: Cynthia Hardwood (Part 2)

Cynthia Scratched her head, but chose to ignore it since it is pretty much not her business and she pretty much thought she's teasing her since she's the shortest and youngest of the bunch.

*Sigh* "Why is everybody teasing me?" she asked herself as she was walking around, since it's her guard time(Shift).

While she was just talking to herself, she Sensed something ominous nearby, She then began investigating, Even though she's just a War Sister, she already has the feats to back her up, so noone can question her authority or her actions.

'I better warn my sisters about this, even IF it's just a false alarm it better to be cautious than to be sorry' she said as she took an orb like thing from her pocket,

"This is Cynthia Hardwood War sister of the 10th legionnaire Corvus Gustarios corp, if by any chance you stumbled upon this I happen to be on an investigation as I sensed some ominous energy nearby, Sisters... be warned no matter how trivial it is never let your guard down, War sister 001 out" she said as the orb flew away,

After that she then grabbed her trusted partner(sword) and instantly disappeared,

-Windy blossom steps-

The name of her self created technique combining [Glide], [Blitz] and [Quick step] giving her not only the ability to fly but also walk on air as if it's concrete and move as if she teleported(AKA running), giving her the advantage of speed making her a devastating enemy to both land and sky,

(it's original name was actually -Lightning Fairy's Thunderous Heaven splitting Footwork of Destruction- but was shortened because of being too damned long)

As she focused her attention towards the energy she Sensed earlier, she suddenly Felt it growing faint as if its disappearing,

"Strange... this has never occurred to me bef-" before she could say anything a fist came out of nowhere and hit her in the face completely catching her off guard, forcing her to crash on a nearby mountain creating a large crater,

*Cough*

She spat blood heavily, she wiped it off as she landed on the ground regaining her balance.

"Good thing I trained my body by constantly tempering(Beating) it nonstop everyday along with my mana", she said,

Just as the smoke disappeared she saw a figure standing right in front of her standing very still as if its observing her like a some kind of cat watching a mouse struggle before killing it,

"Tch, you're strong... you caught me off guard but don't underestimate me you bastard, I may be a low ranking war sister but don't you dare be arrogant just because you managed to hit me!" she said before instantly closing the gap between the two, giving her the chance to land a hit on her opponent not caring on what they look like nor wait till the dust fog disappear,

The figure tried to block her attack, fortunately it was blocked, but unfortunately the knockback was explosively strong causing the figure to fly and crash the other side of the mountain where Cynthia crashed earlier,

BOOM!!!!!!

The sound of an object flying at a high speed crashing at a high velocity.

"How's that huh!" she arrogantly said
