CHAPTER 18: CHATTING TIME
Lovely went to her room with her son Steven to put him down to bed. She was not going to join the gang since it will be a new day for her for the job so; she will take a rest first.
While the girls were busy cleaning up the dishes and the boys went to the living room started drinking beer. It was emotional moment during dinner but happy at the same time. They did not expect that another person joining and be a part of their growing friendship. It is rare to them to have a close tight relationship with another person to join their group. However, Lovely was exceptional.
The girls joined the boys after everything done in the kitchen. They were having conversations about their profession as the girls sat beside their spouse. Of course, nobody knows about Sophie and Henley relationship.
It has been a while since they sit down and talk without noisy in the background since they usually got meet up in the bar. Tonight, it is their chatting time moment with the gang. Still Sophie sat beside Henley while listening to them.
"So, why did you not hire Lovely as your secretary in your clinic Sophie?" Ocean asked.
"I wanted to even Henley. We both need assistants. But when she told us she is planning to go back to school then her schedule will be conflict with ours." She explained.
"Yeah, that's what I have been thinking either I hire her or Sophie will hire her. But I think she needs to finish her course in college for her own good and Steven too." Henley said with concern.
They both nodded with agreement.
Education is very important since it will give you good future. No matter where you go it helps you a lot. They both agree to help Lovely with her needs. Since being a single mother is not easy. She had no so-called family before they met her.
"Good thing she agreed about Steven, I like that little cute fellow. I am sure Henson will love him to play with him." Henna smiled widely thinking about the two plays together in her school. She has some area for Henry to with other kids who were the same age bracket with him. Her Hanna was already three years old while Henson is almost two.
Sophie was quietly thinking that her friends were already have kids. It has been almost two when Henley and she got these friends with benefits thing situation. She considered it already a thing to him. But they did not actually ask regarding their so called a thing about them.
She felt Henley's hand stroking the back of her hair. She turned her head then smirked at him. Rhianna has been observing her best friend Cream and Henley the entire evening. She did not say a single word or ask about them.
She wanted to ask Sophie later or another day just the two of them.
Through her own observation, she finds it odd. Not just friendship anymore and she knew Cream all her life. Her actions, her secrets. However, they did not have a time to talk deeper. Well, they were both very much busy with each other's commitments.
"So, when will you be starting working in Metro General Hospital?" Rhianna asked Sophie and Henley.
Sophie turned her head to look at Rhianna. Henley was still stroking the back of her hair like nothing.
"I am going to visit my clinic tomorrow to check everything. Then, I will start to open my clinic by Monday since some patients of the previous doctor endorse it to me. So, I was being told to carry on her patients. Since Lovely is not my assistant so I will still hire the previous one." Sophie said.
"Same as Sophie I will start on Monday, we still have a week to take a rest before going back to our busy schedule." Henley grinned then stood up to grabbed another can of beer on the center table. "I guess, I still have time to pestering your husbands, ladies."
"Yeah, right!" Rhianna and Henna rolled the same their eyes as they say. Both of them laughed.
