CHAPTER 16: A NEW HOME FOR LOVELY

Sophie was excited to tell Lovely her proposal. She came straight to her room as soon as she arrived in the hospital. She saw her with the nurse and the kitchen staff who brought her breakfast in the tray.

"Hi, good morning!" She greeted Lovely.

"Hello sis, you roam early today." She smiled.

"Good morning, Dr. Sophie." The two people also greeted her. She greeted back and left them alone.

She just smiled back at Lovely as she walked towards her. "Well, I got some proposition for you and the baby." Lovely got curious. "I do not want to keep it long so I want you to stay with me in the apartment. Of course, with Dr. Henley." She said. "I cannot let you do all by yourself now that you are still weak from giving birth."

"B-But why?" She asked. "Sis you have been paying this hospital bills and giving me free check-up every time I visits you." Lovely stated. "You even gave me permanent and stable job that I was totally grateful and blessed but living in the apartment is too much."

"I don't know why but I just could not think how you live alone with your son in that small room." Her face was worried as she thinks about them. "You are like a sister to me. I cannot deny the fact that I care for you both of you. Please live with us and Dr. Henley will definitely welcome you warmly. Please… for your baby. "

Lovely begun to cry with the goodness of Sophie. She has been there for her. Every time she was almost to give up. She thought of her son and because of her too. Sophie hugged her tight and brushed her hair.

"Ssshhh… don't cry please. We will always be here for you okay." Sophie calmed her.

"T-thank you sis and Dr. Henley is so lucky to have you." She said crying.

Sophie was very excited as the day comes when she will fetch Lovely and her son Steven. She already redecorated the guest room and Henley helped her. She was glad that Henley said yes to her when she asked him about Lovely.

She settled Lovely hospital bills with discount knowing that she is one of the doctors there. She quickly went to her room and she found Henley with her.

"Ready? Oh, I am so excited to be with this little guy." She brushed Steven's skin as she played the baby. Henley smiled widely seeing her.

They reached home in no time together with Henley. Lovely tears started to fall when she saw her room with her son Steven. It was bigger than her rented room and there are some baby stuffs and a crib too.

"Hey don't cry, it is bad for you." Sophie hugged her.

Lovely wiped her tears and bowed to them. "T-thank you so much for everything, Sis, Dr. Henley..."

"Just call me brother from now on since you call Sophie sister. You are welcome." He hugged her too. "Now, you put down that little guy on the crib since he was sleeping and we go to take a bite of foods on the table. Stop crying now." He said as she grabbed Sophie's waist.

"Okay, I will be there in a second." Lovely smiled as she saw them went out from her now new room.

Sophie embraced Henley so tight that she will not let go. "Bro… thank you for this and doing this for me. And even all the things you gave to Lovely too."

Henley smiled grin and whispered. "You will pay this later. It is not free you know."

Sophie quickly pushed him away. "I did not hear anything." She walked towards the dining table and she heard Henley laughed aloud.

It has been more than a year after Lovely came to live with them in their apartment. Henley and Sophie were like Steven's parents if others do not know them. They usually seen them with Steven. Most of the time, they go to supermarket or strolling at the mall while Lovely was on night shift duty.

Sophie hired a nanny lately once Lovely comes from work. She still has to gain some sleep. Lovely refused the idea but Sophie and Henley insist since they are already treating her like family.

They were sitting at the living room after eating dinner. While Henley was taking care of Steven whose now very energetic baby always loves to play with Henley. Sophie was busy with checking her emails. An email caught in her eyes. It came from the Metro General Hospital one of the best hospitals in the S City.

She clicked it to open the content. It stated there that she has the slot in the hospital as an OB-Gynecology Clinic.

"Omg!" She shouted then jumped suddenly that both Henley and Steven startled.

"Whaat!" Henley quickly got up from the couch as he tightly held Steven in his arms. "W-what's wrong?"

Sophie gave a smack kiss to his lips that Henley eyes widen by surprise. "I got the slot in Metro General Hospital in S City. We were going to go back home.

"Yes!"

Sophie already discusses it few months ago to Henley about moving back to S City. Henley agreed to her decision and so did Lovely. They both missed their friends and families back home.

Henley saw her excitedly that she got it. She has been eager to send all applications to all the hospitals in the S City since few months ago. But they still have no vacant room for her clinic.

Sophie stopped her excitement when she realized about Henley situation.

"B-bro I am sorry I got carried away." She said with pity. "I was only thinking about myself when I got the spot for my clinic. I was so selfish not thinking about you."

Henley smiled widely as she looked at her. "Why would you be? I know that you were been trying to send all hospitals in S City so we can go back home." He nodded. "I know what were you thinking but I will go with you and so is Lovely."

"B-but how about you? You will go back with me if you don't know where you will work." She asked.

He pinched her nose as he always did. "I got my job with the same hospital as you. Actually, I still did not say yes because I was waiting for you. I cannot leave you here alone with Lovely."

"Really, you are not kidding me, right?" She doubtfully asked. "When did you have the job?"

"When you told me few months ago. You want to go back in our hometown. You also told me that you would apply in Metro General Hospital." He explained. "I asked my uncle in Metro General Hospital who keeps on telling me to work in his hospital. I told him if they have slot for you in the clinic then I would work for him. He told me that there would be vacant slot for next months because one of the doctors will go to Europe for good. I know how much you have been missing your family and our friends. I miss them too even we are together in this area. It was different when the gang were here." He said and Sophie agreed.
