CHAPTER 2 MAGIC

After that I climbed the tree, I was always very good at it so after climbing the particularly tall tree after getting to higher vintage point I looked around and to my disappointment everywhere I looked only greenery it was only forest as far as I could see, I also spotted some strange beast, and I was 100 percent sure those beasts didn't exists on earth so I was surely in different world aside from strange beasts many weird plant life was also present it only solidified my conclusion that I was in different world.

So I thought it wouldn't hurt to try now, I was one of the avid isekai novel reader so decided to try it .

"Status"

I said in low tone and to my surprise information flooded my brain like it did never before.

This was all information I got from it seems this was my status, but it didn't give me any information that is useful immediately but it did give me one information that could give me some combat capabilities and that is without doubt 'mana' and with 'mana blessed' in that trait I should be fairly good at use of mana.

So I sat on tree after investigating for any threat on tree itself after making sure that there wasn't any threat on tree itself so I decided to sit on particularly wide branch I sat in Lotus position and decided to start with sensing magic power in myself I was bit of yoga nerd so I was really good at many asanas and meditation is one of main principle in yoga so I entered meditation quite easily as my attention went inside my body I felt raging power in my core though I couldn't really sense were that core was but I was able to sense mana in my body without doubt .

I was more then little surprised at how easily I sensed mana it seems sensing something you never had when you suddenly gain it.

So I decided to somehow learn to use attack magic for defence.

After sensing according to stereotypical isekai troupe I should learn how to emit the mana outside the body, so as I have already sensed the mana so I was able to find it quite easily without even going in meditation as I felt energy I willed it to come out of my body and to my surprise it actually worked as mana came out of my hand it dispersed into air surrounding me I was only able to will small part of mana to move, but now that I was also able to will mana out of my body I decided to try out spell that I think is one of most stereotypical in all novels from fantasy genera.

I willed my mana out of body and with it I imagined what form my mana will take,

It was one of basic way author introduce how to use spells. And to my surprise as mana left my body as I was imagining < Fire ball >it materialised in front of me and as I have imagined it like fire ball spell it shooted and impacted tree in front of me it and tree caught fire it seems I really have way with magic to able to learn magic that this easily.

After learning attack magic with < Fire ball >

I will need magic to defend myself so most stereotypical magic for that would be < Earth wall> so I emitted some mana outside my hand and imagined it transforming into wall of earth and to my relief I was also able perform magic that can be used to defend myself and I was gaining confidence as I prepared my self to go to water body I spotted and if it is really river I could eventually be able to get to the civilization if I follow it and I don't have to worry about water if it is fresh water body though I have to find something to eat while I am at it. Before coming down I decided that using < Fire ball > in the forest is really not a good idea, so after thinking that I decided to go with a spell with high penetration power < Earth lance > as a name suggested it was lance or more of arrow made up of earth magic, it had high penetration power but it is strictly one target spell, after practicing it some more and getting hang of creating lance in seconds I decided to check my magic reserve.

"Status"

I once again said under my breath for fill of it and information poped in my head like it happened when I tried it previously.

After waiting for my mana points to recover fully, it took half about 25 minutes for me to recover 5000 points of mana, so by calculation I recovered 200 mana points in a minute if I am not doing anything after that I come down the tree with renewed confidence.

After coming down from tree I moved towards the tree and from time to time I would climb the tree to make sure I am going in right direction to my astonishment even after walking for more then 15 kilometres I am not even breathing heavily and that wasn't even considering I have claimed atleast 10 trees as navigating in forest is harder then I thought and while I was keeping my guard up so I won't be ambushed by monsters I even avoided some monsters by going around them after spotting them from tree.

After a while of walking I heard a rustle in a thick bush to my left side I got ready with spell ready to shoot in my brief practice session I was able to control when to shoot spell for about 20 seconds after which spell will desipitate so after taking some distance from the origin of voice I stared at bush with all my focus waiting to be attacked..
