chapter 4- Him

Kenta's POV

I knelt in front of the leader with my head down low. I don't know why he called for me tonight he never seemed to seem fawn of me. Everytime step, every movement I took was monitored.

He feared me, yet he wanted to conquered me. Use me to the fullest extent he could possibly get.

"Tonight I want you to go out to the village in the west. Within the following week I want you to destroy each and every human there. If you can complete this I let you become my heir, but if you shall fail I will let you die in the most painful way possible." His stare seemed to borrow through my head as he sat above the throne.

"Yes sir." I spoke loudly as I could respectfully muster.

"Good, I will send eight of my men with you."

"Yes sir." I kept my head down as I slightly nodded my head.

"Good you may leave now." He waved me away in a disgruntled manner as he glanced to the side into the darkness.

Getting to my feet I bowed once more, turned and walked out of the den.

As the night fell and the moon rises into the sky I set out with the watchful eyes on me.

I crouched in the borderline of the woods with my ears perked up listening to the laughter coming from the house. I watched as a small human stumbled from the shed and snuck back to the house raising no alarms from the other humans.

Signaling those around me to move out I felt their presence disappeared. Stepping out from the woods I began to speak in a low murmur to those around me and slowly they came out from the shadows and snuck across the yard. When coming to the shed I slowed down and spoke once more.

"Spread out but try to keep to the shadows." I whispered in a hushed tone.

I stood right next to the shed waiting for everyone to get into position and was about to move when I heard a slight whimper. Raising my hand into the air the murmur of voices stop immediately. All of our ear perk up and listened intently to figure out where the sound came from. Looking at the shed I raised two fingers and pointed to the roof of the shed. Landing lightly on the top we pried the roof up and gazed downward.

Our fangs and claws where ready to strike but we stopped once we saw what produced the sound. There before us was a small human with hair as black as night and eyes red like blood. The human was cowering in a corner but was clearly able to move.

Turning to the magic caster I had on my team, "Didn't you tell me that no one should be able to move in the place?!"

Jumping down I landed in front of him.

"How are you doing that!? How are unaffected by my magic!"

The look of fear was replaced with confusion the fascination.

"Magic! You can use magic!" The small humans voice, though loud, wasn't that unpleasing in fact it was sweet.

"I-I can't use magic.." His eyes welled with tears and that tore at my heart.

"Lies! Everyone can use magic!" I growled out as my anger boiled. Did he think I was stupid! Everything on the planted had magic how else could they live.

I didn't hear what he said next but was angered by his yelling. How dare he raise his voice at me! I am clearly stronger than him he shouldn't go against me but should follow me.

Growling deeply in anger I reached my hand towards him only to see him slouch towards me baring his neck in the process thus causing me to pause my movements. Laying my hand on his neck I squeezed lightly and felt him move in to my. My heart boiled and I growled once more.

I knew he didn't understand what he just did but I would show him one day soon.

Letting go I stood up and stroked his cheek, "I'll see you soon."
