Chapter 13: Meeting the Protagonist

It's been two weeks since I arrived in Teyvat and I have gotten used to living in this world. I have been through plenty of commissions and looking for chests in the wild. I have a little over 20 pulls I could do in the gacha with all the primogems I have gathered. I'm still not going to pull yet tho as I see no need to yet. I'm still living with Amber and I sometimes join her patrols. She also sometimes helps me with my commissions. We have gotten very close with each other and I recently noticed she sometimes turns red when I get closer, does she have feelings for me? If she does I'm kinda happy, but I don't know what to do next. I want to travel to other regions in the near future and pursuing her and leaving soon seems kinda wrong for me, since long-distance relationships are harder here than in the modern world.

I have also been getting along with Eula, ever since the Anemo Hypostasis incident she is starting to warm up to me but she still has her eye on me since I'm still living with Amber. I'll just take things step by step I like her after all. I have also been training with Noelle every two days. I have also been helping with her duties, she was resistant at first but I managed to convince her after a while. We hang out at Cat's Tail while relaxing and talking to each other.

Kaeya has sometimes invited me for drinking when I pass by Angel's Share, we talk about a lot of things and he teaches more about Mondstadt. I don't drink much though because I have low alcohol tolerance. Once when Kaeya invited me I met Diluc, he was serving at the bar at that time and Kaeya introduced both of us. He was still the brooding dark knight he was but we got along well and the three of us regularly drink together. I have been keeping an eye out for Venti whenever I pass by Angel's Share but I have still not seen him which is strange since in his lore he regularly drinks there, he must be out finding Dvalin or something. Right now I'm outside looking for chests

"I can't find any chests around here…"

I have been looking for them for a while now and turned up nothing. I decided to try a different area to try my luck. I walked for 30 minutes reaching the new area

"I wonder if there are any chests around here let's see… hmm?"

I spotted a person in the distance, she had blonde hair and a white dress, and beside her was a floating child. Needless to say, I know who this is, it is the traveler who represents you playing the game.

'So it is Lumine on the journey' I thought, the travelers had their own separate names, Aether being the male and Lumine the female. Your other sibling will be missing and the traveler's goal is to find where his/her sibling is. However, as the story goes deeper your sibling is part of a deeper scheme in this world and the traveler will slowly uncover the truth in his/her journey. As the game's story was not finished I don't know the goal of Aether's plans which I need to look out for. Seeing Lumine I realized that she will soon be seeing Dvalin and Venti in the forest. I decided to call out to her and join so I can see how the story unfolds in first person

"Hello you two, are you lost?"

Lumine and Paimon noticed me and approached me to greet me

"Hello! I'm Paimon." Paimon introduced herself as always with her high-pitched voice annoying a lot of people. Paimon has a petite body, giving her the look of a fairy. She has thick white hair cropped just above her shoulders, dark purple eyes, and light skin. She wears a long-sleeved white jumper a night-blue cape flecked with stars, and white stockings with white boots. Rose-gold embroidery and shapes are attached to her jumper, boots, and sleeves.

Paimon's accessories are a dark blue hairpin, almost black, and a rose-gold tiara that levitates above her head as though it were a halo.

"Hello, I'm Lumine." Lumine's hair is chin-length except for two locks of shoulder-length hair framing her face. She has two light-blue Inteyvat flowers pinned on the right side of her head and two pale blue feathers tucked at the left. She wears a sleeveless, backless, box-pleated white dress held up by crossed black straps. She wears a long two-tailed scarf, with each tail having a gold, flat diamond-shaped ornament attached to the tip of the tail. Her legwear consists of angled thigh-high stockings and white ankle-high boots.

"Hello you two, my name is Jun an adventurer, are you two travelers?"

"Yes, Paimon and her have traveled for months in the wild."

"I see," Seeing the opportunity I asked Lumine

"So this friend of yours is she a mascot?" I looked at Lumine and could almost see the dialogue options

"Emergency food," Lumine said and Paimon got angry and stomped her little feet in the air

"Hey! Paimon is not emergency food!" I laughed hard at Lumine's response, hearing her say it in real life and knowing it was the same in-game gave me a good laugh

"Hey! That's not funny now you're just being rude." Paimon pouted crossing her arms and turning to the side

After a few seconds, I regained my composure at looked at the two of them

"So you two want to get to Mondstadt, don't worry I'll gladly show you two the way."

"Really? Thank you Jun, you saved us."

"Yes, Paimon is sick sleeping outside. Paimon misses sleeping in a big soft, fluffy bed."

"Haha you're exaggerating this is not a big deal I was just on my way back myself."

"You're a kind person aren't you Jun," Lumine said smiling at me

"Thank you for the compliment."

I joined them and escorted them to Mondstadt. This is where the story begins and I'm excited about how it will play out when I'm here
