~CHAPTER 4~

"Oh he did not do that", Myra exclaims a little too loudly.

The woman sitting besides him quietens her. Her face gets hot with embarrassment, 'sorry' she sheepishly replies.

He looks at her, she looks back at him and both of them laughed this time in silence.

"You're friends are so crazy!" She adds softly so that the old woman doesn't get disturbed again.

He gives a loud laugh, "You have no idea".

Clearly the old women was so smitten by him that she didn't even ask him to be quite just gave him big smile. Great!

Time flies so fast when she and Dane have conversations about his friends and their crazy plans.

Somehow almost making her wish that she could meet them. Hearing him talk so passionately with that perfect dimpled smile, telling her stories that just makes her feel she still has long way to go to a normal life that she wanted.

"Ladies and gentleman we have reached our destination....."

As the announcement goes of, Myra's heart saddens at the thought of leaving and going in their separate ways.

"Looks like we've finally reached", she sighs. As if he didn't hear the announcement! Her subconscious hits her head.

"Look's like it", a defining silence falls between them, both of them have no clue as to what to say because it's been just few minutes of conversation and they suddenly feel a connection.

When the plane lands, scared Myra immediately shuts her eyes and holds the first thing that gets in contact with her hands. After it gets quieten she slowly opens her eyes.

"Never liked the landing myself", she faces him grinning, she smiles back.

"As much as I would love to stay in this airplane right now with you, I have to go", He smirks and Myra deepens her frown then looks at her hand which is wrapped tightly around his hand. She immediately realizes his hand but her cheeks stay red.

Both of them get up at the same time and he moves to open the compartment. "Here Ma'am", He hands the old woman her bag and just like that he has worked his charm on her, the blush on her cheeks says everything.

"Thank you", she says and retreats.

"And here you go", he hands her bag and she thanks him, but feels as if he wants her to leave and not wait for him. So she takes the bag, gives him a short smile controlling her emotions not to appear on her face which is very difficult for her as she has a transparent face because of which she was never good at her previous job as well.

She walks away hoping he would stop her, still nothing. So without looking back she moves forward.

"Maybe he is not the one", She says to herself standing beside the conveyor belt for her bag.

Finally the maroon colour catches her eyes she's thankful that she at least remembered how her bag looked like this time, even though there was no key chain to remind her. She should've learned from her mistake, last time where she even forgot the colour it was only when the familiar soccer key chain passed right in front of her realization hit her, making her chase the bag.

She shook her head forgetting the embarrassment she felt that time and hurriedly moves out of the airport.

"I thought you were supposed to pick me up", Myra should've known this about Siena.

"I'm really sorry Myra but I suddenly got a call who wanted me to do some editing and shit", Siena sighs.

Myra feels bad for Siena this is not the first time when her senior have given her their work. Even though Myra doesn't take shit from them they are still her seniors.

"Myra..."

"Yeah! I'm right here", shaking off her thoughts she replies.

"Don't worry Myra. I have sent you the address catch a cab and the key's in the plant. Bye take care and I'll meet you at home", she blabbers.

"Okay..." the call is ended. "Bye", she says softy in the air.

Now where to find a cab? She dragged her suitcase at a corner however a shout stops her. Turning around she finds the obnoxious Dane Ortiz himself calling her name?

"Myra", he exhales loudly reaching her.

"Yes", she says not wanting to entertain him longer.

"Why do you walk so fast woman?" He questions catching his breath.

"I walk at a normal speed but I'm sure you did not stop me to tell me that?" Folding her arms in front of her chest.

"Well you walk fast and you're right I'm not here for that"

"What do you want Dane?" Even though her mind was not clear on his presence here but her heart gave her a false hope about the future.

"Well first, you left without saying goodbye"

Raising her eyebrow she asked, "weren't you the one who wanted me gone?"

"No why do you think that?"

"Ah, maybe the fact that you gave me my luggage in a hurry and also you never said to wait for you"

"What...?" He pauses his next words then recalls what she really meant. He continues. "I'm sorry you felt like that but it was never my intention"

"So you came here to say goodbye?"

Again he pauses then answers immediately shaking his head, "No...no....nothing of that sort...I didn't even know that you were feeling that..."

"Then?"

"Actually I came here for that", he points at her suitcase.

"My suitcase?"

"Yes actually that's mine"

"What?" She look at his suitcase which apparently looks the same.

"How do know that this one is yours it could've been swapped with someone else too?"

"I know that is mine it has my initials on it", when she start searching for those he stops her. "Let me"

He picks up the suitcase and turns it to the side, "see". It has D and T written at the side of it in a cursive text.

"Oh", putting down the suitcase he shifts the other one that he brought with him to her side. Now she can only hope that this one was hers and not someone else's.

"I'm sorry I didn't knew..."

"It's okay", he automatically replies.

"So..." she begins.

"So..." he repeats.

"Do you mind a cup of coffee?" Gathering all the courage she finally spits out the words.

"Oh", a guilt expression crosses his face making her heart crumble and his next words shattered it more. "I'm sorry Myra but my intention was never to lead you on. You are just not my type."

Desperate words just spilled out of her, "then in the plane?"

"I was just trying to make you feel better as you didn't have your phone and all...." he clearly has answers for everything.

Tears threaten to fall from her eyes, her throat tighten, her breathing fastens, no words come out of her but she still had her self respect so turning around she leaves him standing alone.

"Taxi", both of them shout at the same time seeing the cab. A black taxi cab stops in front of them. They both look at each other for a second then he speaks, "you can go in this one I'll take another cab".

Myra knows that this was his last goodbye to her. Only God knows when will they meet again. So she just nods her head and sits in the cab. The taxi starts moving. There was a little thought in her mind to stop the taxi and run back to him but she stayed quiet.

Stupid Heart!
