I sat quietly in the carriage as my thoughts drifted back to my brother, Edward. Even I didn't know the reason I'm here, maybe my prayers of wanting to escape the world had been answered but if the time hear is the same with the outside world then it would take a really long time to finally meet brother again.

My eyes watered and tears unconsciously slipped down my eyes and slowly ran down my thin cheeks.

Accorsa frowned and raised a brow at me.

"Are you missing your family already?"

"Huh?" I looked up at her.

It was at that moment that I noticed my wet cheeks and cloudy eyes, I hurriedly wiped my tears.

If the villainous female lead throw me out because I cried, I won't be able to return to Mariana's home and I heard that orphanage in the medieval era were as shitty as possible.

And I might not be able to play my role if she thinks I'm a weak child, I might never be able to go back to my world.

"Stop the carriage." Accorsa ordered loud enough for the coachman to hear. The carriage came to an abrupt stop immediately.

Damn, I'm doomed, she's gonna throw me out. I wanted to say something but strangely I couldn't even mutter a single word, tears clouded my eyes. This were the cons of possessing a five year old child's body.

The lady's escort knight opened the carriage door and asked, "Is there something you need, My lady?"

"Get the other child." Accorsa said.

What other child? Was I being replaced?

My head spinned and my eyes widened.

"What?" I finally managed to voice out something.

Accorsa's head was filled with such thoughts, the little child that was said to be her half sister had the golden eyes of the Blithwines, her hair seemed to be the combination of black and brown but her thin and malnourished body didn't seem like that of a noble child from Blithwine.

The child must have suffered a great deal in the hands of her maternal aunt.

But she would be less lonely if she was with someone she knew. So, Accorsa decided to bring the other child along but Tatiana's expression didn't match her expectations.

"Do you want to say something?" Accorsa stared down at the little child.

"Huh, no, not at all."

How can I oppose if you want me replaced? But what about the novel never ends because I didn't play my part and I never go home?

"My lady, I've arrived with the child." The escort knight announced from outside.

Accorsa glanced at the little girl in front of her before replying, "Let her in."

Argh, this is the end. I'll be thrown out.

I lamented inwardly.

"But, My lady?"

"I said let her in, do you have any objection?"

"Not at all, My lady." The escort knight opened the door and bowed.

Oh, that's right. The female lead didn't like filth, especially filthy commoner children.

It was a strange sight to see her riding same carriage as me, it could be excused since Tatiana was a Blithwine but the same couldn't be said for Mariana.

The carriage door opened and my one year older cousin climbed into the carriage.

She blankly sat besides me with a shock filled face, the little girl was still in shock after watching her mother being dragged away.

I suddenly felt pity for her, the young child wasn't evil, she just acted the role she was given. She was a mere character who had to play by the rules.

Haa, I don't want to do this but brother would probably do it if he was here.

The carriage started moving again, I held Mariana's shoulder and gently pushed her head to rest on my shoulder.

She didn't even protest, she just related her head on my shoulder with a small sigh of relief and a little bit of hope.

Accorsa's eyes twitched at this scene, she diverted her eyes from them and stared out the window.

My eyes that had been wide open in vigilance looked around as I felt the carriage stop.

The coachman came over and opened the door, I shook Mariana gently.

She slowly opened her eyes.

"Tatiana?" She murmured and held my arm tightly.

"We are here, let's get down first." I gently pulled my hand away.

Accorsa had already left the carriage, she stood by the carriage door, probably waiting for us.

I helped Mariana up and let the coachman carry her down before jumping off the carriage myself.

Accorsa frowned at my action.

"You would have asked for help."

"Didn't want to trouble anyone when I can get it done myself."

Accorsa blinked.

"Come here." She ordered in a low voice.

Accorsa never raised her hand on Tatiana in the original story but if she hits me? But I steeled my resolve and walked towards her with big strides... that is as big as my little legs could take.

Accorsa held my hand which greatly surprised me, I quickly grabbed Mariana hand with my free hand. She still looked dull but her complexion was better.

Accorsa walked with us to the entrance of the majestic building, the Blithwine was the military power of the empire but their riches were almost comparable to the Duke family that was in charge of the empire's finance.

The magnificent building glowed in wealth, the statues were clean and shone brightly. I knew there were literal dollar signs in my eyes but I didn't care. I stared shamelessly in fascination and a little bit of greed.

At that moment I noticed the people who were lined up at the entrance, they all had maid uniforms on except an old man that wore a brilliant black tuxedo. He was the butler, perhaps.

"Welcome Young miss and little miss!" The maids greeted in unison.

Oh, was all this preparations for me?

I blushed.

"This would be your home from now on." Accorsa said with a straight face.

Home? The only home I had was with Edward but I could get a home in a fictional world?

It wasn't my home but I'll occupy till I go back to my home.
