Chapter 5

After walking sometime trough the ventilation system I finally stand over the ventilation grille which leads down in a kitchen like room. I use my antennas to scan the room and search around with my heat vision. I count eleven humans, one in the room next to this one behind a counter and the rest on tables in the hall that comes after.

With my targets clear I open the ventilation grille and climb out of it and then look around this room which is some sort of store room. My plan is to lure them in a trap so that I can kill them all before anyone alarms the security.

In the room I fiend a lot of food and some kitchen utensils. I take a knife and try to throw it so that I can kill someone with it, I failed and after the tenth time I lay them aside. I begin to tower crates with food next to the door and once finished I climb up the walls and turn the the light bulb out of the lamp and let it fall to the ground.

As soon as the light bulb made its way to the ground, I climbed to the darkest shadow in the room and wait.

The sound of the breaking light bulb got the attention of the nearest person and not to long after the door opens and reveals a man with brown hair and beard in kitchen clothes. He mutters something as he pushes the button next to the door but I wasn't able to understand the langue, so I continue to observe him.

The man left the room and came shortly after back with a lamp in hand. He walks in the room and begins to search the floor in hopes to find the cause of the shattering sound. As he finally fiends the shattered light bulb he looks up to the lamp, I use this moment to get behind him and pierce his heart from behind.

He gave a short scream of pain before falling to the floor with hands on the bloody heart and life less eyes. His death was noisy enough to get the attention of all the persons in the room and lure them in.

I hide behind the towered crate and wait for the people to come in. They didn't let me wait long as seven men and three woman came trough the door while calling something that most likely is the name of the men that I already killed. Once all were inside and shocked with the corps on the bloody floor I throw the tower to the ground, with the sudden noise and lose of light the persons in the room got in panic and begin to scream and shout.

Now is my time. I speed in the direction of the nearest person and pierce his heart with my tail, I repeat this a other eight time till only one was left. I stand before the last person which is a woman, when suddenly a blinding light was aimed at me.

The woman got her hands on the lamp that the cook brought with him and is now aiming that light in my face. A short moment later my eyes adapted to new brightness and I can see the stunned face of the woman which is opening and closing her mouth repeatedly without making a sound.

It looks funny and I let out a chuckle. This shocked the woman once again and she is now looking at me with a bewildered look. I want to end this soon so I move my tail in her direction to which the woman got out of her stupor and begins to talk or plead.

After listening a while to her words I begin to understand what she says even if only a little, this realization brought me the idea of future listening to her words so that I maybe learn the langue enough to understand what is being said around me.

With this new goal I begin to lower my tail till it was back behind me. The woman thinks that she managed to calm me down and let out a sigh. As soon as she stopped talking I once again point my tail in her direction and move slowly closer. This makes the woman successfully talk again so I stop my advance and slowly began to take my tail back.

After the third time she understands and didn't stop talking even when I have my tail not pointed at her. I now understand roughly 30% of what she says and the improvement goes faster and faster.

After a hour of listening to the woman talk I managed to master the langue and am now listening to the latest research results.

The woman really must not know anything other than research as she only talks about it and nothing else. But enough of that, I finished my goal, so its time to get ride of her after the last thing is cleared. That last thing is to ask her for the exit, now is only the question,,How?,,.
