Chapter 10

I push my senses to the max and map out the area around me to plan the best escape route. Tightening my muscles to the limit and accelerating my main heart to 80% of its maximum capability to withstand the incoming exhaustion I finished my preparations.

And then BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!! I push of the roof and speed over six houses before I begin to descend. As soon as my feet touch the ground I crouch down and once again make my self ready to jump but this time I aim my flight rout so that I will collide with a bird two houses before me.

Executing my jump and flying with neck breaking speed to the poor little bird, I open my mouth and devour him whole. Second phase of the plan begins now!

Once my feet touch the ground again I spin around and jump with the same speed as before directly at the following crow. The crow reacts quickly and dodges my claws but I use my tail to slightly touch the crow on a single feather.

Without looking back I let my self fall in one of the alleys between the houses, in the fall I twist my body to gain some momentum which I use to destroy the ground beneath me with my tail and land in a basement. Recovering my senses after the landing I dash straight to one of the walls and jump with all my power against it. The collision breaks the wall and leaves a hole in it trough which I passed.

On the other side of the wall is the sewerage, exactly what I searched for. Speeding down the channels of the sewerage without ever slowing down till I come to a special branching of the channels. Trying out something new I give a short but loud shout that halls trough the channels. Staying still for a moment I concentrate on the echo of my shout and use the back feed to analyze which way to go.

After deciding that it should be the right side I once again storm forward while scanning my surroundings. Thanks to that I notice a thin string of mana on my back that tries its best to hide it self.

Modifying my plan a little I begin to search for a small heat signature in my path. Finding a rat eating some trash, I ready my tail to snatch the little thing out of the run. Once close I grab it successfully and it desperately tries to free it self, without a chance of course.

Recalling the the string on the crow and analyzing it closer I begin to recreate the string whit just my imagination and will. Connecting the string with the rat I suddenly feel many different emotions crash against my mental shields. But they get merciless slaughtered by by a darkness that doesn't accept any invaders.

The rat suddenly stops moving and I feel that I gained complete control over the little guy. Taking this as a sign of success I change my focus to the little string attached to my back. To not alert the owner of this string I decide to just rip out the part of my own mana where the string is attached to and plant it on the rat.

It is more difficult than expected but in the end it couldn't resist my mind breaking will and gets separated from my body and planted on the little rat. As soon as my mana touches the rat it begins to invade the little creature while the mana of the rat tries to expel the invading one. To bad that my mana just simply over floods the protecting mana and extinguish its core and takes its place instead.

Finishing the fusion the little rat changed a little but nothing mayor, so I just ignore the whole thing and throw the rat in the left channel of the next splitting and go my self in the right one. Successfully overcoming this hurdle I concentrate on my escape once again.

After nearly two hour I sens the pursuer with the senses of the rat and decide that it could be dangerous if they can get there hands on my mana signature so I order my mana in the rat to create a simple chemical reaction and then cut the connection. Now knowing the position of the people that are following me I come to the decision that I should be able to get out of the city within half an hour and these guy will need thirty fife minutes to catch up to me if I calculated correctly.

But to be sure on this I gonna leave some presents for them because I definitely dont want to understate these guys and get caught of guard. True to my word I begin to catch every living being that I come across and inject them with a dose of my mana and leave them with the order to activate the chemical reaction as soon as the pursuer come close to them.
