Past Life

''Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,'' she screamed, her heart racing with fear and confusion as she found herself in a strange and unfamiliar environment.

*Slap*

Suddenly, she felt a sharp sting on her cheek as Astarion's hand connected with her face.

''Stop yelling,'' he said with an icy tone, his expression showing no sympathy for her distress. It was clear that he was not the type to soothe a person in distress, but rather to just kill anyone who annoyed him.

However, he couldn't harm Krisia yet, as she was his precious physique vessel that he needed for his plans.

"Get out of this car first," Astarion commanded, his tone brooking no argument as he stepped out of the vehicle and gestured for Krisia to do the same.

*Gulp*

With a gulp, she followed his orders, her fear of the unknown outside outweighing her fear of him. She couldn't shake the feeling that there were still zombies lurking outside, but she also felt that disobeying Astarion could result in her death.

As Krisia stepped out of the car, she was met with a scene of utter chaos. The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood and the once bustling city was now a wasteland, destroyed by the relentless attack of the zombies.

It was hard to believe that all of this destruction had occurred in just a matter of hours.

But while Krisia was horrified by the sight before her, Astarion seemed to be reveling in it. She couldn't understand how or why, but he had become a blood addict, constantly craving the sight and taste of it.

''You see your two friends Whatever their name was are dead!''

As he turned to face her, he casually mentioned that her two friends, whose names he don't even remember, were dead.

"What do you mean they're dead?" Krisia exclaimed, her voice trembling with fear. She turned to look at the Lamborghini and saw that only Vivea and Leon were still inside, unconscious.

Her heart sank as she realized that Laith and Max were nowhere to be seen.

"Did you...did you kill them?" she stammered, filled with dread at the thought that this man could have killed her friends and might now turn on her.

"No," Astarion replied, his voice cold and devoid of emotion. "Those two died protecting you all from the zombies. When I found this car, they were already on the brink of death and begged me to save you three."

Krisia was speechless. She couldn't believe that her friends were gone, and she couldn't fathom why this stranger would go out of his way to save them.

But something in her mind told her that she should trust him, that he was telling the truth.

"How do I know I can trust you?" she finally managed to ask, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts.

"If I had wanted to kill you, I would have done it already," Astarion replied, his voice still cold but with a hint of frustration. "And why would I save you if I were the one who killed your friends?"

Krisia's mind was running a million miles a minute, trying to make sense of everything. She couldn't deny that Astarion's words made sense, and she found herself wanting to believe him.

"But...why did you slap me earlier?" she asked, still trying to piece everything together.

"Because you were being annoying," Astarion replied with a shrug, his tone implying that it was the most obvious answer in the world.

Krisia couldn't help but roll her eyes at his nonchalant response, but she couldn't deny that she was grateful for his protection. She shivered, suddenly aware of the cold and the fact that she was only wearing a thin dress. Astarion noticed and suggested that she get back in the car to warm up.

"Can we please just leave this place?" Krisia asked, her teeth chattering as she rubbed her arms to generate some warmth.

"Sure, go inside the car," Astarion replied, zipping up his jacket as he didn't want to catch a cold, and as for krisia he don't give a fuck and why should he?

"O-Okay," she replied, still wary of Astarion's intentions. But as she got into the car.

"What happened to you guys? Why were you unconscious and these two are still out?" Astarion asked, pointing at Vivea and Leon who were slumped in the backseat of the Lamborghini.

"We...we took drugs, but just too much," Krisia replied, her tone somewhat embarrassed. She could feel Astarion's giving her side-eyes.

But then Krisia noticed that Vivea was sweating profusely and even trembling slightly. ''What's happening?'' she asked, concerned.

"Master! This girl is remembering her past life!" Sol suddenly exclaimed after seeing Vivea.

"What?"
