Chapter – 32 Targets Practice

While Lucas was on his way towards the forest to find Max, who had already arrived in the forest without telling Lucas. Max had gone inside the forest to test out the new skill on actual beasts, while he had seen earlier what the skill will do but he wanted to see how effective it will be on a beast cause the beast skins are going to be much tougher than an old tree.

Going through the forest Max encountered his first beast very quickly, the beast was not bigger than a dog and it wasn't aware of Max's presence. Max was carefully hiding from the beast, looking at its appearance Max was sure that it was not a Rare-tier beast but still he needed to be careful because last time he made the mistake of being careless and getting into a near-death fight with the beast if it wasn't for Bob, he would have died there.

"Just a little closer," Max said to himself and while getting closer he had already condensed the space energy on his hand thus making a ball of it. The beast was still unaware of Max's presence and while he was lying on the ground without any worry, a small ball the size of a fist come towards him and hit him on the back, the instant the space ball hit the beast back his flesh got torn and left the same size hole there. But the beast was not dead because of that much damage after getting hit, the beast instantly got up and started looking at where the attack had come from. The beast was angry which was clear to Max cause the beast was showing its teeth in anger.

The beast had no idea where the attacker is and the pain from the earlier attack was making him angrier as he was not able to find the attacker. After not being able to see the attacker for some time the beast kept his guard up and was facing in the direction where the attack had come from.

"It was very effective, seeing as the whole area had vanished where the ball had hit the beast. Now I had to know which tier the beast is." Max said to himself and shifted his position as the beast was keeping an eye on his previous location, Max didn't want to expose his location to the beast. Using Dimensional Travel Max shifted to another location while the beast was still looking at the last location of Max.

Max made another ball and threw it with his full strength but this time he aimed at the head of the beast. while the beast's full focus was on another direction the ball hit him at the back of his head like earlier that part of his head got vanished. The beast instantly dropped to the ground without any sign of life.

Seeing the lifeless body of the beast on the ground Max got closer to the beast and dug out the Crystal from it.

Seeing that the beast had a fist size hole in his head Max was impressed with the destructive power of the skill now he needed to check this skill on Advance tier beast before getting overconfident again. Leaving the body on the ground Max continued to head inside the forest to look for an Advance tier beast.

Slowly and carefully, Max was heading inside, while he was still in the Outer area, he was being cautious of his surrounding as he knows now that sometimes higher-tier beasts can also be roaming in the outer area. And even though Max had gotten stronger than before he didn't want to risk fighting an unknown beast without any support.

"Come on, just one Advance tier beast and I'll know how effective this skill is" Max complained to himself. He was getting frustrated for not finding any Advance tier beast here. After the first beast, he had come across two more Basic tier beasts but not a single Advance tier beast yet. He had received 9 Exp. from them in total and two Basic crystals.

"Why is it so hard to find beasts in the Outer area but if I go to the Middle area, it will be dangerous for me." Max thought while searching for the beasts. While Max was getting frustrated about not finding a beast, a beast was following Max from above. It was waiting for Max to drop his guard, so it can inflict a fatal wound making it easier to hunt Max.

While Max was not aware of the danger above him, the beast was stealthily following Max by the trees. After some time when Max wasn't able to find any Advance tier beasts he sat down on the ground while making sure that there were no beasts around him. He used the tree as a support to protect his back from any threats and he took out a piece of bread and started eating it.

Seeing that Max was resting now, the beast started to move towards Max from above and started to make his first move towards Max. The beast was going to attack Max when he saw that the human who was eating the bread just now had suddenly Vanished from his place and appeared behind the beast.

"I was waiting for this moment for a very long time. You little beast." Max said that to the beast while his hand which was holding the space ball was already near the beast's head and before the beast can realize what was happening, Max hit him and the head of the beast disappeared from his body.

After Max took out the crystal from the beast, he throws the body of the beast on the ground and dragged it to the place where he was resting earlier. "Well, that beast was quite small and the beast of the same tiers differ in strength sometimes but still I think it will be quite powerful against the Advance tier beast," Max said to himself while looking at the small body of the beast which has no head now because of the Space ball.

"I should use this as bait for the other beasts to lure them here. And this place is close to the Middle area so there will be a chance to attract a lot of beasts. And if a Rare-tier beast came I while simply run away from it." Max planned his next move, now he had tested the power of his skill he was confident that he will be able to hunt a lot of beasts and will farm a lot of Exp.

Max cut down the beast in small pieces and left them there on the ground while he had distanced himself from that location. Looking from a little far away Max was waiting for other beasts to come, Lucas had told Max that Beasts eat each other flesh to grow stronger but if a human tries the same it will harm the human's body. So, no one eats the flesh of a beast they mostly use it for luring other beasts.

"I should have carried those Basic tier beasts' bodies too they might have come in handy but there would have been a risk of getting surrounded by the beasts if I had carried the flesh of Beast with me alone." Max thought while patiently waiting for the beast to come.

After waiting for close to 20 minutes a beast came towards the flesh and carefully examine the surrounding before it started eating the flesh of the dead beast from earlier. Seeing that a beast had come Max's mood changed and he check the beast.

The beast was quite big this time but not bigger than Max's horse which he had used to come here. The beast's thick legs and body of the beast had a wavy pattern with green and yellow colors skin in the mix. The beast was looking tougher than any beasts Max had faced yet and the mouth of the beast was also covered in the same pattern as its body. While the beast was slowly eating, Max made another ball in his hand and used Dimensional Travel to appear in front of the beast and pushed the ball into the head of the beast.

The beast got startled the moment Max appeared in front of him and it backed off to save himself from the incoming attack that was aimed at his head. Seeing that beast had a faster reaction than him and the attack won't hit the beast, Max throw the ball towards the beast and hit the beast but seeing what had happened to the beast Max was shocked.
