" what?! " Ken barked at secretary bessy ." What do you mean by Nate is not in his office? "

" I mean I went to his office and -"

" Where is his bodyguard?"

" I'll go get him now sir "

Few minutes later , secretary bessy entered with Nathan.

Ken slapped him " you ! What were you doing when Nate left his office and you didn't follow him ?"

" I thought he needed some space sir ,"

"And what ? You think you get to decide that ? Listen carefully young man, my son is not just anybody . Do you get that ? If anything should happen to him "ken pointed at his fingers at Nathan" get ready to pay the price. Get out " .

Nathan walked out of the office with his hands on his cheeks. " That hurts "

" As it should " secretary bessy said beside him " you should have done your job properly"

Nathan smiled " I did.thanks to your quick heads up , I know where the chairman is. He was just so angry earlier that I felt like he needed space. That's all "

Bessy twitched her mouth" don't get all cheesy now. When I said you should have done your job properly I meant that since you know where the chairman is you should have brought him back before Mr. Ken found out "

" Yeah, I better go get him back now . Thanks bessy "and Nathan ran out.

when I suddenly started to feel better my phone rang ; mom

" What "

" Kate , where are you ? Your father is looking for you and seems really angry . You can't just diss work like that "

" Mom, even if no one understood me . I thought you would. Ever since I took this job, I've just been getting hurt or hurting others . Can't I just have some time to myself ? "

Mom sighed " Kate , I understand you but -"

" But ? Goodbye " and I hung up . No one understood me .

" This is where you were?" I heard a voice say.i turned around to see my bodyguard.

" How did you ... nevermind, I'm sure bessy told you "

He smiled .

I looked at him. His cheeks were red .

" Oh my , what happened ?".

" it's nothing "

" Were you hit because of me ?"

He didn't respond.

Great . Just friggin great .

" Hey, have you always wanted to be a bodyguard?"

" Yes "

" Why?"

"I had this sense of urgency to protect people because I'd watch my mom get beaten up alot growing up "

I nodded my head " makes sense. Have you thought of anything else you'd want to become except a bodyguard? "

" Well, I studied business for my mom when I was in school but I have no interest in"

I looked at him . He studied business ? I smiled . The heavens really sent me a guardian angel.
