Chapter 21 (Changes)

It has been ten Sunrises or Rays as they call it nowadays, many things have changed in my life.

I have accepted my identity as alan maverick which caused heaven shaking events,

I became more comfortable with my mother feeding me, bathing me, and literally doing everything I could do if I was able to move, but there I am still covered in blanket cover.

There were many questions about that light at the night event but it was all dismissed by papa saying it was a failed experiment from a witch.

Nobody seems to understand about it but my mother and papa definitely knew about it, which tells me they do not have an ordinary background. Since even I also know only little about it.

After this so-called "heaven blessing" that I went through nothing seems to change within me, but I can clearly feel some differences than before, as I was able to hear mother father whispers across the room and also see more clearly than before which should not possible as there is not a single wit(1) of mana in my body.

I also feel there is some increase in my strength but it is not enough for me to move yet, but there was once a time I sat straight on the bed for a whole second before falling, to which both my parents celebrated as if it was an achievement of sorts.

There were also many things that interested me very much, same as the trinkets that amplified the voice, there were these trinkets that take snaps of the moment, it takes the snap of everything that you see through your eyes and makes exact same replica of it on a paper through the complicated mechanism, but that all fits in the palm of your hands. This was the thing that interested me the most but unfortunately, it was said to be expensive thus I didn't get my hands on it. but I did get my hands on another trinket that looks like a box and there is a small button on it that lets you play melodious songs without any singer or instrument. this was truly a work of genius, it is fixed on side of our mattress, and whenever I am alone that happens rarely, I roll towards it and play music, which just fills me with joy.

"I truly hope one day I would have a Music box in my one arm and sword in other, I would roam the lands far and wide, I will slay the dragons when beats hit right." ahh again and this is a second most noticeable change I observed, it seems my thoughts get changed whenever I am very curious about certain things and I start to behave like a child. I sometimes think it is not normal, but then again I have already accepted myself as a human child so nothing is gonna change.

But out of all the things that happened now, due to the presence of mana in day to day food that we get to eat now, our body gets more healthy and mature faster than humans of 3000 years ago, so like that a human child nowadays starts to talk after 7 months and speaks fluently after a year at most, So if I calculate the time I spent in mother womb, which I still have no clue why and they have never talked about it, and the time I have been in this world I think I should be able to walk by next full moon and should be able to talk within next two full moons.

I have a long way to go but by thinking back on how much time I sleep and that is a thing this body do most it should come before I even know and I am looking forward to those days.

But today is special as a mother is gonna take me to see her new disciples, and to which I will get to hear about the human Mana System.

Soon mother became ready in her long robe which showed her status as a magic-user, and I could see there was some inscription on the shoulder of her robe, that I think indicates her rank.

we soon left the house from our back door to see the view of lush forest and a beautiful lake.

And in a line there sat 5 students.

Lora crimson, the redhead that fought the first battle was sitting in the first row.

Vina Greenhorn, the girl that fought the redhead sat next to her.

Flora Amberly and the child prodigy sat near the lake

all of them had their eyes close and sat in a meditative posture.

There was also Stan and surprisingly alongside Yom, both were sitting under the tree in a meditative posture.

Holding me in one hand, she waved her other hand causing a gust of wind which caused everyone to wake up.

they quickly gathered at one spot and stood in front of mother.

[Good rise(1) everyone, so how is everyone doing.]asked the mother.

everybody replied with a bow and greeting.

[I see Stan you have been training hard with Domas, and it is your first magic class so i will once again go through basic real quick and give you todays task ok] said mother.

Everybody formed a line and sat down, whereas mother took out a cradle from nowhere and placed me inside it.

[So all you must know is that we all are human also called the "left child of nature", why you ask. simply because we are inherently weaker than all the other races. and why we remind ourselves of this. because we want to overcome this barrier. And to do this we need to put in much more hard work than any other race.

So what do we do to stand against other creatures like Wild beasts, Magical spirits, Mana Beasts, etc ... that could kill us in a few seconds. We use our strongest weapon and can anyone tell me what that is?] said mother.

[ Mana is our weapon, madam]said Yom.

[wrong, anyone else]said mom.

[Our mind is our most powerful weapon]said, Flora.

[correct, mana is our weapon but the same goes for everyone and they can use it better than us, but that's it, they just use mana as they were using it 3000 years ago till now, but we adopt we change, we evolve our mana into more. we create tools, we create weapons, we unite to stand against them, above that all We use our Brains. so always remember you could only become strongest if we use our brain properly. and that's the lesson today.] said, mother.

[Therefore your today goal would be to come up with a way to utilize neutral mana ball in a unique way, that should have two properties First a distraction and second a surprise. ] said the mother.

[ Now since everyone has been here for few rays and has been learning new things can someone come forward to explain Stan what is Mana?].
