The Plan

The school bell rings echo in the entire building. It's a sign that the class ended. Georgina fix her things in silent as the others bid goodbye to their teacher. After talking with her mother, she only realize something. If she can't let her go then, it's better to ruin each other.

"G-Gina, let's go home toge—" she stand up before Marga can approach her.

"Hon, are you going home? Don't you have anything to do after class?"

"I have personal thing to do,"

She's about to leave the room, but Jaceriel grabs her wrist. "Any problem?"

"I'll talk to you later,"

After saying those words, he let go of her hand, let her leave the room with no question. He looks towards Marga, who is still in shock because of what she acted and turns back to where Georgina. Eyes will never lie, even your mouth can. He knows something's going on but didn't know any details. He shrug his head and went outside as well.

On the other side, Georgina went to the rooftop—hopes to see Giovanni Javier and her instinct is right. He's standing in front of the railing propped his right hand under the chin while the other one leans on the railing. Like her, he's under the deep thoughts watching the sunset. A long silence echo between as the strong winds came, made their hair fly away with it.

"Do you need anything from me?" He asked without looking back.

"I'll help you get revenge on my mother. Tell me your plan."

"You should think twice Gia, even if you help me with this plan, it doesn't mean I'll forgive you. This is just an interest in your debt."

"I'll pay the interest first then,"

She heard him chuckle as he walk towards her direction with a serious gaze. Her heart skips a beat by just looking at him with those gazes, and the way his hair sways as the wind blows makes him look cool. The moment she realizes all the thoughts run through her mind, she looks away—clasp both hands. Giovanni stops in front, lifts her chin to face him. For a moment, they just stare to each other.

"The debt you owe me is our personal problem. We should deal with it ourselves, but the interest is a problem that our parents got involve too." He said, brushing his thumb on her lips that gives shivers down her spine. "If you want my forgiveness, then obey me. If you don't, it's fine. Let's just stick with paying the interest. Do you understand me?"

"A-ah..."

"Is it a deal or not?"

"O-okay, I'll do it. Both the debt and interest," she said. "I'll pay for everything. Tell me whatever you want."

"Good. Let's see each other in the cafe near the bus stop. Jin is already waiting there." He let go of her chin and walk away.

It's already past six o'clock in the evening when Giovanni came to their meeting place. Almost thirty minutes passed since she came to meet Jin. She didn't get bored. Besides, Jin fill up some information about the plan.

There's many people inside the cafe, noises from here and there echo as the background music plays. Both Jin and Georgina already ordered some food to eat while waiting for him.

"Do you want me to buy a drink for you? Why it took you so long?" Jin asked, instead to answer he sit beside him.

"Sorry for the long wait, it's just I can't leave Kiela for a while..."

Georgina almost splash the drink in front of Jin on what she heard, but was lucky to handle it right away.

"Gina, are you okay?"

"Y-yeah. Let's proceed to the plan,"

Giovanni gets something inside his bag. It's a brown envelope. He gives it to her, though still confuse she accepts it and looks what's inside. There's a document of bank transaction, phone calls and picture inside. All of it has something to do with her mother.

"This is only the information we gathered through connection. You can tell that there's something wrong in there. Since she manage your family business, a frequent bank transfer happened. There's also a same number she's been calling this past few years, a same account to transfer money and same person to meet up with," Giovanni said.

"Your mother has a power and connection we can't even reach, but..."

"She's laundering money from the company," the two men look at her with surprise.

"Gina, how did you kn—"

"It's not like I know it for so long," she said, scan all documents. "I don't know how the business world works, but this man is a money launderer." She pointed out the picture of the man who's her mother talking.

"How did you know? Do you have any connection with a money launderer now?" Giovanni asked.

"Back when I was in the States, his face is all over the country. Who knows? He'll hide here."

"Since you know that, let's skip the explanation. Our plan is to make your mother go to jail. Evidence is the thing we need. Pictures are not enough, a concrete evidence is what I want."

"Van is right. We need to find a hole in her perfect mask. Hidden properties by using a laundered money, laundering transaction and the launderer." Jin added. "Your father can hel—"

"No. Dad is not doing well. I don't want him to burden the evil doings of that witch. It might be a long process, but I'll try to get information inside the company."

A silence came between them three again. Georgina looks at the picture again as she grits her teeth in anger.

"Jin will continue to follow her, since they never met before. I'll do something about the launderer and widen my connection so, the thing you need to do is to find a concrete evidence inside your family company and her hidden properties. Hope the plan is clear to all of us," Giovanni said.

"I'll do it."

They stay inside the cafe for a few minutes before going out. Jin told them he'll go ahead because he need to watch for her mother so, they let him.

An awkward silent came in-between them as soon as Jin was gone. There's a one meter distance gap while waiting for a cab to come. The chilly wind blows as a thunder sounds came. You can't see any stars above or the moon. It seems like any minute the heavy rain will come. Her guts happened in just a few minutes as an enormous drop of rain came. Many people run towards in front of the cafe, sheltered themselves to not get drenched. Since people got pack, they have pushed Georgina beside Giovanni.

There are many noises in every direction as the sound of raindrops echo. She tries hard not to look in Giovanni's direction, but someone accidentally pushes her behind. She almost lost balance but an arm wrap on her belly to support. Again, a loud beating sound of her heart came, as if it won't stop.

"Hey, don't push people in front. It's dangerous." He said to a man behind her.

"S-sorry, my bad."

He let go of her as soon as she stands properly. They become silent again while waiting for a cab to come, but no one pass by. It takes another twenty minutes to wait before a cab stop in front of them. Giovanni opens the back door and turn to her.

"Get inside," he said.

"H-huh? N-no, go home first."

"I said get inside,"

"We have the opposite way."

"Should I drag you inside or let the other take the cab?"

"O-okay,"

She went inside the car and as soon as he close the door; the driver starts the engine. No words came out to her mouth, just a pure awkwardness. She looks outside the window to distract herself since her heart doesn't stop from beating fast. At first the drive went well and smooth, but in the middle of the main road, a traffic jam came and they get stuck in the same location.

She's about to close her eyes, but notices a familiar place near them. It's an old park. The fountain looks old and not even working, but the tree house is still there. The place seems an abandoned one. Any minute, they can destroy it and change for a better one. Back then, it's a place full of memory. A special place that Giovanni and her treasure the most. A slight genuine smile escapes her lips as she remembers the past when they are still together.

"Ma'am, are you a regular to that place?" The driver asked.

"Y-yeah, before."

"It's a good place but they'll going to make it an amusement park soon."

"I-I see."

She leans on the window and closes her eyes. 'There's no such thing as permanent in this world,' she thought to herself as the past came inside her mind.
