Sudden Visit

Georgina push the man who pull her back but saw Giovanni in furious look. They stare at each other, but tears keep falling from her eyes. She saw Henrick and Kiela behind him while some people looking at their direction and whispering to each other. She looks across the road and saw her mother shrug her head, walking back inside the car and leave.

"What the hell are you doing?" Giovanni abruptly asked with a straight, shocked face.

"Why? Tell me, why do you need to go here and pull me? Can't you just watch me?" She grabs his collar, staring at him with disbelief. "I cause all of your pain, just... Please, just let me."

"Are you crazy? If you want to die, then do it by yourself."

She let go of his collar and stand up.

"Van, are you okay? You have wounds. Let's treat it." Kiela said, helping him to stand.

Georgina can't do anything but watch them act like a genuine lover in front as the tears keep falling from her eyes. The pain inside her was getting bigger as the time passed. She takes a step backward.

"Gina, if you have a problem and are so desperate to marry Henrick, please think about it again and just don't end up with this ridiculous decision. Are you not ashamed of yourself? I feel like... You're not the same person I know," Kiela said.

"Same person? This is the real me, a person who is desperate to be forgiven."

"Georgina," Giovanni gaze at her, but she would take another step backward.

"You should watch over for your parents and yourself. I... I lost. There's no way I can do anything anymore so... Please,"

"What are you saying now? Are you really crazy?" Kiela asked, but Giovanni, who understands every word that came out of her mouth, clench both fists and look down.

"I'm sorry."

After saying those two meaningful words, Georgina run away from them. Without a direction to go, she would wander wherever her foot brings her.

A week passed, compare to last week Georgina barely touch her food. She spends all her time lying down on the bed crying or staring at nowhere. It's been two weeks since she last attended the class. Auntie Sita always tells her that a notice came about her absence but she didn't say a thing and they never pressure her to tell what's the problem was. But her brother couldn't take the sudden change in his older sister. He insisted on taking the food to her room. As soon as he enters the room, it's all dark. There's no light, the curtains are all close, and it's cold. He put down the tray on the bedside table and turn on the lights. Georgina was sitting on the floor beside the bed and she didn't even touch the food that Auntie Sita had brought before.

His sister is a mess. Swollen eyes, thin body and pale skin. It's as if she's about to die.

"Gina, are you not going to eat?" He asked, sits beside her. "Gina... Do you know how worried I am now? If you didn't get better in three days, I'll call dad to scold you."

She didn't answer or glance towards his side.

"I saw the video and pictures before. Many people are judging you, but they don't know what's behind it. Even if you don't tell me, I know mom is tormenting you again." He said. "Gina, we don't need her. I don't need a mom if I have you."

A tears fall down from Warren's eyes as he saw how Georgina's gaze looks lifeless.

"Don't treat me as a child. I can protect you too, like what you used to when I was little."

"I-I'm a useless person. You shouldn't be proud of me."

"Gina,"

"I don't want you to see me like this, so please leave me alone. Since you're not young anymore, you can take care of yourself and dad, right?"

"What are you saying? It's like you're giving me a last word." Georgina turn to his brother's side and tousle his hair while giving a gentle smile. She would stare for a few seconds and hug him tight.

"I'm not going far away," she whispers.

They separate from each other when the door open. Both of them look at the same direction and saw Auntie Sita, who look surprised.

"Auntie Sita, don't you know how to knock? I'm giving my stupid sister a lesson to learn." Warren said, wiping his tears away.

"S-sorry, but a man came here looking for Gina. It's the first time I saw him but he's waiting downstairs."

"I don't have enough energy to go down. Let him come here."

"But Gina, you don't know who is..."

"I'll be fine."

Auntie Sita and Warren look at each other full of worry, but they still follow what she wants and let the man go to her room.

It only takes a minute before the door open again. Georgina glance behind just to see an unexpected person. It's Henrick Jung, looking around the room before their eyes met. A sigh escapes her mouth before she stands up, looking away.

"Why are you here? No, how did you know where I live?" She asked.

"You're messier than before,"

"Don't beat around the bush,"

Henrick closes the door before walking in her direction. Out of instinct, she steps back, maintaining the distance between them. He notices it and stops one meter apart. A deafening silence echoes inside the four corners of the room.

"Do you know what your mom did while you're hiding inside this room?" His words made her flinch.

"W-what do you mean? Did she do something again? T-tell me."

"Mom told me she's been spreading a rumor that you're a retard. You have a mental health issue. The news spread fast to those Elite. Mom got worried and send me here, but it looks like you don't have any idea."

She purses her lips. "Retard? It's fine. Go home and don't come back anymore."

"Fine? I don't understand you." Henrick raises his voice. "Why is it always fine for you to be looked down? What's wrong with your head?"

She's about to talk again, but the door slam open that made them startle. They look at the entrance and saw her father in rage. In a flash of light, Georgina received a slap on the face. Both eyes turns wide in surprise as they heard a footstep coming inside the room. Despite of the ruckus around, her eyes only fixated in front where her father stands. He throws a set of photos in front of her face and slaps her again without saying a word. She looks down while tears are falling and notices the photos her mother has taken.

"Dad, stop it. What are you doing?" Warren said about going in between them but someone stop him from behind and saw his mother. "W-what are you doing? Let go of me."

"Let your father discipline her,"

Amidst of the chaos inside the room, Georgina can't search for the right word to say. It's as if her tongue gets tied up. She's about to touch her father's hand, but he slaps it away.

"What's all of this Georgina? Is it because of that man again? He's ruining your life again?" His dad said, shouting.

"No, i-it's not..."

"I told you not to get involved with him, but what you are doing? You mess up your life for a man and giving a lot of worries to your mother?"

"N-no. D-Dad, please calm down."

"Where's that man? I'll make his life a mess, too."

"Dad, please stop it!" She shouted that made the atmosphere awkward. Not only the people around got shock, but even Georgina didn't expect her own action.

"You're still protecting him? Norman, tell the others to search for that man." He tells to his secretary who's standing in front of the door.

"Stop it. How many times do I need to tell you to stop messing with him? He didn't do something wrong, but why are you always blaming him instead of me?"

"G-Gina?!!" Warren said in shock.

This is the first time she raises her voice in front of their father. Even the secretary stops from calling the others and stares at them. Despite of the long silence, a loud slap on the face echo inside. It made Georgina fall to the ground, crying out loud.

Henrick, who's still in dazed, came back to his senses and saw her on the floor. He's about to step back, but notices the cut on her wrist. It's not one or two but multiple cuts and some are still fresh. He even saw a blood on the helm of her sleeve.

"You dare to raise your voice just to protect that man? It seems like your mother is right. You need a doctor, not discipline."

"P-please listen to me, don't hurt him. Let him be."

"Don't talk about him in front of me," Her father was about to hit her again, but Henrick stop his hand.

"Stop hitting her,"

"Who are you? Why are you even here inside her room?"

"I-I'm her fiancé,"
