Evil Mother

The next morning, Georgina came to school with drowsy eyes. She didn't sleep a wink because of what happened last night. There's some student who greeted her, but they answer them with a nod rather than speak back. She didn't know the reason, but since earlier she feels uneasy, like something is about to happen.

In the hallway, while walking towards the SC Office, she notices Marga almost run towards the upper floor in a hurry. She seems troubled to not even notice her presence. Marga has been acting weird since early this morning. She went ahead of them saying, 'it's an urgent business,' though it never happens before. Either she's lying or telling the truth, but Georgina's guts tell otherwise. She shrug her head because of the thought and was about to open the SC Office door when Joshua and Kathy came.

"Ms. President, did you see the letter of approval? Did you give it to the Principal yet?" Kathy asked.

"Not yet. I'm about to give it to her."

"We will check the CCTV later to see who did this. Do you want to come to see it?" Joshua added.

"You can handle it alone. I will going to make a request to the Principal to fix the SC Office but for now just let it be." She taps Joshua's shoulder and goes inside to get the letter of approval inside the drawer.

In front of the Principal's Office, she's about to knock but saw the door was ajar. Before she can open it, a familiar voice lingers in her ears. She holds the doorknob with a hand trembling. Even her eyes widened in surprise the moment she looks inside the room. It's the last person she wants to meet, her evil witch mother. She's sitting on the chair in front of the Principal and opposite of her direction is Marga.

"It's nice to meet you Ms. Howle,"

"Same to you Mrs Alvarez, it's been a while. You're a great help to our school so, I'm grateful for all your help."

"Don't mention it, but I hope you'll not tell Georgina I came here. You know how stubborn that child is,"

A laugh echo inside the room, but Georgina tightened her grip on the doorknob.

"Sure, I'll tame her for you."

"Anyway, did you receive my email? I told you to get rid of Giovanni Javier, but I still receive a lot of information from my niece that the two are in contact until now."

"It's uneasy to kick him out without your daughter notice it. I'll try my best,"

"Good to hear. If you did a great job, I'll give lots of donation to this school and for you, of course,"

Georgina grit her teeth as she let go of the doorknob and run towards the rooftop—didn't mind, even if she bump into anyone. All this time, she doesn't have any plan to let her go. She must know it, but how stupid to fall on her tricks again.

The moment she came on the rooftop, without hesitation, she kick everything in sight. A compile of broken chairs on the left end corner, she destroy it and throw away out of anger while tears keep falling down. She shouts and wheeze until her hands get tired as the blood flows from the cut. Only her sobs are the noise you can hear.

"L-liar. You're a d*mn liar evil witch."

After a few seconds, the door opens. She wipes her tears away but didn't talk nor look at the person who just came. Her reputation is not the issue here anymore. They have ruined it for a long time.

"What are you doing?" She flinches when a familiar voice speaks. It's from Giovanni Javier.

"I-It's none of your business."

He looks around to see the mess she made and went back to her, then he notice her hand was bleeding from the cut. Without thinking, he walk towards and grab her hand with frown brows.

"Your hand is bleeding. What the hell is wrong with you? Go to the infirmary," he mandated, but Georgina pull her hands back while tears fall again.

"This is nothing to compare to your wounds."

"What?"

"I... I d-did everything... S-she's the worst."

"What?"

"Tell me, Van, tell me what I need to do to atone for my sin? Tell me... P-please t-tell me," she grabs his collar, looks at him straight though her sight blur because of the tears she can tell the puzzled reaction of Giovanni.

"Stop it." He grabs both of her hands, pulls it away. "Let's go to the infirmary to tr—"

"The witch is here."

Giovanni let go of her hand, gaze straight to nowhere. He grit his teeth and clench both fists while try hard to not react violently. All they heard was the weep of her.

"Tell me... Tell me what to do."

"Let's treat your wounds first,"

Before she can even stop him, he dragged her downstairs. Some students look at them with surprise, but some are in question mark. But neither the two gaze back at them as if they are the only one in the hallway.

Inside the infirmary, Giovanni looks around to search for the school doctor, but no one is around. The room is too silent and there're no students stays inside. He let her sit on the bed while looking for the first aid kit. After he gets it, he walks towards her, who is still crying, and sits beside. Without words or action, he treats her wounds in silent. It takes a ten minutes' of silence before he wraps it up with a bandage.

"Don't cry, you'll exhaust yourself." He said while putting everything he used back inside the kit.

"B-but... I-It's all my fault."

Giovanni heaves a sigh as he stands up. "Talk and confront to your mother, but if ever you can't pursue her to stop... Come find me," he said, not looking back at her.

"W-what?"

"I plan to ruin your mother's happiness," he said, put back the first aid kit inside the cabinet. "Don't dare to hurt yourself again, idiot."

After saying those words, he left the infirmary. Georgina looks confuse as she wipes both tears away—gaze towards her left hand he treated. He's right, crying is not the answer but the action. She stays inside, thinks deep about what to do next. Her mother won't just watch and do nothing, she'll make every day of her life a mess. She wonders when did they hate each other happiness. All she can remember was the evil witch had never been a magnificent mother or wife to them.

Few minutes passed when she goes outside the infirmary to talk with her mother. But on the way to the Principal Office, she bumps into Marga, who looks at her in surprise. She looked away as soon as their gaze met, but Georgina chuckled.

"You've done a good job, Margarette." She uttered, made her flinch.

"G-Gina, w-what do you mean?"

"Where is that witch?"

"I don't know what you are talking about, so..."

"Don't make me repeat myself. Where is the evil witch?"

A silence lingers between as the group of student walk pass by them.

"Tsk. I'm the fool one here. Never mind, I'll find her myself." She's about to walk when Marga speaks.

"She's in the parking lot as of now, I guess. If you hurry, you'll catch up with her."

Georgina didn't say a word or look at her again. Rather, head straight to the parking lot. As soon as she came in the parking lot, her eyes roam around the area but didn't see a single shadow from the witch. Maybe because the class already starts, that's why it's quite inside or out of the main building. She shrugs her head on the thought as continue to walk around searching for her. Until a familiar figure of woman catches her sight, she's on the phone facing her back on the far end left side. Based on her reaction, she's been in an argument with the other. It only takes a single second when their gaze met as soon as she turns around. Without thinking twice, as both fists clench tight, she strides forward, full of anger in eyes.

"I'll call you back," her mother said and end the phone call. "It's been a while, Georgina. How come you know I'm here?"

She's about to hug her, but Georgina step backward—slaps hands away with an intense gaze.

"What's with the attitude? Didn't you miss me?"

"I'd rather die than miss an evil witch like you. Why don't you try to explain everything to me?" They glare at each other but her mother laugh.

"Explain what? You must be exhausted. Get some rest sometimes."

"Don't make a fool of me ever again! Tell me, why are you here? Why didn't you stick with our deal? And tell me why until now you can't still leave Van's family? Tell me your reason, you f*cking evil witch." She pins her on the side of the car.

"Reason? I hate you." She smirks. "I hate you to , and it's the reason I want to see you suffer through those people you treasure the most. Isn't it fun to see your crying face?"

Georgina's grip on her arms tightened. It made her wince. "Y-you're crazy... Do you want to see me cry so bad so you choose to ruin other people's good life? You're a f*cking crazy evil witch."

Her hands move on its own and choke her own mother tight. It seems like her senses are off. All she can think is how to ruin and make suffer the person in front. There's no noise. Even the words her mother mumbles couldn't reach her ear.

"A-argh... L-let m-me... Ack..."

"Madame,"

Before her mother run out of breath and the two men in black suit came and drag Georgina away from her. She tries to resist, tries to reach her again, but the two men are much stronger than her. She heard her mother cough, try to catch some air to breathe while holding her neck. Her tight grip made a mark on it, but it's not enough to get satisfied.

"You brat, you just try to kill me." She looks at her in disbelief.

"Die. You should be the one who got sick and bedridden for almost a year inside the hospital."

"Fate is not on your side,"

"I will make my own and take you down as soon as possible. Let me go," she pull back her hands from those men and turn around.

"Since you dare to threaten me." Georgina stop after a few steps. "I'll ruin your happiness... You're such an annoying brat."

"Do as you like. I'll protect what's important to me, even if it means to ruin my family."

"Didn't you care about your old man? He's been sick these past few days and seek for my care... Do you wish to ruin your father's happiness?"

She grit her teeth and clench both fists in anger. No words came out of her mouth anymore as she walked back inside the main building. Neither to talk nor confront, nothing can lead them to understanding. The mother and daughter hate relationship of them has been going on before her younger brother born. At a young age, all she can feel towards her is hatred, nothing but it, though she doesn't remember much about what happened or anything about the past.

A tear falls down from her eyes as she walks in the hallway. There's no way she'll show this weak side to other student so, rather than go straight to her classroom, she went on the SC Office and cry until her tears dry on its own.
