===========================================================

With the sun at its zenith, the streets down below were buzzing with the sounds of people talking, shoes tapping on the roads and sidewalks, car tires screeching against the roads. The whole street was buzzing with life. In the middle of a very crowded sidewalk, with clouds of people talking to their phones, each other, and anything in between, stood a black-haired young man.

He stood in the middle of the formation of people waiting for the streetlights to turn green, like the rest of the people, to cross the road. He was currently staring at his phone intently and paying little attention to his surroundings.

This young man's name is Mark. An 18-year-old male walking home after a long day. As for why he is paying more attention to his phone than the road, well it's because he has been waiting for the last and latest chapter release of his favorite novel for a few days now, and finally today the last chapter was going to release, marking the end of the novel.

When the light finally turned green, he began walking with the rest of the people. While they were crossing the street on the opposite side of the road with incoming traffic, there was a truck driving towards them at full speed.

When the people noticed the truck coming towards them, they immediately rushed towards whatever they thought was the closest roadside to them, screaming and yelling at other people to get out of the way.

Right when Mark had started hearing people yelling and screaming at others to get out of the way, he had only just raised his head to see the giant truck heading straight for him. In the moment of panic, he just stood there rooted to the ground in fear, but with a strange calm, and right when the truck was about to hit him, he closed his eyes, and everything became quiet.

While his eyes were closed, he was scrutinizing the fact that there was no sound, and, while his eyes are closed, he still feels that there is no light anywhere. As soon as he opens his eyes, he finds that everything was gone. All the cars, the people, the sounds, the light, everything. Everything except him and his belongings, or what he had on him.

Just as he turns to look around, he finds the biggest thing he had ever seen, and he had seen a lot. He had gone to many places around the world due to his father, he had seen the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State building, the Shanghai Tower, and the biggest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.

His father had a tendency to go to just about anywhere that was interesting, and he was dragged to a lot of those places. His mother did balance out his eccentric father, but she was long dead. He has seen the biggest of structures and mountain formations, but this definitely took the cake on everything. This was just not physically possible, or for that matter this is not even theoretically possible.

This was just a big ball of light. Nothing else, just that.

A Big Ball of Light.

While he is right that this would be the biggest thing that he had seen in his entire lifetime, it is not JUST a big ball of light, rather it is the most realistic and real thing in the entirety of everything, everywhere. For that fact it is not even as big, or small, as he thinks it is. He was just bigger than multiple Omniverses put together to even comprehend just the size of it. Even now he still thinks that it is bigger than the sun, that's how big of a size disparity there is to this thing.

While Mark was still analyzing in wonder and amazement, the ball of light spoke, which by the way totally shocked Mark.

"Hello!" said a loud, but quiet voice that felt like it carried unimaginable power behind it. True, nonsensical power.

Working in putting his amazement behind a few bars, Mark answers unsure if he even heard right.

"Hello!"

After a while of waiting for the voice to speak again he asks a question that has been bugging him since he got here, wherever that would be.

"Where am I?"

"You are in the Void, a space between, around, and all-encompassing!"

Well, that gave more questions than it answered and again, after it finished speaking the ball of light just stops talking.

"And who are you?"

"I am what the people in your world, in your language would call God!" the ball of light said as if it was not the biggest bomb shell to drop on someone from Earth.

"Am I dead?"

"No!"

"Then why I'm I here?"

"Because I have a deal for you!" explained God in a mysterious way.

"And what would that be, I mean im sure that you, as God, would be able to do anything, no?" questioned Mark, because honestly, God can't do something really?

"It's not that I can't do it, it's just that I have to ask whether the person takes to deal or not first, before doing it!"

"And how did I get chosen for this deal of yours."

"It was a random selection."

"Ok and what is this deal of yours?"

"I want you to become God!"

.

.

.

"WHAT?" shouted Mark at the top of his lungs, and honestly if they weren't in the Void that shout could destroy at least a few universes, if not multiple multiverses, and not because of power or anything, but just because of the sheer size of his body alone.

"I want you to become God" explained God in a gentler tone than before but keeping the power in his voice.

Taking a moment to process the information, Mark asked the million-dollar question.

"Yeah, I know what you said but, like… Why?"

Up until now God and Mark had been talking from man to ball of light, and when this question was brought up, the ball of light, or God, began transforming into very small fragments of light that all came together in front of Mark in the form of an old man with white hair, a white beard, and looked kind of skinny too.

"Because I am tired. I have lived for too long, and in too many places, been too many people. I just want some rest." Said God now in human form while making a chair behind himself and a table in front, while also making a chair for Mark to sit on.

"Umm… If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been, well God?" asked Mark, as he, himself was very curious.

"Very long, kid. Very, very long." said God with a voice that sounded tired and had long lost the power behind it.

"So, will you take the deal kid, or not?"

"Uhhh… yeah, yeah I'll take the deal, but what will happen to you?" Mark had already made his choice when he heard that God was tired, but he was very curious what would happen to him afterwards.

"I'll finally be able to get some rest." Answered God as his humanoid form began to transform to fragmented light particles that flew straight through Marks body and never came back out except a few that when leaving his body dissipated into nothing.

When all the light particles finally finished entering Marks body, an instant later Mark had known all, been all, experienced all, and all of that because of his Omniscience that he had to turn off and erase the memory of everything he gained from it, otherwise he would spoil himself way too early.

He also had to turn off some other powers and active a few others so that he can still have his human emotions, because believe it or not being omnipotent would require different emotions otherwise if someone with omnipotence got bored, they could just erase everything, and that was not a good thing. Especially if it was the literal creator of absolutely everything and anything.

He would only activate all his power when he is going to retire as he has a plan that would change the entirety of everything after.

He did leave some knowledge behind, like what was previous fictional universes did exist, and even if they did not, he could just create them.

After a few minutes, Mark teleported back to his home world exactly where he was previously, to walk back to his house and "sleep."

While he was at it, he noticed that a few people did get killed during the accident, so he turned back time to the point of the streetlight turning green and woke the driver of the truck up so that he can drive properly. He even gave a little "divine signal" to stop dozing off while driving.

Safe to say that when the driver got home, he decided that he would go to church and pray some.

And while Mark was walking home, even if he could teleport right there, it was better to walk, it finally set in that he has indeed become God.

"So, I'm God… huh?"
