Chapter 20 — More sisters!

—2 hours later—

Emerging from a cave, Leo was wondering if his mother had hidden the turtle as she read his intentions when suddenly his gaze was drawn to a particular area of the forest, "They...".

Watching the people approaching Leo couldn't help but bring his palm to his face, "What an idiot..." he let himself get so caught up in the experience of doing something typical of a child, which he could never do, that he forgot about the twins.

After a little self-criticism, he brushed off the slight musty smell clinging to his robe with a slight wave of his sleeve and started walking towards the cute trio.

"Big brother!" before Leo could say anything, a little girl with light blue hair and eyes ran up to him excitedly.

'Well, she's still as lively as ever' he thought with a smile looking at the youngest of the twins.

"I brought it, big brother! You were looking for it, weren't you?" the little girl said when she was in front of Leo.

"Nn, thank you, Qingge. I've been looking for it for two hours" replied Leo reaching out his hand to mess up the little seer's long silky hair.

"Hehe~" she just laughed contentedly at being able to use her power to help Leo.

The two little twins were not only adorably beautiful and talented, they also had a power that could well be called divine.

Clairvoyance!

Within their tiny bodies resided an immense power that allowed them to see the future, not just their own, but that of anyone they wished!

Qingge, the cheerful younger sister, could see the good futures, and Qiuyue, the stoic violet-eyed older sister, could see the bad ones. Together they could control anyone's destiny if they wanted to.

But it's not all a bed of roses....

"Ow..." Qingge cried out cutely feeling her little cheeks being squeezed.

"But don't do it again" Leo scolded her sensing the smell of a recovery pill still in her body.

Seeing the future was obviously not a power they could use as easily as breathing, using it in normal people cost a lot of energy and in people like Leo or Chisato, who had enough power to change destinies, the consumption was unimaginable.

Of course, this was something Leo still didn't know, and simply thought it was because he was a reincarnated person.

"Um! I won't!" nodding strongly, Qingge replied with a smile that said the opposite. She was a pure-hearted and noble girl after all. If with a little discomfort she could help her older brother, she would not hesitate to do so. Thanks to him her sister could have a more pleasant life after all.

"I told her not to do it" a soft and calm voice suddenly reached his ears.

Leo looked up and saw Qiuyue, who had approached them with slightly quick steps, keeping her characteristic calm and unperturbed face. Though she was clearly happy from the tone of her voice.

"I see you gave her the pills I gave you, good job" he reached out one of his hands again and gently stroked her hair, which was identical to his sister's.

"Mm" Qiuyue closed her eyes and with a slight blush on her cheeks enjoyed his caresses. Unlike her outgoing sister, she was more reserved... but her love for her older brother might be even greater than her sister's!

A year ago, Leo brought her and her sister to this sect using the power of the Wandering Tortoise and gave them a new family, one where she was not hated.

Compared to Qingge, she did not need much energy to use her power, however, she had no control over it. Visions of futures in which unpleasant or unhappy things happened came without warning to her mind. It was hell having to watch such scenes and even more so for a girl like her.

Worst of all was the hatred she earned by trying to prevent such things from happening. She still remembered the time she was deprived of food for 3 whole days as she told her mother that her lover would steal the few jewels she had. Or the time she tried to stop her father from going to the lady fruit vendor's house that night because he would be mugged on the way.

After their father was murdered and their mother abandoned them with a new lover, the little sisters survived on their own using their powers to the fullest.

When Leo found them on one of his outings with the tortoise, both were so thin and haggard from overusing their powers that he couldn't help but take care of them during his stay in that city.

He wasn't planning to bring them with him, situations like theirs were as common as a cold in this world after all, but after hearing their story, he changed his mind.

Obviously he was not such a gentle person to help anyone who was in trouble, even if they were children, at most he would give them some money and the rest would be up to them, but these sisters were like him. They both had a power they didn't ask for and suffered for it, something similar to what he experienced in his first life, so he thought it wouldn't be that bad to have more sisters.

Qiuyue knew that her personality was unpleasant to some people, she always had an indifferent face and only predicted things that no one wanted to hear, but Leo was always nice to her even though she was always cold with him.

And by his side she can't see any unhappy future... being with him fills her little heart with warmth and tranquility, 'maybe... maybe... not just like his younger sister' she thought innocently before slowly opening her eyes.

When she saw Leo caressing her next to her younger sister, and remembering her older sister standing behind her, she knew she wouldn't be the only one in his heart if she followed that path, 'Big brother...'

Still, it was the girl's first love... she couldn't just wipe those feelings away, could she?

"Where will you go, Leo?" asked Pandora, who fairly stood out among the group because of her black dress, unlike the other 3 who wore light garments.

Seeing that they already knew what he would do, Leo took the tortoise from Qingge's arms and replied, "I don't know" holding it in his hands he stroked its chin smiling and added, "This time I'll go to the farthest place this little friend has ever visited."

Hearing that he would be going to a faraway place, for a long time possibly, Qingge didn't hesitate to use her puppy eyes, "Big brother, you're not planning to leave us, are you?"

Qiuyue, on the other hand, just looked up at him softly holding one of his sleeves.

"Have you prepared everything?" Leo had already planned to take them with him from the moment he saw them, so he just wanted to know if they covered their absence since he didn't want to make a fuss over the absence of the 3 Saints.

"Mm, I told sister Yu that Qingge and Qiuyue would try to break through and we would be in closed door for a few days" it was Pandora who replied this time with a beautiful slightly proud smile.

'She must have used her Divine Sense...' Leo thought with a bit of envy as he still couldn't send spiritual transmissions, unlike Pandora who was already at the Third-Stage Immortal Ascension Realm.

"Everything's ready big brother! Let's go!" Qingge was excited to travel again using the Wandering Tortoise, she hadn't done so since they arrived at the sect.

"Nn, hold on to me" Leo instructed as he stroked the tortoise shell, signaling it was time to do its job.

As each of the girls hugged a part of his body, he gave a small flick of his finger and the Wandering Tortoise soon opened a tiny black vortex in front of them.

It didn't take a second for the vortex to grow large enough for the group to be sucked in, leaving only 4 pairs of footprints on the ground.
